After a day’s work, Jiang Fei returned home as usual.

For the next few days, Jiang Fei worked according to schedule. He was waiting for the infrastructure of the Life Extension Center to be completed. Once the infrastructure was completed, the equipment would move in. When that time came.., jiang Fei could start to get what he wanted.

Two days passed in the blink of an eye. At noon on the third day, Jiang Fei finished his administrative work and called Anita in.

“Boss, are you looking for me?”Anita asked after she came in.

“How’s the progress of the Life Extension Center Project?”Jiang Fei asked.

“I’m sorry, Boss. I haven’t paid attention to it recently. I’ll help you check it now,”Anita said.

“No need. Call that guy from the engineering department over here,”said Jiang Fei.

“Okay!”Anita nodded and turned around to leave.

Not long after, Anita brought the small official back to Jiang Fei.

“Sir, you’re looking for me…”when the small official saw Jiang Fei, he could not help but start to tremble. He regretted not resigning immediately after he went back.

“Yes!”Jiang Fei nodded and asked, “How far is the progress of the Life Extension Center Project?”

“Master, the progress of the project is still… still okay…”the officer stammered.

“Nonsense! What do you mean ‘still okay’? I’m asking you, how far are you?”Jiang Fei slammed the table and said.

“Uh… this…”the officer immediately broke out in cold sweat. His legs were trembling even more violently.

“If I tell you to say it, just say it! Do you not know what I used to do?”Jiang Fei asked coldly.

“Yes! Yes! Sir, I will say it!”The officer was terrified.

“…”Jiang Fei did not say anything. However, his eyes were fixed on the officer. He felt as if he was sitting on pins and needles.

“Sir, the progress of the project has been suspended…”the officer said nervously.

“What? ! Say That Again!”Jiang Fei’s eyebrows immediately stood up.

“Sir… sir… the progress of the project… has been suspended…”Jiang Fei’s anger made the officer even more afraid.

“Why? !”Jiang Fei asked sternly.

“There’s… There’s no money…”the officer did not even dare to look at Jiang Fei.

“What about the budget?”Jiang Fei asked.

“After many layers of exploitation, the budget was not enough to begin with. Everyone has been living beyond their means. However, after you lost your temper last time, the next batch of funds has not been allocated. This has caused the project to be unable to proceed…”the official said.

“Did I not warn you last time?”Jiang Fei asked coldly.

“Sir… Sir, I have already returned all the embezzled funds. However, I have little power. There are not many that can reach my hands… although I have relayed your words to the others, I really can’t control what they do…”the official was on the verge of tears.

“Alright! I understand!”Jiang Fei nodded. These corrupt officials would not shed tears until they saw the coffin. Until the last step, they would not be willing to spit out the fat meat that was in their mouths.

“My Lord… Then I…”The official looked at Jiang Fei with fear.

“You can hand in a resignation letter,”Jiang Fei said.

“Thank you, my Lord! Thank you, my Lord!”The official almost knelt down to Jiang Fei. Although Jiang Fei had asked him to resign, it was already the best choice for him. Although he had lost his job, he had at least saved his head.

“Alright, you can leave now. Once you have written your resignation letter, give it to Anita. I will personally approve it,”Jiang Fei said to the official.

“Thank you, my Lord! Thank you, my Lord!”The official thanked Jiang Fei profusely before he turned around and left. He was in a hurry to write his resignation letter. As he did not know when the storm would arrive, it was naturally best for him to leave as soon as possible.

“Boss, about the engineering department…”after the official left, Anita looked at Jiang Fei.

“Sigh!”! The engineering department was filled with lucrative jobs. The officials inside dared to be so brazenly corrupt. Moreover, after I warned them, they did not know how to restrain themselves. That meant that they had someone backing them up and were able to withstand my pressure. This person most likely had something to do with the Archon. Therefore, I have to go and talk to the Archon,”Jiang Fei said.

“Yes, boss. I also suggest that you do the same. Do not recklessly punish them just because you are happy. Many of these people have connections with the Archon.”Anita had been with the Archon for many years, therefore, she knew more about the bureaucracy than Jiang Fei.

“I know. Go and talk to the magistrate this afternoon. You can leave work early after you are done with your own matters.”Jiang Fei nodded.

“Thank you, Boss!”Anita said happily. She was only a subordinate. She did not want to get involved in the struggles between the bureaucrats. Therefore, she left work early to go on a date with her boyfriend, this was more attractive to her than the bureaucratic intrigue.

After a simple lunch, Jiang Fei drove straight to the magistrate’s mansion. Ever since Jiang Fei was in charge of the administration, the magistrate rarely went to the city hall. He usually stayed at home to strategize.

“Master Ralph, are you looking for the magistrate?”Jiang Fei met one of his administrative secretaries in the magistrate’s mansion.

“Yes!”Jiang Fei nodded.

“That’s unfortunate. The consul has gone to the country house to play golf,”the administrative secretary said to Jiang Fei with a smile.

“Alright! Thank you. I’ll go over there to look for him.”Jiang Fei nodded. He knew that the consul had a hobby of playing golf.

After leaving the Consul’s mansion, Jiang Fei did not delay any further. He drove straight to the outskirts. After about an hour, he arrived at the Consul’s country house.

“Is the magistrate around?”Jiang Fei asked from the gatehouse.

“Yes, the magistrate is playing ball at the back,”one of the servants replied.

“HMM, go and inform him that I want to see him,”Jiang Fei said.

“Please Wait a moment, Sir Ralph!”The servant turned around and went in.

After a moment, the servant ran back and said to Jiang Fei, “Sir Ralph, the magistrate would like to see you.”

“Okay!”Jiang Fei nodded and followed the servant to the back of the court.

Soon, Jiang Fei saw the magistrate on the court.

“Sir!”Jiang Fei went forward and greeted him.

“Come! Play two rounds with me!”The magistrate said.

“Okay!”Jiang Fei did not refuse. He had only tried golf a few times before. However, with his control of strength, accurate perception and calculation ability, this kind of sport was nothing to him, it was not a big deal at all.

“Pa! PA! Pa!”After a few small shots, Jiang Fei began to exert his strength. He no longer showed mercy to the consul because he wanted to end the entertainment segment as soon as possible. After all, he was here to talk business with the consul.
