Essence Devouring Art

RUMBLE—

In the firmament, sixteen thousand meters high.

As Wu Dao activated his Divine Heavenless State, he shattered into a million pieces. The fragments manipulated the Magnetic Field, summoning streak after streak of destructive, golden thunder!

It was as if the heavens themselves were enraged!

An apocalyptic aura of judgment and slaughter began to target the Celestial King from all directions.

WHOOOOOSH—

It wasn’t just the golden Celestial Thunder!

A wailing, golden Gang Wind, strong enough to instantly disintegrate a warrior of the Celestial Human Eleventh Floor, also howled through the sky, creating a truly terrifying scene.

The moment the endless, killing aura locked onto him,

the Celestial King’s hair stood on end and his pupils contracted. He was suddenly thrown back seven hundred years, to the chilling terror he’d felt facing the sword of the Demon Suppression Emperor.

When the heavens unleash their killing intent, all creation is subject to its whims of life and death!

The Might of Celestial Thunder, a power derived from the authority of the Celestial Dao itself, has been the ultimate terror for all living beings since time immemorial.

Legends of heavenly punishment by lightning—being smitten from above, the Five Thunders Bombing the Top, the rage of the thunderbolts...

Countless such legends of punishment by Celestial Thunder have been passed down through the ages. No matter how powerful a being, all feel their own insignificance before the fury of the heavens!

The Celestial King simply could not understand.

How on earth did Wu Dao, with the mere cultivation of a Celestial Being, manage to wield the Celestial Thunder Power?

This completely shattered his worldview.

For since ancient times,

both the Azure Sky Thunder and the Earth Evil Miasma were powers belonging to the Heaven and Earth Path.

Extraordinary beings could, at most, forcefully endure their Mighty Power to absorb the Clear Qi and Evil Qi within to refine their Divine Techniques, but they could not control and command them!

But now...

’Was this bastard the reincarnation of the Thunder God or something?’

”Hahaha, come on, my little darlings!”

BOOM—

In the span of a single thought,

Wu Dao’s crazed laughter had just begun when the Celestial Thunder Gang Wind descended like a golden waterfall. Its brilliant radiance carried a terrifying, world-ending Mighty Power that completely drowned the Celestial King.

”You dare underestimate me? Yama Devouring Heaven—devour!”

As the majestic, surging Golden Thunder Gang Wind bore down,

the Celestial King’s roar shattered the heavens. His Essence, Qi, and Spirit surged to their absolute peak. The black light of his Purgatory physique blazed, and endless Yanming Evil Qi spewed forth from his Divine Treasure, transforming him completely into a gaping, black Abyss.

The sight was utterly terrifying.

The Abyss spat out a pitch-black storm, which manifested horrifying images of countless beings bleeding out and falling into the Nether Abyss; it seemed even light was being swallowed.

”ROAR—”

A vast, desolate roar that shook the Abyss rang out.

Behind the Celestial King, a manifested Yanming Nether Kun, as immense as a mountain, opened its great maw. It unleashed a terrifying level of Devouring Power, intending to meet the Golden Thunder Gang Wind head-on!

Divine Technique—

Yama Devouring Heaven!

Seven hundred years ago,

the Celestial King had sensed the Demon Suppression Emperor’s absolute intent to kill him and had made a series of preparations.

That ancient battlefield, the Soul-Nurturing Wilds, was one of his schemes!

Within the Abyss of the Soul-Nurturing Wilds,

the Death and Nether Qi of countless beings had combined with the Earth Evil Qi, nurturing the Yanming Evil Qi, which ranked among the very top of all evil qis!

With this evil qi,

the Celestial King not only broke through the shackles of the Horizontal Refining Seventh Door, but he also shattered his previous Divine Power Seed and re-condensed a new one in his Dantian Divine Treasure—the Divine Power Seed of Yanming Devouring Heaven.

If the current world allowed for it,

this Divine Technique of his would have fully grown from a seed into a Dao Embryo, manifesting a Divine Power Domain. Within that domain, all living things would be crushed and devoured, leaving not a trace of life!

But even without having formed a Dao Embryo,

the Mighty Power of his nascent Yama Devouring Heaven Divine Technique seed was terrifying enough!

CRACKLE—

WHOOOOOSH—

RUMBLE!

As the torrent of golden thunder dragons and explosive gales swept down, carrying enough Mighty Power to obliterate an ordinary Celestial Human Twelfth Floor expert, it was met by an abyssal, devouring force.

It was clearly visible.

The moment all the Golden Thunder Gang Wind neared the giant maw, which resembled a Nether Kun Abyss,

it was pulled into golden ribbons that spun with the black vortex, and the Celestial King swallowed it whole, crushing all its Mighty Power!

”Celestial Essence Magnetic Burst Fist, kill!!”

But before the Celestial King could feel a moment of triumph, a cold, mechanical voice, like that of an Asura Killing God, rang out above his head!

DING DING DING—

The moment the Heart Lake Alarm Bell rang violently!

BUZZ!!

In the Celestial King’s perception,

a small sun, woven from myriad colorful threads, seemed to appear above his head. It carried an incredibly dangerous, destructive aura as it smashed viciously into the great maw of the Nether Kun Abyss.

BOOM—DOOM!!

Again, in the span of a thought,

the sound of a shocking, thunderous explosion erupted from within the great maw of the Nether Kun Abyss.

Myriad colorful lines of the Magnetic Field exploded.

They dyed the entire sky a blurry Chaos Color. The released Energy repelled and pulverized the surrounding Gang Wind and Celestial Thunder, grinding them into tiny particles and creating a large vacuum.

BOOM—

World-ending energy ripples raged between heaven and earth. It was like a Divine Sun had exploded; a shockwave of light poured down from the firmament, and a tidal wave of Chaos-colored Primordial Magnetic Power surged down, flooding the earth and sweeping across the land in all directions.

Wherever it passed,

mountains, rivers, plants, soil, and beasts were silently turned into countless particles. As if hit by a black hole, the effect expanded continuously outward, ultimately forming a gigantic, pitch-black Abyss.

WHOOSH—

A shockwave like a category-ten typhoon swept even farther.

”Celestial Essence Magnetic Burst Fist?”

Bai Ze Bureau’s Governor Fang Lie was leading a group of Divine Treasure masters, flying through the air as they sped towards the battlefield to provide support.

The moment the world-ending Magnetic Field ripples swept madly towards them, his expression changed drastically. He hurriedly raised his Protective Divine Gang to defend, while looking in horror toward the brilliant, multi-colored small Sun exploding in the depths of the distant sky.

During the battle at Luotou Mountain,

a berserk Wu Dao had used this move before.

The familiar world-ending energy aura, the familiar mysterious energy that forcefully dominated the power of all things in heaven and earth.

Fang Lie would never forget it for the rest of his life.

At that time, he believed he could have taken that hit in his peak condition.

But only ten-some days had passed!

And now, just the aftershock of the Energy made him feel as if he were facing a formidable enemy!

’Monster!’

”Don’t get any closer for now! That madman is fighting with his life on the line; he can’t tell friend from foe!”

Fang Lie’s expression was grave. He raised a hand to stop his colleagues from the Bai Ze Bureau, as well as the experts from Martial King Mountain and Zige Mountain, who wanted to press forward.

Fang Lie was right.

Wu Dao was indeed fighting with his life on the line!

In the Divine Heavenless State!

An extremely violent, slaughter-driven persona dominated his soul. He was like a machine executing a kill order, heedless of the cost or consequences, focused only on killing his target!

High in the firmament,

caught off guard by Wu Dao’s Celestial Essence Magnetic Burst Fist, the Celestial King’s Protective Divine Gang was shattered. His flesh was charred black all over, turning him into a man of charcoal.

”Aaargh—You vermin!!”

The pain searing through him from soul to flesh sent the Celestial King into a furious roar. He shattered the charred chunks of his own flesh as he threw a punch of boundless power that blasted open the void and smashed viciously into Wu Dao.

BAM—

There was no surprise!

Under the Celestial King’s furious punch, an overwhelming Power sent Wu Dao flying, once again shattering him into a thousand pieces.

CRACKLE—

But under the connection of the Magnetic Field’s current,

the thousands of fragments once again voraciously devoured the Magnetic Field Power of heaven and earth, beginning to rapidly regenerate!

”You want to regenerate? I’ll devour you!”

The Celestial King’s eyes were blood-red, his killing intent boundless. His Divine Treasure roared as a rainbow of Evil Qi spewed forth, empowering his Yama Devouring Heaven Divine Technique.

WHOOOOOSH—

The Nether Kun opened its maw to devour once more.

The Abyss erupted with infinite gravitational force, trying to swallow Wu Dao’s fragments, to completely annihilate them, crush them, grind them into dust!

But at that very moment—

RUMBLE!!

Another downpour of Golden Thunder Gang Wind, like a great waterfall from the Celestial River, crashed down. It completely filled the abyssal maw of the Nether Kun, pinning down all of the Celestial King’s power, leaving him unable to deal with Wu Dao.

BANG BANG BANG—

But the price Wu Dao paid was not small.

The fragments of his body that had been starting to reform exploded once more, turning into even smaller pieces of flesh and bone.

The Primordial Magnetic Power.

It manipulates the magnetic fields of all things in heaven and earth.

It wasn’t something you could use as much as you wanted.

It was like lifting something. If you tried to force yourself to lift a weight beyond your strength, you would cause massive damage to your body.

What’s more,

Wu Dao was currently drawing upon the Magnetic Field of the Celestial Thunder Gang Wind, a force powerful enough to threaten and kill a Celestial Human Twelfth Floor expert.

Every time he drew upon it,

he felt as if a great mountain was crushing him, or as if he’d been thrown into a grinder. The immense backlash from the Magnetic Field instantly tore him to pieces.

But was he afraid of injury?

What a joke!

To have your body ground to dust without batting an eye!

’That is a true expert!’

So—

”Why feel pain? Pain is forbidden!! This is the way of the strong! You should enjoy it, enjoy it!!”

RUMBLE!!

The moment the Celestial Thunder Gang Wind held back the Celestial King,

Wu Dao had already regenerated!

His body, withered like a dried corpse, appeared above the Celestial King’s head. Channeling the Magnetic Field Power of all creation, he let out a howl like an Evil Ghost and smashed down with another Celestial Essence Magnetic Burst Fist!

DOOM!!

Boundless, colorful light bloomed once more!

Even from the far distance, one could clearly see the rapidly expanding and exploding colorful Divine Sun.

The released Magnetic Field Energy threw all phenomena into chaos, giving birth to scenes of water, fire, wind, and thunder, and turning a large swath of the sky into a blurry, chaotic state.

”AAAAARGH!!!”

The moment the waves of Magnetic Field Energy blasted into his body, the Celestial King let out a heaven-shaking roar. He once again felt a pain that couldn’t be matched even by seven hundred years of torment to his soul and flesh.

The lines of the Magnetic Field were like thousands of electrified Divine Iron threads, weaving their way into his every cell!

He felt as if he had been plunged into the eighteenth level of Hell, suffering unimaginable tortures. Even a living Buddha would scream in pain, let alone him.

”You vermin! I’ll crush you, I’ll crush you!!”

BOOM!!

Another punch, as vast as an abyss, smashed over.

Wu Dao was once again blown to pieces.

But like an unkillable cockroach, the electrical currents in his cells locked onto the fragments, voraciously devouring the energy of the Earth and Heaven Magnetic Field to rapidly regenerate.

And,

just as the Celestial King wanted to press his advantage, he was suppressed by a myriad of Golden Thunder Gang Winds, and could only watch, his eyes nearly splitting with rage, as Wu Dao regenerated once again.

But this time, Wu Dao was in even worse shape.

Before, he had looked somewhat like a dried corpse.

Now, he was nothing but skin and bones, with only a thin layer of ashen skin draped over his skeleton. It was an exceptionally ghastly sight.

Forcefully mobilizing the Celestial Thunder from fifteen thousand meters up was, in itself, a dangerous act that surpassed the limits of the human body.

On top of that, he had unleashed the Divine Heavenless State. The amount of Life Force he lost every second was unimaginable.

The most fatal part was,

he was using his ultimate killing move, the Celestial Essence Magnetic Burst Fist, like a basic attack!

These various insane acts that squeezed his Life Force dry had caused the supply of energy from the Earth and Heaven Magnetic Field to be completely unable to keep up with his consumption.

If he kept fighting like this,

he would likely soon be unable to bear it any longer and would be completely annihilated, turning to ash and smoke.

However!

It didn’t matter!

It didn’t matter at all!

’Godlessness... Godlessness... No self, no thoughts!’

’Cast aside life and death! Cast aside everything!’

’If the enemy does not die...’

’I will not rest!’
