“I so glad to hear that! Let us leave this instant!” said the Saint. With the Royal Decree in hand, no Demon forces could stop Jiang Fei and the Saint from leaving!

“I’ll open the door now,” said Jiang Fei. This time, Jiang Fei was smart enough to hide Isabella in the pet slot. She was the Princess of the Royal Nephilim after all. If she was by his side, the Saint might have a second thought.

As the two were leaving the hall, Ivan came about and stopped the Saint,” Your Highness, where do you think you’re going?”

“Lord Commander, I have the Nephilim King’s Royal Decree here. I need to take him to see the King!” said Jiang Fei as he took out the decree and showed it to Ivan. Ivan took the paper and read it. There was no way he would not trust Jiang Fei as the Royal Decree was given to Jiang Fei by the King himself!

“Alright then, have a safe trip!” said Ivan as he left the two alone without a single shred of doubt.

Once they were both out of the Commander’s Hall, Jiang Fei summoned the Juvenile Skygliding Dragon and helped the Saint to ride on it.

“Sit tight, if this is your first time riding a dragon, it might get a little breezy up in the sky,” said Jiang Fei as he took off.

One hour later, Jiang Fei and the Saint arrived at the Front Line Camp of the Shadow Faction. The border to the other side was only a few tens of kilometers away and Jiang Fei should be able to enter the territory of the Light Faction in less than a minute.

As they flew across the battlefield, Jiang Fei took notice of the situation. There were thousands of Knights from both Factions fighting against each other. Both sides were evenly matched and as a result, both sides sustained heavy casualties. Even players themselves had to retreat.

Half a day had already passed since the start of the game and many of the pub players understood that they were severely underperforming in the fight. Knowing their drawbacks, they retreated from the battlefield to obediently find a safe place to grind their level.

One minute later, Jiang Fei had successfully brought the Saint of the Light into the Light Faction territory.

“Thank you so much for helping me! I’d never thought that we could safely escape!” cried the Saint as she hugged Jiang Fei from behind.

“Ding! Quest completed! You have obtained 50,000,000 Experience Points, 3,000 Gold Coins, Gemstone: Mountain of the Light!”

“Ding! Congratulations player Verdure Glider for reaching Level 70. All Attributes +1. Obtained 5 Attribute Points!”

“Ding! Congratulations player Verdure Glider for reaching Level 70! The third Title Challenge Quest has begun!”

“Ding! You have obtained 5,000 Reputation Points from the Saint of the Light! Current Reputation Level of the Saint of the Light is Infatuated!”

“Curse you, mortal! You dare to court my woman! I will have your life!”

After a chain of notifications popped up one after another, a sudden roar could be heard from the heavens. No matter where players where, even in the Beginner’s Village, everyone could hear that raging roar coming from the sky.

“Ding! You have angered the Divine Light God for corrupting the Saint of the Light!”

“Ding! The Divine Light God has issued an order! All Light Faction NPCs will have the maximum level of Enmity towards you! If you are in the Light Faction territory, NPC will target you first!”

“Ding! The Divine Light God has issued a Kill Order for your head! All players from the Light Faction and the Neutral Faction will automatically receive a quest to kill you for a handsome reward of Experience Points and Equipment!”

“Ding! You have been marked by the Divine Light God! Whenever you are in the Light Faction territory, your location will be broadcast to all Light Faction players every 5 minutes by the Church’s Judiciary!”

“Oh my… That sounded like trouble,” said Jiang Fei.

Jiang Fei had never thought that he could incur the wrath of the gods just by having the Saint of the Light falling in love with him. As a matter of fact, he had a Kill Order on his head! Right now, Jiang Fei was aimed by all players of both the Light and the Neutral Faction! He was the treasure trove! Killing him was even better than having to fight a boss since there would be NPCs to assist the player!”

“Ding! The most wanted man in the Light Faction has been found in XXX, XXX. All players of the Light Faction are advised to find him and execute the man!”

In no time at all, the first broadcast of Jiang Fei’s location was revealed to all the players in the Light Faction.

“Oh sh*t! I need to bail!” cried Jiang Fei as he quickly turned the Dragon around. Even though he was not too worried about players killing him since the chances of anyone in the world having one of the Nine Cauldrons was extremely slim. There was practically no threat to his life then. However, he could not ignore the fact that the NPCs from the Church Judiciary will appear to hunt him. To think that Sylphy was just a lowly member of the Church’s Judiciary proves that there would be more powerful NPCs appearing to kill him. If they were to send a small scrap, they would be roughly at the same level as Sylphy or even stronger! There was no way he could fend them off!

“Brother, where are we going?” said the Saint. After reaching Infatuated, the voice and tone of the Saint had changed immensely. Before, she was dignified and proud. Now, like Sylphy, she was lovestruck and her tone was sweet and soft. Even the way she addressed Jiang Fei had changed!

“I have no idea. Running away is the main priority!” said Jiang Fei as he zoomed across the sky to escape back into the Shadow Faction’s territory. There was a gate to the Abyss there in the Front Line Camp. If any high tier bosses from the Light Faction appear, there would be someone there to stop them.

As soon as Jiang Fei left, several pillars of light came down from the heavens. After the light dissipates, several NPCs came out. It was the same traveling ability that Sylphy used.

“He had escaped.”

“Shall we pursue?”

“No.”

“We mustn’t bring this personal matter into the Shadow Faction.”

“I concur.”

“We shall return.”

All the Church Judiciary NPCs discussed amongst themselves and quickly returned to their own territory. After they were gone, many players had swarmed the place, hoping to find Jiang Fei there since the system had publicly announced his position. Even though they had the numbers, they were all too slow to even see the trail of clouds Jiang Fei left when he flew back to the Shadow Faction.

Even though he was in the Front Line Camp of the Shadow Faction, he was still anxious about his current predicament. Hence, he quickly used the Abyssal Door and went to the 10th Floor of the Abyss. Only then, he could breathe normally.

“Bella, did you know that the god will come for me!?” Jiang Fei roared to Isabella after he had called her out from the pet slot.

“Ack! You found out! Ehehehe!” Isabella squeaked and blew raspberries at Jiang Fei. She then turned to the Saint and smiled.

“Even though you are the Saint of the Light, you are the last one to arrive! So, you must address me as your elder sister!”

“Alright! Sister Bella! However, I am no longer accepted by the Light. Please do not call me a Saint. My real name is Nina!” said the ex-Saint of the Light. Immediately after she had introduced her name as Nina, her name tag changed as well.

“Ding! The Saint of the Light had chosen to betray her faith to the Light and chose to follow the Nephilim race, player Verdure Glider! Due to the betrayal of her faith, all Light Faction members suffered from a great loss! All NPCs Celestial tier and below and players alike will suffer from a 5% reduction of all attribute! This effect lasts for 7 days!”

Out of a sudden, millions of players cried out in anger and was suddenly silenced. When the notification popped out, all players from the Light Faction raged on! They quickly checked their status and found out that they had indeed been weakened by 5%. In a fit of rage, everyone cursed Jiang Fei and wanted revenge for whatever crockery that he had done!
