89 Seaside Pier
”Argh…” The man with the pistol first looked dumbfounded at Chen Fan before looking down at his own chest. Two seconds later, his legs jellied, and he fell right onto the ground.

It was a rare opportunity not to be missed. Chen Fan would have lived in vain for over twenty years if he didn’t grab it. Amidst the gunshots, Chen Fan quickly used the Luger pistol to kill the man closest to him before jumping up as though he was possessed by Ultraman. His speed was fast enough to cause distress to a sniper aiming at him.

Other than the man who was shot in the chest, everyone else in the courtyard had their attention on Chen Shuguang and did not notice Chen Fan’s action.

Chen Shuguang was already in the bamboo grove. Chen Fan did not want to go in and risk being shot by machine guns. Gritting his teeth, Chen Fan exploded with a speed he had never had before. He did a two-step run-up before jumping to a height that even NBA players couldn’t reach. With both hands supporting, he jumped over the wall in one and a half seconds, leaving behind the ten gunmen in the courtyard, shocked.

Bang! Bang! Before he landed, Chen Fan already heard the sound of bullets hitting the foot of the wall behind him. After landing on both legs and stabilizing himself, Chen Fan was ready to see which direction he should run to. However, just as Chen Fan raised his head, he saw something disturbing. A white jeep was right beside him, and four men holding AK’s could be seen from the opened window. They all had their mouths open and were staring hard at Chen Fan.

Bang! Chen Shuguang jumped down from the wall a few meters away. Pressing onto his shoulder covered in blood, he looked at Chen Fan and then the jeep, and gave a ’you take care’ expression before running off.

The men in the car bawled and quickly took out their AK’s, pointed them at Chen Fan who was the nearest, and then pulled the trigger. But how could they be faster than Chen Fan? Not only was the car small and some effort was needed to turn the AK over, but their reaction time alone was much slower than Chen Fan.

Faced with this horrifying situation, Chen Fan raised his pistol and shot right at the chest of the man in the backseat. Thereafter, Chen Fan squatted down to avoid the bullet that came at him from the direction of the passenger seat before aiming at the tire and pulled the trigger.

Bang! The white jeep suddenly leaned to one side and visible compressed air gushed out from the tire. Hitting the tire was to prevent them from chasing him with the car. After all, his legs couldn’t possibly be faster than a car. At that moment, the man in the passenger seat popped his head out, holding an AK and shot madly at Chen Fan who retreated behind the car.

Dah dah dah! Just as Chen Fan reached the back of the car, metal bullets, 7.63 millimeter in diameter sprung out from the barrel, making marks on the concrete floor and then flew off with the huge momentum.

”Get rid of him, get out of the car and get rid of him now!” The man in the back seat roared as he pounded on the inside of the car. What was Chen Fan’s immediate reaction when he was about to be killed by three madmen with AK’s? Run!

If you’re being chased by someone with a rapid-fire weapon and you’re not confident enough to fight back, you have to remember not to turn back when you’re running away. Also, don’t ever run in a straight line. Otherwise, the enemy will be able to aim at you easily.

Gunmen who have not been through rigorous training will take around two to two and a half seconds to aim at a fast moving object, pull the trigger, and hit the target with the bullet. This amount of time is enough for you to perform one or two evasive tactics. So, you only have to keep this in mind when running toward your shelter...jump left, jump left, roll right, jump left, roll left. These golden rules of evasion can definitely sustain you for more than ten seconds. Of course, if the other party has superb marksmanship, you can only pray for good luck!

While sprinting toward the houses ahead, Chen Fan recalled the evasive tactics Wang Bing taught him as he cursed the people of Sittwe for land wastage. The distance between each building was very far.

Nonetheless, the three men who were chasing Chen Fan were so shocked that their eyes almost popped out. The man who was moving at high speed ahead was like a kite flying madly without a string. He rolled a few meters on the ground before quickly jumping up. After a few disorderly leaps and bounds, he threw himself forward again in the shape of a ball.

The evasion tactics without any trajectory of motion made their optical and motor nerves lose their ability to lock the target. They could only passively use the bullets to follow his moving footsteps. The screeching sound of the bullets tearing the air was like a sharp knife cutting Chen Fan’s nerves one after another.

The feeling of dancing with the god of death was beyond words. Chen Fan could almost hear the cells in his entire body shouting madly. ”You’re dying! You’re dying!”

Bang! After more than ten seconds of sprinting, Chen Fan’s back finally came into contact with the corner of the wall. Chen Fan panted heavily, as if he were on the thin-aired Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

After catching his breath, Chen Fan quickly laid down on his stomach, popped his head out like a woodpecker to observe the surroundings before leaning his gun-held right hand on the wall and pulled the trigger at the running men.

Bang bang! He fired three continuous shots, but it was a pity that no one screamed.

What now? Chen Fan was worried. Those men would reach him in another seven or eight seconds. He was a stranger to this place and did not know where he could hide.

After giving the surrounding a quick scan, Chen Fan saw a pier not far away and decided to run toward the direction of the pier. The pier looked very ordinary. It was a small pier about thirty meters long used by fishing boats for loading and unloading. Although there were countless numbers of piers in coastal areas, Chen Fan felt like giving heaven a hug and a kiss, because this pier looked simply magnificent to him!

Feeling the hurried footsteps becoming closer, Chen Fan braced himself, with his right-hand leaning onto the wall and not using his eyes to observe, he fired all the bullets at one go using the remaining image in his brain to estimate.

It seemed like heaven treated Chen Fan better this time around. Just as he finished firing the ten bullets, Chen Fan heard an awful scream from one of the gunmen. Although he did not know which area the gun hit, Chen Fan could tell from the dreadful scream that it was definitely not an insignificant area such as the arm or the thigh. This also meant that his level of danger had decreased by one-third accordingly!

Dah dah dah! One of the remaining two gunmen shot continuously at Chen Fan’s arm right after it stuck out from the corner of the wall. After changing into a cartridge which could hold thirty bullets, the other gunman fired madly at the corner of the wall with bloodshot eyes. The hard cement wall was like tofu, having more than ten fist-size holes made in it easily.

Fifty meters. He was fifty meters from the gunmen, but more than one hundred and fifty meters from the seaside pier. Although there were a few temporary shelters in between, he would still need twenty-five seconds to reach the pier with a series of evasion tactics. This was not just testing Chen Fan’s physical fitness and the quality of his training, but more of his luck.

During the ten or more seconds of sprinting just now, Chen Fan had a few bullets almost hit his body. Although he had shot one man, Chen Fan did not think that he had a very good chance of getting to the pier.

Feeling the faint trembling coming from the wall, Chen Fan grit his teeth and jumped out, turning and rolling toward the direction of the pier. Due to the line of sight at the corner of the wall, Chen Fan ran with all his might for more than thirty meters before two men, fifty meters away from behind the corner, discovered him.

The precision of the AK-47 was extremely poor in the first place, especially when firing from a distance away. If the trigger was being pulled non-stop, the huge elevation force at the muzzle might even send the bullet into the sky before dropping down and killing them.

The two gunmen stood where they were, aiming and firing their AK’s at Chen Fan. However, the frustrating thing was that Chen Fan was really too fast and too flexible. They were unable to coordinate their retinal nerves and brain activities to capture his motion trail. They could only keep shifting their muzzles following Chen Fan’s rhythm, but how could a gunman who had lost his own tempo and following the footsteps of another person hit his opponent?

Needless to say, this was also because they had not trained well. If it had been Wang Bing, he would be able to hit Chen Fan in one-eighth of a second even if he grew wings and flew up the sky, let alone just jumping and running.

Seeing Chen Fan running further away, one of the gunmen shouted out with bloodshot eyes before pulling his trigger non-stop. The remaining twenty or more bullets in the cartridge were fired by him in one go. Regretfully, his barrel almost pointed at his own forehead after he finished firing!

Ten meters, ten more meters! After running wildly for more than twenty seconds, Chen Fan could finally see the blue seawater at the side of the pier and also the two fishing boats moored on the water.

”Ah!” A woman in her forties on the fishing boat popped her head out and screamed hysterically as she looked at Chen Fan who was covered in dirt, and at the two men shooting madly with their AK’s a distance away.

Bang! A bullet smashed onto the hatch, cutting off her scream. Thump! Just as she retracted her head, she saw the man jump into the water like a cannonball from the two-meter tall pier.

Once Chen Fan got into the water, he quickly went from underneath the boat to the other side, popped out his head and breathed heavily. There was still around thirty seconds before the other party could reach the pier. This fishing boat was around twenty meters long and did not have a springboard set up toward the pier. If the other party wanted to find a shooting point, they had to run up fifty meters either to the left or to the right.

With this thought, Chen Fan immediately shifted his thoughts onto the electric eel which was more than 1,000 meters away. Together with the submarine, it rushed toward the pier, swimming at its maximum speed.

If someone had been around looking out at the sea, he would definitely witness something eye-popping! A long ripple suddenly appeared in the originally calm seawater, extending outward at thirty meters per second.
