Help all mankind

Chapter 31
There are some differences in the process of prize exchange. After clicking the icon of universal editor at home, it was not transmitted, but an electronic map appeared in front of me.

Following the map, I went to a corner where I found something like a USB flash disk wrapped in a transparent square box.

Liang Shicheng stretched out his hand to pick them up together, and the transparent packaging quickly broke to pieces.

First, I picked up the USB flash disk and wiped the dust off it. Then I found a small bag to load other powder together.

In less than two hours, I got the so-called universal editor and went home to study it.

First of all, it is indeed a USB flash disk. It shows that it has a capacity of 2T on the computer and supports USB3.0.

Checked with mass production software, the function is normal, and the saved movies can be taken out and played normally. Obviously, its function should not be these.

Then I began to study its appearance. There was a physical key. I didn’t dare to press it before I didn’t know the function.

Finally, a key position was found. There was a sliding cover that could be opened. After opening, a lens and a viewfinder similar to an old camera appeared.

Liang Shicheng immediately guessed that the function of the physical button was the shutter for taking pictures, so he pressed it boldly, and only heard a click, which roughly confirmed his judgment.

Then he inserted the USB flash disk into the computer without adding photos, which denied the idea that the function of the USB flash disk was to take photos.

Then Liang Shicheng closed his eyes and entered the system interface, hoping to find some clues, but he didn’t find an introduction to the functions of the USB flash disk, but found such a paragraph in the science and technology tree.

The current status can only be read and cannot be edited.

Maybe you need to shoot certain items? So Liang Shicheng took pictures of various items at home. Every time he took pictures, he went back to the computer to check it. There has been no change.

Until the cat was inadvertently photographed, the cat also noticed him, took elegant cat steps and walked towards him.

This time, after inserting the USB flash disk into the computer again, a TXT document with a size of tens of KB appeared.

After opening the document, Liang Shicheng found a lot of neat programs. He immediately guessed that TXT documents would be generated only when creatures were photographed,

In other words, the so-called universal editor is used to edit genes. The content of genes can be read and transformed into TXT documents that programmers can understand.

But when I think about it, I think there is a problem. The gene of a cat should not be described by tens of KB of data.

Then he looked at the contents of the document carefully. As an experienced and experienced programmer and more accurately a software engineer, he couldn’t understand the logic for a time.

First of all, the operation of a program requires the corresponding library file. After copying and pasting the program directly on the computer, it can not be run directly by changing it to bat format.

However, Liang Shicheng, who is engaged in UAV development, can easily guess that this document is used to command the operation of some machines and equipment.

After that, he began to analyze the small document. The process seemed like he couldn’t figure out the meaning of some words and did the reading comprehension of the English test. It took him an afternoon.

Liang Shicheng basically understood the contents of the document. These are documents describing how to control the body when the cat walks.

He concluded that the current function of the USB flash disk, called the universal editor, is to take pictures of the creature doing something, and then the program executed by the creature when doing this action will be generated in the USB flash disk.

In order to test this idea, the next day he photographed many animals, including people.

First of all, the universal editor can’t capture the thinking of people and animals, but if a person or animal is doing something that they don’t need to think instinctively, their cerebellum will execute a series of programs, and the universal editor can capture this program.

Thinking of this, Liang Shicheng was overjoyed. Although there was no simulator corresponding to this program, he could not directly see the operation of the programs in these documents.

But for programmers at his level, this is not a problem. As long as he can understand the logic of programming, he can manually convert these programs into various forms for his own use.

Then he boldly took the camera in the shape of a USB flash disk and aimed it at the electric pole outside the window to take photos. He waited for dozens of minutes. Finally, he saw the scene he had dreamed of. A man was concentrating on his mobile phone and inadvertently bypassed the electric pole. In this instant, Liang Shicheng sincerely pressed the shutter.

So he got a set of program documents about controlling his feet when walking, plus a set of program documents about how to control his body to avoid the electric pole.

These seem very easy, but in fact, it’s not so easy to write a program.

First of all, there are so many joints on people. How to control these joints so that people don’t fall during walking is a difficult problem. Otherwise, the development of walking robot doesn’t have to be so difficult.

Similarly, how to ensure that you don’t fall is also a difficult problem.

This kind of problem always gives people a feeling that it is easy to get used to nature, but it is a problem of great research value for engineers.

What is particularly difficult is how people judge from the residual light of their eyes that they may hit a telegraph pole and when they should give way.

Liang Shicheng, a software engineer, doesn’t know about this problem, because their UAV uses a laser rangefinder to solve this problem.

People do not have laser rangefinder, but they can do this. They can accurately calculate the telegraph pole and their own position only through the 2D graphics of their eyes. In the most accurate time, they avoid with the most correct posture. Behind this, a set of mysterious programs in the brain are playing a role.

Liang Shicheng turned on the computer, read the operation logic of this program, and immediately wrote a guidance report on the improvement of the company’s UAV products. Now he has an idea to optimize products and reduce costs by imitating biology.

At this time, cars roared across the road. He had another idea and photographed the drivers.

Then an idea was born, and it was time to prepare for the field of driverless cars.

PS includes the problem of how people walk and how to avoid obstacles. In fact, it is not simple, so it is not written in the text. I wrote it in the relevant works to introduce it in detail. Expand reading 2. Those who are interested can read it.

In the future, the popular science knowledge in the text should be taken as soon as possible. Except that it is very relevant to the plot, a large section of popular science will be put into the relevant works.

In particular, readers who find it difficult to walk and avoid obstacles and why engineers need to study this problem are highly recommended to take a look.
