Chapter 99: Chapter 96 Visiting Wolf Mother, Encounter with Grizzly Bear._2

Just like Cousin and Wolf Sister, steamy heat rose from Wolf Mother’s head.

Especially since she was aided by the Evolution Potion, Wolf Mother effectively experienced three times the effect, and the heat on top of her head was not to be underestimated.

“Howl! Howl!”

Wolf Mother howled feeling hot all over.

She knew her cub would not harm her, and that the food was extremely delicious, but why did she feel so hot all over after eating it?

Wolf Mother was somewhat puzzled,

Her pale blue wolf eyes just looked towards Su Lin, filled with a pleading expression.

This made Su Lin comfort Wolf Mother for a long time, gradually dispelling her fear of the unknown.

Then, Wolf Mother lay down in a corner and began to patiently sense the changes in her body.

The powerful effect of Variant Species flesh, for ordinary species, brought a very noticeable improvement.

It is estimated that with the assistance of the Evolution Potion, if Wolf Mother ate one or two more meals of Variant Species flesh,

Even if she didn’t break through to Level 6, she would likely be close.

After all, Cousin didn’t use an Evolution Potion, and after eating two or three meals of Variant Species flesh, was about to break through from Level 4 to Level 5.

As for Su Lin and Wolf Father,

They placed the Variant Species flesh in a corner,

And Wolf Father, baring his fanged teeth, threatened the rest of the Wolf Pack not to covet the Variant Species flesh before leaving the cave.

Su Lin and Wolf Father braved the fierce blizzard to check the prey in Wolf Father’s territory.

Wolf Father did not have his own foresight,

Now, after ten consecutive days of blizzard, it is estimated that many prey had already frozen to death.

After all, no one knew how long this blizzard would last.

While patrolling the territory,

Su Lin found that Wolf Father’s territory had expanded to more than 1,300 square kilometers, almost twice the size of Su Lin’s own territory.

The area was quite large.

The Wolf Pack that Wolf Father commanded numbered only a meager fourteen, and such a vast territory was already unmanageable.

Moreover, Wolf Father’s territory had officially touched the territory of a large Wolf Pack to the west.

If that large Wolf Pack continued to expand, Wolf Father would definitely be the first to bear the brunt.

Therefore, during the patrol, Su Lin and Wolf Father communicated through intermittent low howls.

He advised Wolf Father to not be too obsessed with expanding the territory, and that maintaining a hunting territory of seven or eight hundred square kilometers was sufficient.

They shouldn’t stir up too much friction with the large Wolf Pack to the west.

He worried about the safety of Wolf Father and Wolf Mother.

“Howl! Howl!”

Perhaps Wolf Father also felt that the Wolf Pack was overstretched for the current territory.

Facing Su Lin’s advice, he howled low in agreement.

Following that,

During their patrol, Su Lin and Wolf Father also found that aside from a few Musk Oxen, Sika Deer, and some stronger Reindeer still struggling to survive under the Dissolving Cave,

Most other species had completely frozen to death during the ten days of continuous snowstorms.

Su Lin and Wolf Father made several trips back and forth,

Dragging back some prey carcasses that were not yet fully buried by the blizzard.

There were three Reindeer, two Sika Deer, and three Musk Oxen in total.

This was well over three thousand pounds of food, enough to sustain the Wolf Pack for a year without issue.

With so much food obtained, the entire Wolf Pack fell into a chorus of excited howling.

As for Wolf Father, he felt very grateful to his cub inside,

Without his cub, where would all this easy pickings come from?

Even though Wolf Father had evolved into a Variant Species, when it came to intelligence, there was still a huge gap compared to Su Lin.

Following that,

Wolf Father insisted on giving half of the food to Su Lin.

But Su Lin refused.

With his strength, he didn’t need to worry about food.

Even in the harshest of conditions, he could survive.

Su Lin’s visit this time was primarily to check on the safety of Wolf Father and Wolf Mother,

On the other hand, he hoped they would grow quickly by eating Variant Species flesh.

“`

He had achieved both of his goals, so he had no intention of staying any longer.

After being affectionate with Wolf Mother for a while, Su Lin let out a low howl to say goodbye.

When leaving, he once again admonished Wolf Father and Wolf Mother to finish the Variant Species Flesh as soon as possible.

Only in this way could the best effect of the Evolution Potion be brought into play.

Wolf Father and Wolf Mother responded with continuous low howls.

Immediately after,

they stood at the entrance to the cave, watching as their own cub gradually disappeared into the blizzard.

Wolf Mother’s head was still emitting wisps of steam, prompting Wolf Father to lick Wolf Mother’s head involuntarily.

“Ao!”

Feeling uncomfortably hot all over, Wolf Mother was not in the mood for such affection,

and with a shake of her head and a low howl, she returned to her spot to quietly lie down and feel the changes in her strength.

As the flesh of the Variant Species was absorbed and digested by her body,

the Qi-Blood within Wolf Mother began to become more abundant, and her strength grew bit by bit.

As for Wolf Father, the Variant Species Flesh also brought him a considerable enhancement, though it was not as apparent.

In the future, as Wolf Father and Wolf Mother’s strength increased further, their ability to survive would take a leap forward, allowing them to adapt better to the increasingly harsh natural environment.

….

At this moment, Su Lin,

was on his way back, and the night had gradually darkened.

Only the blizzard seemed to be howling eternally, never ceasing.

He silently doubled back on his way.

But just when Su Lin thought that in this raging blizzard he was the only one alone,

suddenly,

those green, haunting eyes spotted a majestic figure more than four meters tall flashing in front of him.

And this figure carried with it a wildly rising and domineering aura.

Su Lin had encountered this aura before.

Variant Species Grizzly Bear!

This was none other than the powerful Grizzly Bear that had nearly torn apart the Polar Bear,

the one that had activated its Defense Talent and dared to withstand the rifle attacks of Poachers.

Logically, this Grizzly Bear had been resting on the ice layer recently.

What was it doing here now?

Besides, the strength of this Grizzly Bear also gave Su Lin a shock.

In just a short month’s time, the strength of this Grizzly Bear had surged considerably!

He had seen the Evolution Ability of Variant Species.

After all, Xiao Hui, Little Lone Wolf, and Wolf Father were Variant Species,

normal growth could absolutely not account for such a huge increase in strength as this Grizzly Bear’s.

Therefore, a flicker of contemplation crossed Su Lin’s eyes.

Behind the increase in this Grizzly Bear’s strength, there had to be something he did not know!

Currently, the powerful Grizzly Bear had not noticed Su Lin.

Because Grizzly Bears do not have good eyesight.

Moreover, the ferocious blizzard also made its extremely sharp sense of smell mostly ineffective.

Right now, it was just moving its massive body, walking deliberately through the blizzard.

After pondering for a moment, a glint flashed across Su Lin’s haunting green Wolf Eyes.

He decided to follow and see what this powerful Grizzly Bear was up to,

he might even find the reason for its rapid increase in strength!

Pu chi… Pu chi…

Su Lin’s Wolf Claws made light sounds on the ice and snow,

which was inconsequential compared to the sound of the Grizzly Bear’s massive paws on the ice and snow.

The Grizzly Bear was ahead, and Su Lin followed about three hundred meters behind.

This was the farthest distance his vision could reach in the blizzard.

The powerful Variant Species Grizzly Bear was very fast.

After a short while, it moved several kilometers through the icy snowy land, then its pace finally slowed down.
