Samsara Tower: Only I Know the Plot!

Chapter 425: Chapter 426: Hit and Hit, Who’s Afraid of Whom?

Cien Harbor.

In the house beside the lighthouse, Sea King Arthur’s family of three finally reunited.

After twenty years apart, their joy was unmistakable—though beneath Arthur’s happiness lingered a faint confusion.

”Mom, where have you been all these years? The last news I heard was that you had—”

Atlanna gazed at her son fondly and cut him off with a gentle smile.

”I was punished by the King of Atlantis and exiled to the seas of the Trench Clan. Later, by chance, I discovered a door to another world. I hid inside... but that door only allowed entry, not exit. I was trapped there until now.”

Arthur’s brows furrowed. ”Then how did you escape?”

”A young man who claimed to be the Sea God rescued me.”

”Poseidon?” Arthur’s eyes sharpened. ”Was he a black-haired man? Someone who looked like he came from the East?”

”You’ve met him?” Atlanna asked, momentarily stunned.

”Yes.”

Arthur quickly recounted his encounter with Fenric during the battle with the Steppenwolf beneath the sea.

”An alien?” Atlanna was shocked.

Arthur nodded solemnly. ”That alien was powerful... but that man was even stronger.”

Atlanna warned him in a low tone.

”Arthur, if you meet him again, be sure to show respect. Even if he isn’t the Sea God, I fear his strength surpasses that of any god. He not only wields the trident but has also tamed the legendary sea monster, Karathen.”

Arthur gave a small sigh. ”All the same, if he saved you, I owe him my thanks.”

Just then, heavy knocks echoed at the door.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The three inside exchanged startled looks.

”I’ll get it,” Tom Curry said quickly, striding over to open the door.

Standing outside was a young man with black hair and dark eyes—Fenric.

”Excuse me,” he said calmly. ”I’m looking for Arthur.”

Arthur’s footsteps approached, and when he saw who it was, his eyes widened.

”It’s you!”

”Did I interrupt your reunion?” Fenric asked with a faint smile.

Tom Curry immediately realized this must be the man who had saved his wife. His tone grew warm.

”Please, come in!”

After all, no matter who he was, this man had done the Curry family a great kindness.

Fenric nodded and stepped inside.

Compared to Tom’s enthusiasm, Atlanna and Arthur’s expressions were more guarded. They weren’t fools—Fenric’s sudden visit likely meant trouble.

”Would you like a drink?” Tom offered eagerly.

”Anything will do.”

”In that case, whiskey! I’ve got a fine bottle stashed away.” Tom hurried off to fetch it.

Arthur turned to Fenric. ”Thank you... for saving my mother.”

Fenric smiled lightly. ”If you want to thank me, promise me one thing.”

Arthur frowned. ”And what’s that?”

”Go to Atlantis—and reclaim your throne.”

Arthur’s face hardened. ”Sorry, but Atlantis has nothing to do with me anymore. That throne isn’t mine.”

”That’s not for you to decide,” Fenric said with an unshakable grin. ”If I say the throne is yours, then it’s yours.”

Arthur bristled at the arrogance. His pride rejected it outright.

”Then I’ll have to refuse.”

Atlanna tensed, anxiety flickering in her eyes. She knew full well the man before them was no ordinary being.

But Fenric simply gestured to Arthur with a calm smile.

”Arthur, let’s talk outside. Just the two of us.”

Arthur snorted. ”Fine. Hit and hit—who’s afraid of whom?”

—--

Ten minutes later, the sea outside had settled once more.

Arthur staggered, clutching his bruised head and favoring his arm, his expression tinged with fear as he looked at Fenric.

Only now did he understand why that powerful alien had chosen to flee after a single punch from this man—abandoning his target without hesitation.

The man’s fists were unbearable.

”Well, Arthur,” Fenric said evenly, ”how do you feel about taking back the throne of Atlantis now?”

Arthur let out a bitter laugh.

”Brother, even if I agreed... do you think the Atlanteans would ever accept a half-blood bastard like me as their king?”

”No.”

”Do you think Orm, my half-brother, will give up the throne?”

”No.”

”Exactly. That’s the problem. I can’t take the throne. I’m not qualified.”

Fenric’s tone was calm but unwavering.

”Alone, you can’t. But with me here, none of that matters. As for qualifications—if I say you have them, then you have them.”

Arthur grimaced. ”And if it fails?”

”It won’t,” Fenric said flatly.

Arthur shook his head. ”Atlantis doesn’t want me. If you force me onto the throne, it’ll only lead to bloodshed. That’s not what I want.”

Fenric clapped him on the shoulder. ”Good. That tolerance—that concern for your people—that’s the heart of a king.”

Arthur realized then that Fenric’s mind was set. Resistance was useless—he couldn’t win against him. For his family’s safety, he had no choice but to comply.

Still, he asked the one question burning in his heart.

”I have to know—why are you doing this? What’s your purpose?”

Fenric’s smile widened.

”It’s simple. Once you’re king, you’ll declare that all Atlanteans recognize me as the Sea God.”

That was his goal.

Fenric sought to become the supreme existence in the Seven Seas.

If he could command the loyalty of the entire ocean, the vast might of its people would become his power.

And with such a force behind him, he was certain the system would grant him a super-god evaluation.
