The Ultimate Evolution

Facing the fierce chop, Sheyan did not hesitate to raise his hands and cross them in front of him to intercept the blow the air. Of course, the blocking ability of the ‘Planetary-Grade High-Energy Mechanical Power Gloves’ after they had been strengthened was a great help.

The sparks from the impact illuminated the T-1000’s face. Sheyan originally thought the Terminator would have a deadpan expression as Terminators usually did, but contrary to his expectation, the T-1000’s face was contorted into a snarl. There was even a crazed bloodlust in his eyes!

That shook Sheyan. He was now sure that his previous deduction was correct — these powerful Terminators were indeed injected with emotions of hatred.

Although Sheyan managed to block in time, the T-1000’s cleaver still tore through his skin. Blood came pouring down like rain. A powerful impact with a terrible paralyzing electric shock forced Sheyan to stagger back by five or six steps. His hair stood erect from the shock.

From this exchange, one could see the advantage that evading had over blocking or parrying. To evade was to completely avoid the opponent’s attack without sustaining any damage, while blocking would only enable a partial reduction of the damage according to the situation on both sides.

For example, when Reef used his dark gold shield to block ordinary bullets, he would still receive damage, but the damage value of each bullet would be quite low — about 2 or 3 points., which were negligible. However, when Sheyan crossed his gloves in front of him to block the T-1000’s cleaver, the damage reduction this time was only around 50%.

At that moment, Brother Black spoke in the party communication channel.

“Boss, Dolittle just sent us intel on the T-1000.”

That old man Dolittle was watching and analysing the battle through real-time video feedbacks.

Mogensha soon transmitted the intel of the T-1000 to Sheyan, which appeared in his vision. He could call on it anytime.

While Sheyan was reading up on the T-1000, the Terminator itself had already got close to him. It sent a knee towards Sheyan. In response, Sheyan retreated half a step and grabbed the Terminator’s foot. He then tried to flip the T-1000 over.

However, the T-1000 merely put its hands to the ground for support. The hands touching the ground rapidly changed into a pair of feet, while its feet turned into its arms. Its head grew from its groin. It now stood upright as if it had not been flipped at all. It took advantage of the moment of surprise to counter-attack and land some strikes on Sheyan.

Seeing that the two T-910 Terminators underneath the rubble were about to climb out, Sheyan immediately made up his mind. He pulled out ‘Ambition’ which had been collecting dust in his personal storage and shot at the T-1000! The lead bullet, although relatively soft, did considerable damage to the Terminator. A small part of the T-1000’s head was blasted away.

This T-1000 was a Terminator that had been injected with human emotions; the shot instantly angered it. Sheyan’s action was akin to a cockroach that crawled to a human’s face and took a sh*t. So when Sheyan turned and fled into the night, the T-1000 immediately ran after him with its face distorted in fury.

Although this move by Sheyan would ensure that the rest of Party Ace would have a relatively easier time, it also meant that the pressure on himself would increase several folds. But to step forward at the most dangerous times was also the responsibility of the party leader, right? Otherwise, how could he make others believe in him?

The speed of the T-1000 was absolutely not slow. Sheyan clearly remembered the many scenes in the movie where a T-1000 had used only its legs to catch up to a speeding car. Therefore, less than 300 meters later, Sheyan could already feel a burst of wind from behind him — the T-1000 had jumped on him! Its arms changed into two sharp hooks mid-swing, ferociously aiming towards Sheyan’s shoulder blades.

Sheyan dodged by shifting his body sideways, simultaneously kicking towards the T-1000’s stomach with one foot. The kick was so strong that it broke open the T-1000’s abdomen. However, that also meant that Sheyan’s foot was temporarily trapped in its belly.

In that instant, the T-1000 quickly shapeshifted. It was originally its stomach that was holding onto Sheyan’s right leg, but it quickly became its arms. The T-1000’s directly shapeshifted into a low-gravity pose of a shoulder throw. Even with Sheyan’s resourcefulness, he could not find ways to stop himself from losing his balance and be thrown hard onto the ground.

Then, the T-1000 looked down at Sheyan with disdainful eyes. It raised a foot and stomped down ruthlessly. Even more vicious was the fact that the foot had turned into a sharp spear in the process of falling down!

Sheyan could only roll away. The hard concrete ground was penetrated hard by the T-1000’s foot, and the crushed pieces splattered. The sharp spear changed back into the right foot of the T-1000 in an instant.

“I can’t let this go on. If we continue like this, I’ll definitely come off worse.”

Faced with the tremendous pressure of the T-1000 closing in on him, Sheyan pulled out ‘+7 West’ and struck back. The saber cut into the left shoulder of the T-1000 30 centimeters deep and almost sliced a large piece of the Terminator off. However, the T-1000 continued to shapeshift like cloud and water. With a wriggle, the parts around the wound became its left and right hands. Its ten fingers held tight to the blade while the T-1000 itself was half-kneeling in a strange pose, seemingly in an attempt to seize Sheyan’s ‘+7 West’ away from him!

At the same time, electricity flowed between the T-1000’s fingers. The Terminator was obviously intending to take advantage of this close contact opportunity to send some electric currents into Sheyan’s body to teach this human a profound lesson!

Faced with such a strange way of fighting, Sheyan was indeed dazzled and caught by surprise.

After the initial astonishment, he immediately pull back his saber with a shout and leaped aside, but his whole body was already convulsing in shock while he was in mid-air. He lost his balance and fell hard to the ground. The electricity spread to the spot where Sheyan landed, causing the trees, vines and grasses there to wither in an instant. If he had not immediately broke off direct contact with the T-1000 thanks to his intuition, he would have suffered much greater harm!

But how could the T-100 give Sheyan a chance to take a breather under such circumstances? It immediately ran over in huge strides, then raised its left palm and swatted it down from the top like it was swatting a fly, only the palm had quickly dissolved and transformed into a long, sharp knife while in the process of moving down. The magnificent momentum it carried would make anyone who was under it feel like they were about to be chopped into two!

The knife finally gave Sheyan a serious blow. He took two steps back and leaned against a big tree, all the while covering his mouth with his hand. He coughed violently, and crimson blood seeped through his fingers — that was a sign of severe lung damage. Karma was indeed a b*tch. He had previously jabbed the Terminators several times in the chest, and now the favour was immediately returned to him.

“I’m alright,” Sheyan’s voice was hoarse as he spoke into the party communication channel, “It’s about time, right, Reef?”
