Chapter 1237: Part 2: Shocking Reactions (The Perry Family)

The Perry Family:

”Find it!”

”Who did this?”

”Iʼm going to torture him to my heartʼs content,” Callen said with anger. The anger and grief could be felt in his voice.

The current family head, Cooper, looked at everyone before saying, ”I want all of you to go out and figure out the truth.”

Swoosh!

Hearing that, one after another, the wizards left the spot, including Aaron Perry, who couldnʼt afford to waste time. It would be a matter of time before anyone figures out the information.

He was there with Leona Perry and Charon Perry last night, so before anyone could point a finger at him, he decided to go out and find Leona Perry. Only her statement could save him now.

Meanwhile,

Inside the Perry Family Hotel, there was a commotion. The staff didnʼt know where Charon Perry had gone. He was not in his room.

On the other hand, Ms. Leona Perry had gone somewhere as well. She was not in the hotel right now, so the hotel staff were discussing the issue seriously. They wanted to come up with an answer before her return.

Somewhere in Virez City, Leona Perry was exploring the black market. She wanted to know what unknown items had made it into the black market.

If there was anything useful to her bloodline, she would buy it.

Just as she was busy searching for useful items, her communication buzzed continuously. When she checked, she saw it was a call from her father.

Since it was a black market, she couldnʼt talk boldly there. Their family rivals also had eyes and ears present. So she decided to call her father back later.

On the other side of the call, family head Cooper was confused. He wanted to inform his daughter about her cousinʼs death.

Then it didnʼt take much time to find out her whereabouts. Knowing that she was at the black market, he decided to try a few minutes later.

Then his attention turned to the demise of his brotherʼs son. Before they could get the location of Charon Perry from the old man, the old man was dead from the coercion released by him.

Some of the older members were already taking care of the issue inside the family. The alarm had caused panic among the servants and workers, but they didnʼt know the truth.

So some old family members calmed them down by saying it was a false alarm. Only then were some of them able to relax.

But the family members knew it would be a matter of time before the matter was exposed to the outside world.

The Perry Family high-level wizards were going to search every nook and cranny of the city. After leaving the Perry Family estate, they split in different directions, since nobody knew Charon Perryʼs last location.

Each was going to use their contacts first to find out the truth. A few of them were heading in the direction of the True Elements Society.

Only Aaron Perry was heading toward the Perry Family Hotel.

Shortly afterward,

He arrived at the hotel. His arrival surprised the hotel staff, catching them off guard. Aaron Perry was already in a bad mood.

Seeing the hotel staffʼs reactions, he couldnʼt help but ask them in anger, ”Whatʼs going on here?”

”Do you know where he is?”

”Charon Perry!”

His questions made them open their mouths. One of them stepped forward to answer. He was the manager here.

”Elder, young master Charon has been missing since this morning,” he said with a panicked tone.

”Missing?” Aaron blurted out.

”Where is young Miss Leona?” he asked.

”She went out early. We donʼt know her destination,” the manager said.

Aaron thought he would find answers from Leona before coming here since Charon had been missing since the morning. He must have died somewhere else.

”Did he meet someone with ill intentions?” His eyes flickered. He thought this might be the case. There could be a reason why Charon had left the hotel.

He then left the hotel.

...

From MCʼs Perspective:

After getting out of bed, I started my morning routine. After a long time, I had a good sleep. Maybe itʼs because of Charon Perryʼs death.

He had sent a wizard to assassinate me during my sleep. Hereafter, similar things werenʼt going to happen.

About an hour later,

I sat on the sofa and started watching the online news. But there was no news about the Perry Family. Seeing that, I reached for other news outlets.

But there was no such news. My mouth curved into an arc.

”Maybe the Perry Family is not as omnipotent as I had thought,” I muttered to myself.

”They canʼt find his body. In the Gregor Mansion, his corpse was taken care of. I doubt any magic in this world would trace it back to me,” I said to myself.

Then I thought it would be a matter of time before someone came to the True Elements Society. The Bloodline Beast Department was going to be in chaos today.

I shifted my attention to other topics.

A few minutes later,

I went to the shower. The bath lasted for 15 minutes. Then I stepped out, wore my uniform, and began to get ready.

Meanwhile,

A few high-level wizards from the Perry Family entered the campus. It was not easy for anyone to enter the campus without any invitation or permission from the True Elements Societyʼs administration.

The Perry Family high-level wizards insisted it was something urgent, but they didnʼt disclose the news. The front gate guards hesitated.

But this time, the situation was so serious that the guards allowed them to enter. The guards were aware that the Perry Family was part of the Aristocratic Factions.

So they didnʼt want to offend them. They allowed them to enter. The Perry Family wizards immediately contacted other Perry Family students studying in the True Elements Society.

They all came to them within 15 minutes.

The Perry Family high-level wizards didnʼt want the whole True Elements Society to know yet, so they were going to simply inquire about the whereabouts of Charon Perry.
