Following these notifications, Sheyan’s field of view was completely filled with a bright white light, while his body was stinging like he was being dipped in boiling water!

The bullets from the silvery machine gun in the middle-aged man’s hands spread out into a large net of light and came flying over. Sanzi was right behind Sheyan. He could not, and would not, retreat by a single step.

In Sheyan’s philosophy, not retreating….meant pressing forward!

Pressing forward with indomitable will!

A fierce growl burst out from his throat as he charged forward while enduring the opponent’s attacks. His exceptional momentum was akin to a speedboat charging up against a waterfall at an unparalleled speed, striving to break through the clouds!

The enemy Sheyan was facing was, of course, the temporary leader of the party that was damaged by the Glory Party, Dark Sky. Dark Sky was one of the pillars of the team, holding a similar amount of prestige to Zi in Party Ace!

Facing Sheyan’s charge, his pupils shrunk slightly despite himself. Even MTs had to stop to defend themselves against this ferocious attack of his. Dark Sky had never met a crazy guy like Sheyan who dared to brave this attack in order to rush at himself, as if he did not care about his own life!

Sheyan was already halfway to Dark Sky in the blink of an eye. He had forcefully endured most of the shots from the machine gun transformed from Dark Sky equipment, ‘Mr. Florence’, while some of them he had blocked or had bounced away. The shots made little white glows in the air like fireworks. It was very beautiful.

Dark Sky could no longer remain calm. He extended his left hand and firmly pressed his palm flat against the silvery-white machine gun.

Blocks started appearing from the surface of the machine gun like a Rubik’s Cube. They rapidly rotated and rearranged themselves into a silvery-white shoulder-mounted grenade launcher. With a loud boom, more than ten silver glowing projectiles shot out of it, neatly covering the area 40 meters ahead in a carpet bombing!

This attack was no doubt the nightmare of all assassin-type contestants! No matter how fast you were or how quickly you could dodge, against an area-wide carpet bombing like this, you could only pay with your HP!

*BOOM*

More than ten astonishingly huge clouds of smoke over 20 meters high rose on this side of the hill in an instant, the craters they made exceeding 10 meters in diameter. The place looked like it had been simultaneously bombed by several Katyusha rocket launchers. Such a wide attack range was truly shocking!

But Dark Sky did not feel any joy at all from hitting the enemy, because he could sense that not only had the attack been unable to seriously injure the opponent, it had angered him!

He felt fear akin to being closed in by a monstrous beast!

But a man who had fought hundreds of battles like him had faced much worse than this. He immediately rested both his hands on that powerful equipment of his, ‘Mr. Florence’.

Blue veins appeared from the fingertips on both of his hands to drill deep into the equipment like slithering snakes! ‘Mr. Florence’, which had transformed into a multi-barrel grenade launcher, once again rapidly shapeshifted like a Rubik’s Cube. This time, it transformed into a shield with a diameter of about three meters shaped like a radar dish, continuously flashing a silvery-white light. The shield protected Dark Sky behind it.

Usually, a shield would have a convex structure, curving outwards, but the radar dish shield formed by ‘Mr. Florence’ had a concave structure, curving inwards. If one were to inspect its surface carefully, one would see various mysterious patterns and abstract text on it.

The silvery-white umbrella shield had a futuristic look of high-end technology, while the patterns on its surface were full of a primitive, barbaric and awe-inspiring feel akin to the paintings left by cavemen thousands of years ago. The combination of the two contrasting styles gave rise to an indescribable feeling of majesty and mystery. And the closer one got to the dish-shaped shield, the stronger one could feel the tremendous pulling force from the shield, as if it was inviting others to hit it!

Sheyan laughed aloud when he saw such a weird protection. Then, his gaze turned sharp.

No matter what you do, I will break it down with one punch!

When he reached the shield, he clenched his fist, bent his elbow and gathered his strength…. The dark green light on his fist condensed into a glow so strong that it could dazzle one’s eyes!!

With a loud shout, Sheyan launched a lightning-quick fist on the very center of the silver shield!!

The silver shield gave out a low hum in protest. As if triggered by Sheyan’s punch, the mysterious patterns and text on the shield surface shined with a biting light one after another. The light immediately formed a mirror image and bounced back with tremendous force! This hastily formed radar-dish shield actually had a 100% counter-damage special effect!!

“So that’s the trick. But do you really think it’ll work against me?” Sheyan uttered a long and loud cry, and his entire body suddenly shined with a transparent layer of light wave.

“Display your power….’Extinction’!!”

The brutal and dazzling glow of ‘Extinction’ appeared on Sheyan’s fist and flashed past.

The mysterious patterns and text on the surface of the silver shield shined even brighter, as if they were trying to replicate the power of ‘Extinction’. But! The price of doing so was to burn like they had short-circuited, and finally turning into ashes!

This was forbidden territory! It. Could. Not. Be. Violated!

Sheyan’s punch took this opportunity to drive straight into the shield and broke its surface. The shattered fragments sprayed outwards like erupting fireworks. Grass that was cut by the fragments burned, and when the fragments skimmed over the rock nearby, they left long and dazzling lines of sparks! From this, one could tell how much power had been packed into this punch!

Sheyan’s punch smashed cleanly into Dark Sky’s right shoulder behind the shield!

It was a punch at the peak of Sheyan’s power. Dense fractures appeared on Dark Sky’s shoulder blade and arm bones, then spread outside to his flesh. His right arm burst into a bloody mist!

Dark Sky’s equipment, ‘Mr. Florence’, let out a sorrowful cry like the grating of a chainsaw on a steel plate. It had probably absorbed a portion of the destructive power for Dark Sky. It returned to the form of a silvery-white box, but the box now had a large amount of cracks on its surface!

Sheyan had not been able to do anything but take hits for over ten seconds previously, being shot at and bombarded at, but he paid it all back and more with this one single punch! He instantly felt much better.

But right when Sheyan wished to follow up with a kick, his vision suddenly turned dark, as if his whole body had been enclosed in something. After looking more carefully, he found that he was being surrounded by stone walls. It did not take him long to realise that it was Sanzi trying to help him, so he remained motionless. Almost immediately, he felt a series of explosions coming from the outside, as if the earth itself was falling apart. Even behind the protection, Sheyan was subjected to some heavy impact.

When the explosions stopped, Sheyan found that he was standing in the middle of a huge mudstone ball. Of course, the object was in tatters by now, and had moved him over fifty meters away from the place where he fought with Dark Sky.

It turned out that Dark Sky had a teleporting ability somewhat similar to Aldaris’ ‘Blood Elude’. As soon as Sheyan struck Dark Sky, Dark Sky had instantly triggered the bombs he had planted on the hill beforehand, and teleported away. But of course, Sanzi and Kulutego would not let him have his way. They used the power of the teenage cyclops to create a huge mudstone ball around Sheyan, which immediately rolled down the hill. The more intense the explosions, the further the mudstone ball was pushed from the center of the explosion radius.

Dark Sky had teleported to the top of another hill. He gasped for breath with a strong feeling of unwillingness in his heart, and some unspeakable fears! That punch of Sheyan’s was truly earth-shattering. The defensive ability Dark Sky had always been so proud of easily crumbled like a piece of paper with a single punch!

What’s more terrifying was that Dark Sky’s party knew that this was their last chance and that they would perish if they failed, so they had bought a large amount of precious medicines with everything they had. Among them were naturally medicines to regrow broken limbs. But after Dark Sky took the medicine, the remnant power of ‘Extinction’ left on his shoulder immediately let him understand what brutality, tyranny and shamelessness means! The merciless glow of ‘Extinction’ flashed again, smashing the new limb that had just grown out of Dark Sky into dust!
