Help all mankind

Chapter 57
Liang Shicheng sent an expression package, but then Professor Frank didn’t reply. Maybe he just sent a message in the process of deserting, or he was carefully sorting out the data at this time.

Professor Frank is also responsible for cleaning the school on weekdays. Therefore, a tacit understanding has been formed between them. They communicate content by sending text messages without replying in time.

So Liang Shicheng paid attention to the current test.

There are some cars on the way from time to time, but in the face of them, the wooden box is more likely to appear indifferent. Unless it is very close to the car in front and is close enough to hear the driver in front swearing, the wooden box will be alert.

This shows that the box is really only sensitive to trucks and can’t detect the danger caused by cars.

If not, Liang Shicheng really doubts that if he gives ridorf a bigger box, he can develop another driverless system alone.

After the daytime test, the performance of the box is very good and the reliability is very high.

At this time, a hanging heart finally came down.

However, the team did not intend to end like this until it became dark and continued to test the small box at night, but the results were very unsatisfactory. It could not accurately identify the large truck at night.

This disappointed the expensive ghost in the car, but satisfied Liang Shicheng.

However, as far as the current performance is concerned, it is enough to convince people. After all, it is only a very simple device. As long as we understand its working principle and develop along this idea, we can solve the problem of night.

After more than half a day of testing, the experimental vehicle drove back to the research base around 8 p.m. for the technical team, it will be off work in less than three hours.

They began to study another small box carefully. This time, they stared at the simple circuit board inside. Everyone’s faces were both admiring and wondering.

Next, the only problem before them was to understand how the small box worked, but the closer you look at the structure inside, the more you feel unimaginable.

The technicians of the team have learned a lot, but this does not mean that they are flexible in thinking.

It’s like encountering a geometry problem in a middle school. The method of establishing a coordinate system has complex steps and a large amount of calculation.

However, an auxiliary line can make the problem clear in an instant, and the problem-solving steps are simpler, but the cost of simplifying the problem is that the problem solver needs a smarter head.

The simpler things are, sometimes the more complex they are.

In other words, if you want to complete a difficult problem in a simple and ingenious way, you must find a smart idea and need IQ more.

An hour later, this group of hardware experts simply did not understand how the device composed of less than 100 parts worked and how to copy it.

Finally, Liang Shicheng had to disturb Professor Frank again. They had time difference and could not contact each other at any time.

Liang Shicheng didn’t expect Frank to reply to this question immediately, so like writing an email, he wrote everything clearly at one time before clicking the send button.

But today, after hearing that ridorf gave a solution to the problem in less than a day, Professor Frank seemed to pay special attention to this matter, wait in front of the computer and reply to the information in time.

[sorry for the late reply. I thought of such a wonderful method after reading the structure of the box]

[you know what? Different animals see different pictures of the world.

Almost only we humans and monkeys can see the colorful world, but we need to pay a huge price

Professor Frank’s reply this time is still full of his style. He first talked about a topic that seems irrelevant, but in fact, this is because some professional knowledge must be used to explain this problem. He is testing Liang Shicheng’s mastery of this piece, so as to teach students according to their aptitude.

Frank is a storyteller and integrates knowledge into stories.

Liang Shicheng thought a little and answered along the direction of his knowledge.

[amount of information! The amount of color video information is greater than that of black-and-white video. Since we have evolved the ability to see the color world, we need to deal with it

More information increases the burden on the brain.]

Frank gave a thumbs up and added,

[so what should we do to solve this problem? We should know that although the human brain has powerful computing power, the reason why human beings rise among animals depends on language ability, gossip and strong reflection ability.

In other words, we can’t put all the evolutionary points into the visual system because the brain is powerful.

In short, our human visual system is still defective, compared with other organisms.

In order not to let our colorful and prosperous world occupy the attention of the whole brain, the human visual system has a function similar to PS.

Combined with the knowledge I told you before, add a little more.

All the pictures we see are not only simplified in content, but also a lot of other information is omitted.

In the end, what we see is a false world, which is false from many angles.]

Then Professor Frank sent another picture, which roughly simulated the way cats saw the forest at night. Although it was black and white, it was very clear.

Evolution doesn’t always make creatures move in a stronger direction, otherwise lions should evolve a machine gun.

The evolution of organisms is restricted by some laws. Generally speaking, the growth of our evolutionary points is limited.

The so-called evolution mostly adjusts the distribution of evolution points according to the current environment.

Genes are like drawings for designing organisms. All our structures are drawn on the drawings, but the size of the drawings is limited.

Only when there is an unexpected change in DNA, resulting in an increase in the number of genes, can we increase our evolutionary points, that is, enlarge the drawing.

But what I want to tell you is that recent research is very pessimistic. The number of human genes is only tens of thousands, which is not much. There is little difference between us and other animals in evolutionary points.

It’s also normal. After all, we parted ways with orangutans, which was not long ago

Then Professor Frank was silent,

[now the problem before the return!

In short, human evolution points are limited. If you want to get one ability, you must lose another ability.

In order to see the color world, what function does our visual system lose? That is the resolution of brightness

After hearing this, Liang Shicheng suddenly realized, patted his head, immediately turned around and reminded his colleagues to purchase a set of HDR camera system.
