Chapter 922: Bone Words

To be honest, both Sheyan and Aziz would rather rest in the MIB headquarters.

According to their calculation, the next Blood Sensing was arriving soon and would last for up to two hours! No one knew what the rest of the participants would do, so there was no doubt that staying in the MIB headquarters was the best choice. After all, to launch an attack here was equivalent to provoking the United States of America. That’s not something to be taken lightly even for the participants.

After Sheyan had collected three Bloody Invitation Letters, he could see six clearly marked locations throughout New York City. As long as Sheyan brought three Invitation Letters there, he could return to the realm. He figured that as long as he stayed there, no participants would dare to exert pressure on him.

Of course, everyone who was qualified to participate in the Bloody World was smart. Since Sheyan and Aziz could team up, so could the other participants. In fact, they had no choice but to do so because the teaming up of Aziz and Sheyan was an external factor that was extremely terrifying - they felt that they would die for sure if they did not team up. Under such pressure, they knew what they had to do.

Will this transform the Bloody World into a large-scale team battle?

Of course not. The foundation of team battle was the team. However, these participants were all extremely arrogant people. Even if they had teamed up, they were not sincerely cooperating. While they had become closer to each other after becoming temporary companions, they had also undoubtedly shortened the distance to attack other participants!

Even Sheyan and Aziz who were forcefully brought together by their realm under the promise of huge interests were still extremely wary of one another. Imagine how fragile the alliances between the other contestants were.

When K saw the reluctance of Sheyan and Aziz to mobilise, his expression gradually turned dark. Sheyan’s image in K’s eyes was already terrible so Sheyan didn’t care if it got worse. On the other hand, Aziz had to hide his bitterness. In order to maintain his image in K’s heart, he could only say:

”Okay, I’m coming right away.”

　　*********

After the two of them jumped into the Cadillac, K finally showed them a powerful alien technology in order to save some time. The car completely overturned the Earth’s gravity. It first travelled a few kilometers on the side wall of the tunnel, then travelled another few kilometers on the ceiling of the tunnel!

When they arrived at the crime scene, they could already smell a strong smell of blood from the street! Many of the passers-by who stopped to see what happened were fiercely vomiting. K’s expression turned even uglier. Sheyan and Aziz immediately realised that this was not the work of Jones. Warm blood and fresh bodies were the best nutrients to cultivate more Bugs, so he would never waste these things.

Sheyan was constantly thinking of how they could quickly return to the MIB headquarters, so when he saw this situation, he was immediately energised:

”This definitely was not done by Jones, so it’s none of my business. We should immediately go back to the headquarters and wait for news. Don’t get side-tracked by less important things. We’ll regret it if the headquarters receive actual news of Jones but we miss it!”

Aziz actually agreed with Sheyan and nodded lightly. However, K walked in with a solemn face.

The place seemed to be a nightclub which had everything a nightclub could offer and even those that they should not have legally offered! That’s why, the business was good.

But at the moment, the nightclub had turned into hell. It was completely covered in blood.

Sheyan and Aziz had both seen some crazy stuff before, but they were still shocked by the scene. This nightclub was converted from an underground parking lot, so the the stairs at the entrance was tilted down. A lot of broken corpses were messily piled up there. The edges of the corpse pieces seemed to have been cut by sharp saws - the cuts were shockingly smooth.

When an incident occured, the people would naturally flocked to the exit, so the massacre here was also the most intense. The decorations on the walls further into the nightclub were also hung full of internal organs. The place looked like hell.

There was inexplicably no blood nor flesh on the dance floor. However, it wasn’t clean either. It was full of bones - not the kind of rotten bones that would break when they were touched, but fresh, flexible bones with tendons and ligaments still on them!

The bones were piled up into a tall, mysterious, three-dimensional symbol. It looked like a sculpture but also a word at the same time. Logically speaking, it should have looked evil, but somehow it looked mysteriously sacred to them!

--- as if it exuded an unspeakable feeling of benevolence, making people worship it!

K stood still for a while. Besides the obvious look of anger in his eyes, he also looked confused. Suddenly, Sheyan felt a very unusual surge of energy. The words formed from piled up bones shone bright and the sounds of wailing could be heard. The energy circled and twisted, then shot straight towards the sky! A huge vortex formed in the clouds on the sky. The center of the vortex could almost reveal the vast universe.

A violent wind rose in the nightclub that was remodeled from an underground parking lot, forcing everyone there to close their eyes and step back. The strong wind lasted for nearly six minutes before it gradually subsided. They discovered that the bone sculpture in the middle of the floor had collapsed into rotten debris.

Sheyan grabbed a handful of what was left of the bones to inspect, but it immediately turned into a very fine powder that slipped away from the cracks between his fingers. The bones had completely lost their previous freshness and had turned into bones that had decayed for thousands of years.

”What the hell was that?” mumbled K.

He couldn’t help but be a bit scared even with the things that he had experienced. After all, the scene he just saw was so sinister, yet felt so inexplicably sacred and majestic.

As for the question of who cut up the corpses, the one he could think of were the aliens from Gwei planet. The forelimbs of these aliens were curved like praying mantises and could strike a fatal blow at any time.

The problem was that most of the time, the Gwei aliens on Earth only used their claws to cut rocks. To them, the core part of a rock was as delicious as a walnut that had its hard outer shell peeled. Their digestive system could not handle organic matters.

K had never met a Gwei alien who violated interstellar regulations in his 40 years in the business, let alone a large scale massacre of humans.

The reserve agents poured in because they were worried that K might have met with an accident inside. When they laid eyes on the horrible sight, all of them started to vomit. These young people were obviously not as mentally tough as K was.

After they had gotten used slightly to the situation in front of them, one of the agents wiped away the gastric juice flowing down his mouth and gave a phone to K, saying:

”Agent K, it’s for you.”

After K took the call, his face became even more solemn. He told Sheyan and Aziz:

”Six other similar massacre scenes were found throughout New York City. The only difference is that the bone words aren’t similar!”

As he said that, K showed them the bone words from the other places. Although Sheyan and Aziz only saw the photos, they could still feel the mixed feeling of sacredness, mystery and evil!

K took the initiative and told them:

”Let’s go.”

Aziz asked in confusion:

”Where to?”

K stared at Aziz. Obviously, if it was Sheyan who asked, he most likely wouldn’t even get a response.

”The MIB database integrates information from various extraterrestrial sources. It should be easy to identify the meaning of these seven bone words. We must first understand the meaning of these words before we can plan the next move.”

Sheyan suddenly said:

”What if this matter isn’t related to Jones? Then congratulations, Mr. K, because you will be taking a huge step on the path to the destruction of the Earth.”

K glared at Sheyan and asked:

”Do you have any information about Jones right now?”

Sheyan was instantly silenced. Aziz coldly glared at Sheyan and said:

”We don’t have time to argue! Let’s get back to the MIB headquarters first! It’s meaningless to argue here!”

Sheyan immediately recalled that the Blood Sensing was coming. He instantly shut his mouth and hastily returned to K’s car - the Cadillac that appeared outdated but was filled with highly-advanced technology - and obediently put on his seatbelt.
