Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

From MC’s Perspective:

I am currently waiting in the storeroom. I am not sure how long it would take for the elder to arrive. I am confident that with his strength, it will not take long.

But, for some reason, I am not feeling good. Leaving those unnecessary thoughts behind. I continued to wait for him.

Meanwhile,

The crippled old man led the stalker far away from the Capital City. After ensuring that there was no human activity within a hundred miles.

He paused his movements and turned around to face him in mid-air.

A few seconds later, the Wizard appeared, dressed in an overcoat and a pointed hat. When he saw the old man, he came to a stop.

Then he swept his gaze around him, looking for signs of the target. But the old man stood alone. He then examines the space barrier. Seeing that the barrier was intact. He believes that the target is yet to arrive.

But the old man led him here for some reason.

On the other hand, the old man could see through his thoughts. Vincent Carey is waiting for him. So he can not wait any longer.

“You are Cain, correct?”

“The new Magic Lord of the Weapon Palace Academy,” the crippled old man stated.

Swoosh!

He vanishes in the next second.

The Weapon Palace’s Magic Lord was alerted. He raised the dagger hidden beneath his sleeves to confront.

A crippled old man appears in front of him. He raised his hand and touched his shoulder. Cain uses his dagger to block the hand.

Clang!

Cain effectively blocked it before retreating backwards. Before coming here, he learned about Yellow River Academy Magic Lord’s strange magic.

The crippled old man gave a small chuckle before backing away. Cain was puzzled. Then he sensed danger emanating from his own dagger.

Then he noticed an unknown red marking on one of the blades. Seeing this, he threw the dagger away. The black dagger falls from the sky.

When it was one step away from touching the ground.

Bang!

An explosion takes place. The shock wave swept across in all directions, wiping out the green covers and lower-order monsters in its path.

The power of the impact creates a massive pit on the ground. A massive mushroom cloud appears above the impact site.

This all happened in seconds.

Cain’s eyes narrowed as he saw this. He was a newly promoted Magic Lord. So he had underestimated the crippled old man’s intelligence.

Cain’s expression became serious. He cast the magic spell as he looked at the old man.

His mana then surrounds the dagger blade. He grips it tightly before shooting at the crippled old man.

The cold dagger thrusts through the air. The cold dagger cuts across in a straight line. It briefly disappears before reappearing in front of the crippled old man’s eyes.

Crippled old man’s senses were already heightened. He did not underestimate Cain due to his age.

He took a side step to avoid the dagger. The dagger pierces through the empty space. He then uses his movements to strike Cain with his palm again.

Cain was not surprised. He then casts another spell. He vanishes and reappears near the dagger. It is one of the few spells that allows him to move to his weapon’s location instantly.

The crippled old man appeared on the other side. His eyes light up with surprise when he sees Cain. He had not expected Cain to have such a rare spell.

Not all Weapon Palace Wizards are qualified to master this rare spell.

Their confrontation continues over time. At one point, the crippled old man decides to end the fight. He appeared behind Cain’s back and touched it.

A red mark appears on his back. He then returns to his previous position. Cain knew he had f@cked up right then.

Bang!

The power contained within that red mark explodes, causing Cain’s body to fall from the sky. Cain descended like a shooting star.

Fortunately, the power contained in that Red Mark is minimal. It has temporarily prevented him from moving. Cain then carefully drops to the ground with his injured body.

“You are lucky, Cain. I am not in the mood to kill a young magic lord.” After saying that, the crippled old man vanishes from sight.

Cain felt bad when he heard that. He did not expect such a large difference in actual strength. He could not scratch him with his dagger.

Cain then decides to dedicate more time to improving his strength from now on. He does not want to face the Magic Lord again without proper preparation.

Shortly afterwards,

He walks into the blue merchant company’s premises. Then his gaze settles on the numerous storage rooms at the back of the building.

He moves in mid-air before appearing behind the building. Then he used his mental powers to find Vincent Carey.

Swoosh!

He vanishes from the spot and lands in front of the door.

Creak!

He opened the door to walk inside. Then he found that brat standing in front of him.

On the other hand, Elder’s appearance surprised me. The next thing I knew, I felt a massive weight lifted off my shoulders.

“Thank you for coming, Elder,” I said.

“Young man, you have a lot of explaining to do.” The crippled spoke in a serious tone before grabbing his shoulder.

Swoosh!

The next moment, he vanishes from view and begins transporting Vincent Carey back to the academy. After crossing a short distance, he used the space barriers to appear near the academy.

Shortly afterwards,

Cain notified the Weapon Palace Academy. Nobody is aware of this minor fight right now. If the people of the Capital knew about this, they would be completely shocked.

A few minutes later,

I found myself back in the Yellow River Academy. I thought he would take me to the dean tower. Surprisingly, he dropped me before the dorm.

“Sleep well tonight. But I want a full report in the morning,” the crippled old man said before disappearing from the scene.

I nodded at him. After entering the room, I locked the door and looked around. Dust has covered every nook and cranny of the room. It is impossible to do anything right now.

So I went directly to the Gregor Mansion to sleep.

Meanwhile,

The crippled old man went to Sub-Taboo Hall’s Space before informing the dean.

The old man dean breathed in relief before going back to sleep. He will finally get some good sleep today after a long time.

Meanwhile,

The Bloodline Hall’s Magic Lord opened her eyes. She turns to look in the right direction. She discovered that the crippled old man was back.

She could not help but wonder if that brat was back. Then she closes her eyes and decides to see what happens tomorrow.

Not only did she wonder, but so did the other Magic Lords who had sensed the crippled old man’s presence.

But no one is going to act now.

Even the hostile Taboo Hall’s Magic Lord is in seclusion. He does not know what is going on outside.

…

Near the Capital City:

The Peak Wizards from the Weapon Palace Academy rushed to the scene. When they noticed a massive pit on the ground.

They took a cold breath of air.

This pit allows people to create a large man-made lake.

After a few minutes,

They discovered the Magic Lord Cain resting beneath the tree.

“Elder Cain, this is the potion you requested.” A peak wizard said this before handing over the box to the elder.

Cain opened his eyes. His gaze moved across them before settling on the box. He removed the box cover and took out the white potion bottle.

Then he removed the cork and consumed it all at once.

The white warm liquid quickly heals his internal organs. However, it will take some time for him to expel the foreign energy from his body.

After gaining the strength to move, he went to the Weapon Palace Academy with the others. He believes the crippled old man must have escorted Vincent Carey back to the academy.

Because he could not think of any other reason for their brief confrontation.

…

On the other hand, a small wizard group from the Weak Palace Academy is currently undergoing treatment. They were the same wizards who were defeated by an unknown high-level adventurer.

Some of them recovered quickly, including their leader. However, those with weakened constitutions could not help but spend a few more hours.

The leader has already dispatched a few people to investigate the identity of the Adventurer. An adventurer who is also a high-level wizard. Such a person has a strong identity.

He believes as long as that person remains in this country. He will have more chances to get back.

…

At the same time, the dark league wizards are doing their night shift. They didn’t know that the target had already gone back to the academy.

Similarly,

The Royal Force Hall Wizards are also on high alert.

Only Weapon Palace Wizards discovered something wrong before returning to the academy.
