Chapter 1783: Section 1784: Tea Party

Tea party host—”Rose Crown” Lianna?

Angel was taken aback for a moment, then he suddenly remembered that he had indeed heard from David earlier that Lianna was going to host a tea party.

And it’s a large tea party.

A tea party sounds like a group of witches gathering to drink tea and chat idly, and in fact... it is indeed so.

However, the status of the tea party in the Southern Domain Wizard World is by no means low. In fact, in various witcher organizations’ considerations, the tea party is much more important than any novice contest, even comparable to Crown Star Church’s Starwatch Day.

At the tea party, most witch organizations in the Southern Domain gather together, using the tea party to exchange information with witches as the focal point.

On average, women generally have higher sensitivity and ability to capture information than men. Naturally, witches have not lost this talent ingrained deep in their marrow; the information swaps—or gossip—they engage in at the tea party often yield very secretive news.

For instance, the sewer ruins discovered in Winsbills, the Labyrinth of Joy of King Sherman, and the demonic sage hidden in the Roman Mountains were all inferred through the witches’ exchanges at the tea party.

It can be said that, the tea party is a major information exchange chatroom.

Besides the chatroom, some witches also use the tea party as a venue for comparison, a perfume shop, an aid station, a psychology clinic, or even a market for extraordinary items—after all, when so many witches gather, maximizing utilization is something witches would consider.

Of course, tea parties are not entirely beneficial; there are also some downsides. For example, there may be some with ulterior motives who deliberately induce, amplify, and spread rumors that are false or not entirely true.

A few mouths spreading rumors is already hard to clarify, and after so many mouths chattering, the rumor becomes a terrifying force.

Angel once heard a rumor about an affectionate wizard who deeply loved the partner he grew up with, rejecting the courtship of a black wizard. In a fit of anger, that witch portrayed the affectionate wizard as fickle and disloyal at the tea party, using various means to slander him. Although many witches at the tea party confirmed through their own methods that she was fabricating stories, the bystanders did not clarify, and most even fuel the rumor with a mindset of watching the drama.

This led many who did not know the truth to believe this rumor. As it spread wider, the wizard’s partner eventually left the Southern Domain alone because of this rumor. It is said that the affectionate wizard is still waiting alone to this day.

Apart from this, there are many other rumors from tea parties. The gossip about Song of the Deep Sea’s Nereus having abnormal relations with some marine creatures, such as dolphins, was also exaggerated at the tea party.

Now, most people are well aware that Nereus’s affair might be a rumor, but it doesn’t matter, as long as they can use this rumor to harm Nereus, that’s enough.

So, even though the validation arts have been researched deeply in the Wizard Realm, rumors cannot be completely eradicated because some people can’t see the truth, and others pretend not to see it.

Even though tea parties have such negative messages, overall, the tea party is still a very important medium for information exchange.

Because of this, all witcher organizations and wizard families are happy to host the tea party.

The venue of the tea party usually depends on who the host is for the particular event.

For example, for the next tea party, since the host is Lianna, the venue will naturally be held at Barbarian Cave.

Thinking of this, Angel also understood why Thorn Witch just said ”they will meet again soon.” Because once the tea party is officially held, Barbarian Cave will surely be open conditionally to the witches attending the tea party. By then, Thorn Witch will naturally have the opportunity to come and find him.

”I see.” Angel said, looking at Thorn Witch: ”Then we’ll have to wait and see.”

Thorn Witch smiled: ”The tea party will also have many trade items. If the Transcendental Wizard takes a fancy to one, I will try my best to obtain it, as long as I can exchange for ocean rhythmites.”

Thorn Witch’s meaning was clear, even if Angel doesn’t fancy the price she offers, should he fancy something from the tea party, she will find a way to get it to trade with Angel.

Angel looked deeply at Thorn Witch, nodded without comment, and then turned to go upstairs.

Thorn Witch watched Angel’s figure gradually disappear from her sight, a determined look in her eyes. Then she contained her expression and looked towards Greya: ”Let’s go, the small tea party themed on Shadow Box is about to begin. After attending the tea party, we can visit what you mentioned... what was it...”

”Magic performance.” Greya reminded.

”Yes, we can drop by Sharley’s magic performance.”

The two women chatted as they left the hall, flying toward the direction of the main city.

Angel walked along the second-floor corridor, feeling the aura of Greya and Thorn Witch disappear from the manor, he sighed lightly.

Though he told Thorn to ”wait and see,” in his true feelings he never planned on making the trade.

Angel considered that during the time Lianna hosts the tea party, he better find an excuse to leave Barbarian Cave to avoid meeting Thorn.

After all, there is still some time before the tea party. Angel shook his head, temporarily setting these matters aside to focus on the preparations for leaving.

Next, Angel went to the study to consult with Sanders about the travel plan.

Since Sanders had to look for Horus due to other matters, a time of about ten hours had to be reserved. They finally decided to leave tomorrow afternoon.

During the period before departure, Angel could also take the opportunity to say goodbye to his friends.

...

The night came, and Angel lifted his head from feverish writing.

The dim yellow light illuminated the unfinished draft on the parchment in front of him, with various mystical patterns and symbols below.

At the same time, beside the draft was three figures, namely a small seabird, a gryphon, and a snake bird.

Angel was planning to design an alchemy equipment for Toby that would be universally usable as a gift for Toby’s advancement.

Toby’s attack power is already strong, forming its own system, and designing any weapon seems somewhat superfluous. As for defense items, snake bird’s coat of armor is already a natural defense, without slowing down Toby’s speed, so there is no need to devise defense equipment specifically.

After deliberation, Angel prepared to design alchemy equipment that focuses more on enhancing Toby’s energy attributes.

However, making it compatible with three forms isn’t easy.

Solving the transformation issue demands consideration of more conditions.

Although it can’t be accomplished overnight, Angel doesn’t intend to give up. After all, if Toby becomes stronger, he can provide assistance to Angel to a certain degree.
