The Almighty Ring

“Sigh! I’m already Level 59, but I still can’t clear this Dungeon in one breath!” Jiang Fei sighed, then activated Demon Morph.

The duration of his Lifesteal Demon form was almost over and it was impossible for him to kill the boss that still had 50% Health Points left in just five seconds. So, Jiang Fei had no other way.

Fortunately, Heroic mode Dungeons reset once a week. So, even if he could not clear the Dungeon today, he could continue tomorrow without delaying his progress.

A purple thunder struck Jiang Fei. His skin instantly turned purple-red. A pair of horns protruded on the top of his head and the Blazing Hammer in his hand became a giant scythe. At a glance, Jiang Fei’s Nephilim form looked similar to this boss. They both had horns on their heads and their bodies glowed with energy.

“Kill!” After Jiang Fei transformed into his demon form, his Attack Power had doubled. Moreover, his attacks completely ignored the boss’s Defense and everything else like Avoidability, Parry, and Block. He also completely ignored the boss’s Defense reduction.

As soon as Jiang Fei transformed, the boss was in trouble. In his demon form, Jiang Fei’s Attack Power soared. When this was paired with Isabella’s high damage output, the boss was killed in less than twenty seconds.

“Ding! You have eliminated Galdan the Trickster! Obtained 2,200,000 Experience Points. Obtained 1,000 gold coins!”

As the boss was Level 50, it was not more than ten levels lower than Jiang Fei. So, Jiang Fei could get Experience and gold coins as rewards.

“Sigh! If I knew this would happen, I would’ve just used Demon Morph at the start!” Jiang Fei sighed, then canceled the transformation.

“Let’s go see if anything good was dropped!” Isabella urged him.

“Okay!” At this time, Jiang Fei was also very curious as to what the bosses in this Heroic mode Dungeon would drop.

Swoosh! Red light illuminated, indicating that the boss had dropped an Ancient Inheritance item.

Trickster’s Gem (Toy, Ancient Inheritance)

Use: Records the physical characteristics of a player or NPC and use it again to copy the target’s appearance and voice onto yourself.

Note: If you copy a player, you will appear in that player’s Enemy List. If you copy a player in the main city and get exposed on the spot, you will be deemed to have attacked the player and NPC Guards will punish you.

“Interesting!” Jiang Fei was happy when he saw this item. His first thought was that he could use this item to frame others. It was perfect for such a purpose.

Other than the Trickster’s Gem, the boss also dropped a Level 50 Legendary ring.

Abyssal Node (Ring, Legendary)

Physical Attack +475

Strength: +40

Vitality: +40

Avoidability: +5%

Equipment: Allows you to acquire the skill—Gate of Abyss. Summons a Gate of Abyss with 10,000 Health Points. While open, the Gate of Abyss will summon three Elite guards of your Level every three seconds to fight for you. The Gate of Abyss lasts for a maximum of one minute. After the Gate of Abyss is destroyed, the Elite guards will last for a maximum of thirty seconds. Skill cooldown time is ten minutes.

Level Requirement: 50

“Not bad!” Jiang Fei immediately replaced the ring that had Claret Aegis attached to it. Although this skill was very useful, the equipment level was too low and Jiang Fei did not lack life-saving skills.

Currently, Jiang Fei had way too many life-saving skills. He had Armored Bulwark which was equivalent to 20% of his Health Points and Silent Step that gave him 100% Avoidability and allowed him to counterattack. He also had Divine Shield which gave him fifteen seconds of invincibility and Shadow Barrier that made him invincible, which could be used three times a day. Moreover, he had the Undying Aegis which was attached to his Blazing Hammer. If he factored in the Health recovery skill Sacred Light as well, then it was really hard for Jiang Fei to die now even if he wanted to.

Other than these two, the boss also dropped another two pieces of Purple equipment. One was Cloth Armor and the other was Plate Armor. However, the Lightbringer’s Armaments that Jiang Fei had equipped was an Equipment Set. He would definitely not break up the Equipment Set just so he could equip a Level 50 equipment.

Jiang Fei kept the two Purple pieces of equipment. He might be able to use them later when the level of the players in his guild increased. After picking up the drops, Jiang Fei turned around and immediately broke out in cold sweat.

The three NPCs that were behind him just moments ago were now gone.

“Holy sh*t! What happened?” There were no other small monsters in the side hall. Also, before this, when the boss died and Jiang Fei looked back at the three NPCs, they were absolutely fine!

“They disappeared so suddenly. How come?” Jiang Fei muttered.

“They were right there just moments ago!” Isabella also found it really strange. It was like these three NPCs evaporated into thin air. They had suddenly disappeared without a trace.

“They’re probably not dead yet! Let’s go and look for them!” Jiang Fei said. He had not received a prompt saying that he had failed the Quest, which meant that these three NPCs were still alive.

Jiang Fei searched backward first. However, after searching all the way until he reached the Dungeon’s entrance, he still did not see the three NPCs.

“This means that they’ve gone in front, let’s clear the way!” Jiang Fei called out to Isabella and began to clear off the monsters in the direction of the main hall.

About twenty minutes later, Jiang Fei and Isabella killed all the monsters on the way to the main hall.

After entering the main hall, Jiang Fei immediately saw the three NPCs! This time, however, the three NPCs looked a little miserable. Someone had tied them onto the pillars in the main hall.

“You three have trespassed into the Temple of Deities and Demons. You have committed a grave sin worthy of punishment. Now, I shall execute the three of you!” Jiang Fei heard this as soon as he walked in.

“F*ck! Hold your horses!” Seeing a man lifting up a huge knife and was about to behead the NPCs, Jiang Fei quickly shouted. At the same time, Jiang Fei used Wild Charge.

“Thump!” Jiang Fei’s attack interrupted the man’s act of beheading.

Emperor Dongyue (Vice) (Human, Leader)

Level: 50

Health Points: 700,000

Attack Power: 8,500

Skills: Mount Tai Slam, Crushing Burden, Smash.

Mount Tai Slam: Summons a rockfall over an area, dealing a lot of damage to players in the area and stunning them.

Crushing Burden: Reduces the Attack Power and Movement Speed of all enemies within thirty meters.

Smash: Immediately deals a powerful blow to the current target.

“F*ck!” Jiang Fei was surprised when he saw this boss. Not because the boss was really strong, but because it was way too weak. This boss was similar to bosses in Normal difficulty Dungeons. Even if this boss was in a Normal difficulty Dungeon, it was not strong enough to be the final boss.

“Dear adventurer! Hurry and save us!”

“We’re so scared…”

The three NPCs that were tied to the pillars kept on shouting.

At this time, however, as Jiang Fei had attacked the boss, the boss battle had already begun. So, he had no time to bother about the three NPCs. He had to get rid of this boss first.

Lifesteal Demon form!

Jiang Fei immediately transformed. As this boss was really weak, it could not resist Jiang Fei’s attacks. In just a short time, the boss was already dying.

“St… Stop… You have been fooled…” This time, the boss’s name suddenly turned yellow and actually started talking.
