Chapter 2171: Chapter 2172: Frost Domain

Red and blue lights intertwined, flames and frost clashed!

As the two contrasting energies collided, the entire world fell silent. Time seemed to freeze at this moment, and all the creatures watching focused their attention on the point of confrontation.

Everyone was anticipating, wondering on whose high ground the victory flag of fire and ice would finally be planted.

All present were fire-element creatures, naturally hoping for the victory of the fire camp. But they waited for a full minute, and still, the blue light and firelight showed no sign of victory or defeat.

However, the firelight representing the Fire Giant began to gradually contract, while Earl Mi’s frost aura rapidly spread.

If this continued, the fist of the Fire Giant would inevitably be broken by Earl Mi.

The Fire Giant seemed to realize this as well; its emotionless eyes gathered a bright light that contained searing hot rays, shooting directly at the point of the clash.

After a thunderous roar.

The Fire Giant’s fist shattered into countless fireballs, scattering several fire clouds across the sky like fireworks.

The giant ice shield created by Earl Mi also suffered numerous cracks, and after a crackling sound, the web-like pattern quickly spread over the semi-circular ice shield. With a gust of wind, the ice shield fragments dispersed like falling starry light, vanishing in an instant.

The Fire Giant’s fist shattered, and Earl Mi’s shield shattered. It seemed that both sides had suffered, and their initial confrontation was quite evenly matched.

But all the fire-element creatures who understood the battle situation sighed inwardly.

The Fire Giant had gathered its force, accumulating fire energy for a long time, and launched a powerful sneak attack; while Earl Mi made a hasty, passive defense, and the Fire Giant had yet to step into the snow, still in the real fire-element domain.

The Fire Giant had even used the bright light from its eyes, yet even so, the two sides only tied.

So, on the surface, it was evenly matched, but the true victor was Earl Mi.

However, the fire-element creatures present were not discouraged. After all, this was their home ground, and they still believed that the Fire Giant could defeat the outsider.

The home-field advantage was indeed significant; the Fire Giant’s fist had been shattered, but amid the dense fire-element energy, it recovered almost instantly. Moreover, it launched a second wave of attack against Earl Mi.

This time, the Fire Giant no longer competed with Earl Mi on whose elemental energy strength was higher but instead used high-speed impact and its massive fists to directly engage Earl Mi in a battle of elements and strength.

Everywhere was filled with red light and thunderous booms.

The ground cracked, and hollows caved in.

The surrounding elemental energy was extremely chaotic, and even those who wanted to help the Fire Giant dared not approach.

In this situation, Angel also found it difficult to intervene in the raging battle between the two sides, and could only prepare in secret, ready to provide assistance at any moment.

”Chirp chirp.” Toby’s voice sounded in Angel’s ear.

Toby was asking Angel who would win, Earl Mi or the Fire Giant.

Toby didn’t actually care about Earl Mi; it was just gossiping, even pulling out dried fish from the Snow Feather, with the demeanor of a spectator.

Toby, of course, understood the situation on the scene. The reason it wasn’t anxious was that it knew the current situation was not that dire, and whether to fight or retreat, they could do so leisurely. Toby could easily take Angel in and out.

Moreover, Angel also had a trump card up his sleeve.

Without any worries, Toby naturally maintained a good attitude.

”Earl Mi will win,” Angel replied without hesitation.

The Fire Giant was very strong, and if Angel confronted it head-on, he might not win. But this was only in direct confrontation; the Fire Giant’s fighting style was vast and aggressive, which was both its instinct and its strength. Using one’s weaknesses to meet the opponent’s strengths was naturally at a disadvantage.

But if it wasn’t a direct confrontation, relying solely on speed and various limiting techniques, the Fire Giant was just a decent sandbag.

Yet Earl Mi was different; he came from the Panic Realm where even mortals lived in constant fear and fought for survival daily. Earl Mi had been fighting since he was little; after Awakening, he fought against all kinds of top-tier Demon People and Awakened Demon People. His battle experience and wisdom were top-notch, and in this regard, even multiple Angels combined might not match up to Earl Mi.

Earl Mi was also stronger than Angel, so facing the Fire Giant was basically no problem for him.

He could even defeat the Fire Giant in direct combat.

And Earl Mi indeed did just that.

The moment Angel finished speaking, there was a terrifying loud noise.

Looking up, Earl Mi had found a gap amid the Fire Giant’s chaotic punches. With a shift of his figure, he kicked the Fire Giant’s abdomen, and in an instant, the fiercely burning flames on the Fire Giant’s abdomen were directly frozen, and it was kicked into the air.

Taking advantage of the Fire Giant losing control, Earl Mi launched continuous attacks on it.

Each strike either froze a part or shattered the flames directly.

”Chirp... chirp.” Seeing this scene, Toby didn’t find the dried fish in its hand appealing anymore, with only one thought in mind: so violent.

The battle continued.

Seeing the Fire Giant trapped in a predicament, if Earl Mi continued his attack, it would inevitably suffer the same fate as the Darkflame Werewolves.

At this moment, a strange black light shield suddenly appeared on the Fire Giant’s body.

The black light shield enveloped the entire Fire Giant, and Earl Mi’s attacks could not penetrate the shield in the short term, only causing slight ripples.

Meanwhile, the Fire Giant took this opportunity to frantically absorb the surrounding fire-element energy.

The active fire-element energy entered its body, instantly dispelling the freezing damage caused by Earl Mi and reshaping its shattered organs.

The home-field advantage once again showed its worth.

However, absorbing too much active and chaotic energy added a tinge of frenzy to the Fire Giant’s previously calm eyes.

Obviously, the Fire Giant was affected as well.

This influence would certainly harm the Fire Giant’s fire-element Origin in the long run, but it was an immense boost at the moment, as the frenzy of fire matched its expansive and aggressive combat style perfectly.

Under the protection of the black light shield, the Fire Giant began to launch a fierce attack once more.

This time, although the Fire Giant was frenzied, it did not blindly attack Earl Mi but instead used its violent fire fists to suppress the surrounding icy aura. Angel could see that it wanted to dispel the icy fog domain and expand its fire-element home-field advantage.

”Previously, its eyes were completely deathly stillness, and it fought purely on instinct, without a hint of deviation, making me think it had no wisdom.” Angel said, ”But now, there are some changes.”

However, this fighting wisdom was really child’s play.

Thinking that suppressing the icy aura was enough. But it did not consider that Earl Mi could summon the icy aura again.

Just like that bumbling creature before, very simple-minded.

While Angel was thinking this, his gaze unconsciously turned to the black light shield of the Fire Giant.

”This black light shield also looks familiar; it seems that bumbling furball creature from before released something similar. Is this a common skill among fire element creatures in the Lava Lake?”

Angel quickly discarded this thought, instead seizing the moment during the battle to communicate psychically with the Fire Giant.

Previously, he felt that the Fire Giant lacked intelligence, but now that there was a slight possibility of intelligence, Angel still decided to try to communicate with it.

The transmitted content first queried whether the Fire Giant was Midir of Infernal Fire?

After a while, there was no response. But Angel estimated it was unlikely; as a monarch of the region, he would be proud of his identity and not deny even this question. Moreover, this Fire Giant seemed not very bright; Midir of Infernal Fire, as the New King, shouldn’t be this foolish.

Even though there was no response, Angel continued transmitting, explaining that they were not spies but accidental passersby.

Whether it believed it or not was up to it.

Regardless, if it didn’t, it might still disrupt the combat rhythm and help Earl Mi find a breakthrough point earlier.

After the transmission, the Fire Giant showed no reaction and behaved as usual, like a cold, mechanical warrior.

Angel stopped speaking, waiting for the battle to reach a pause while observing the surroundings.

Two more minutes passed.

The Fire Giant had already compressed the frost mist domain created by Earl Mi to one-tenth of its original size.

Meanwhile, Earl Mi finally broke the Fire Giant’s black light shield. Earl Mi didn’t stop and continued to attack, wanting to see if the Fire Giant could raise this strong defensive shield again.

However, it was clear the Fire Giant couldn’t muster the shield again in a short time, and under Earl Mi’s attack, its body showed signs of freezing again.

Even though many parts of its body began to freeze, the Fire Giant didn’t give up suppressing the frost mist domain and continued headstrong, thinking it could cut off Earl Mi’s retreat.

Angel couldn’t help but shake his head, did the Fire Giant really think Earl Mi’s power came from the frost mist domain?

As Angel lamented, Toby started chirping away again.

Toby wasn’t chirping about the battle overhead but rather looking toward the distant Lava Lake.

Following Toby’s gaze, Angel saw the previously calm center of the Lava Lake suddenly develop a vortex that grew larger, forming a hollow.

From this hollow emerged a magma giant whale about fifty meters long, radiating a bright orange glow.

It spurted a pillar of fire from its blowhole, flapped its tail fin, and flew towards the cliff, seemingly intending to join the battle.

The magma giant whale was only the beginning; from deeper within the Lava Lake, possibly even from the other side of the lake, came a flame Phoenix larger than the magma giant whale.

The Phoenix, also called the Phoenix Bird. In the Wizards’ Realm, it is a legendary magical creature, born from erupting volcanic lava, dwelling long within volcanoes, itself a fire attribute legendary magical creature.

But this Phoenix was more than just a magical creature; its entire body was composed of fire elements, a true Flame Phoenix!

It flapped its fiery wings and shook its elegant tail feathers, carrying a roaring fury like an arrow shooting towards the battlefield.

The energy intensity of the Flame Phoenix was undoubtedly no weaker than that of the Fire Giant.

Besides the Flame Phoenix, Angel also saw several terrifying elemental creatures popping up, some still in observation, while others directly landed ashore.

It seemed that the battle between Earl Mi and the Fire Giant had drawn the majority of life forms in this region.

Facing such a massive group of fire element creatures, Angel felt his heart sink and began pondering a retreat plan.

The Earl Mi in the sky also noticed the changes in surrounding fire energy, and while the Fire Giant was distracted, he steered a sharp ice spike towards the Fire Giant’s heart and then swiftly withdrew hundreds of meters.

The heart position of the Fire Giant happened to be its elemental core.

Earl Mi controlled it well, not completely destroying the elemental core—not out of mercy but to prevent the Fire Giant from self-destructing like the furball creature before.

He merely pierced a small gap, selectively malfunctioning the core without destroying it but causing the energy within the Fire Giant’s body to start leaking.

However, the Fire Giant could still absorb external flame energy to maintain a balance, at least not fearing core damage. But engaging in high-intensity combat was no longer possible.

In a blink of an eye, Earl Mi had effectively deprived the Fire Giant of the majority of its combat power.

After dealing with the Fire Giant, Earl Mi transformed into a panther-like awakened state, hovering in mid-air. His cold eyes gazed at the distant flame army.

”Should we retreat?” Angel’s voice echoed in Earl Mi’s mind. This time he didn’t give an order directly, wanting to see Earl Mi’s own decision.

The blue lantern flower above Earl Mi’s head swayed, conveying a response of ”no need.”

Angel understood that Earl Mi wouldn’t engage in a fight without assurance. Since he said there was no need, evidently, he believed he still possessed the power to battle even against these formidable fire element creatures.

Angel didn’t stop Earl Mi.

After all, he and Toby were still present and capable of assisting Earl Mi in the battle. If necessary, they could strategically retreat; even if they couldn’t open a door, they could use the Gravity Meridian to leave the battlefield.

As the magma giant whale and the Flame Phoenix approached.

After a moment of silence, Earl Mi lightly pressed down with his front paw, and ripples of blue-hued light patterns rapidly spread, covering a range of several miles.

At the same time, the blue lantern flower above his head released several bubbles, fusing into the light-patterned ripples.

At the moment the bubbles merged with the ripples, the dense fire energy around vanished instantly, replaced by a world of sweeping ice and snow...

Previously, when Earl Mi faced the Darkflame Werewolf, he casually created a frost mist domain.

But this time, Earl Mi solemnly activated his awakened talent, transforming the frost mist domain into a true Frost Domain!

If this were in the outside world, it might instantly become a pure white frosty realm. But here, given it’s a region where fire energy is most active, creating a Frost Domain was already stretching the limit.

The scorched earth turned to snowfield, ground flames froze into ice pillars, smoke transformed into a heavenly ice river.

In this transparent world, all the flames had vanished.

The drifting smoke and dust turned to grey frost, scattering to the ground.

Even the space itself seemed frozen.

The only sound that remained was a sharp voice, cursing in the solidified time and space: ”This is... the Ice and Snow Domain! As expected, as expected! Previously claimed to be passers-by, but it’s obviously a deceiving lie! You are spies of Frost Iser!”
