Crazy Leveling System

Chapter 998

Yi Tianyun and Xiao Murong followed the token’s lead to head toward the next destination. They could go anywhere they wanted, but eventually, they had to head into the token’s destination to get to the next stage of the War of Ascension.

War God Thunder Drum was an exception as anyone could just skip it if they wanted to. If they already deemed that they had enough tokens to continue, they didn’t have to go to War God Thunder Drums.

………………..

Is this the next screening point?” Xiao Murong said as she saw two towering mountains that stood side by side. She saw a high hillside that led to the upper side of the mountain, but she didn’t know which path she should take. There were a lot of cultivators on the way, and they seemed to be struggling to climb the mountain!

Some cultivators even fell down the mountain as if being being dragged by some invisible power. The fallen eventually hit the ground and fainted immediately.

“Kill them!” A cultivator from the side of the mountain immediately rushed towards the fallen cultivators and stabbed them to death! The fallen cultivators couldn’t do anything to save themselves as the impact from the fall had already left them incapable of moving.

Their tokens fell out, and it was easy to collect. Clearly, the other cultivators were also on guards as they didn’t want the same thing to happen to them too.

Yi Tianyun started to look around and found many cultivators hiding in the surrounding forest. Clearly, they didn’t want to fight head-on as these competitors weren’t weak, and they didn’t want to get injured unnecessarily! So, it was best to wait for the fallen cultivators instead.

Once they saw someone fall to the ground, they would immediately kill them and rob their tokens. This place was the closest path forward from the War God Thunder Drum, and thus, many cultivators with many tokens would eventually come here!

This was also the reason why this place has become a danger zone as it was an area where many cultivators fought each other! This place had become a battlefield with a battle style of its own! The cultivators here ought to be careful of any incoming sneak attack that might come their way.

The cultivators all over the area immediately stared at Yi Tianyun and Xiao Murong when they entered the area. Clearly, as Yi Tianyun and Xiao Murong didn’t come with a big group, they thought that they finally found easy prey! Now, they definitely would send an assassin to kill Yi Tianyun and Xiao Murong cleanly.

“These people surely thought that we were an easy target, right?” Xiao Murong said disgustedly.

“Well, it is common knowledge in the battle to target the fewer among people. Still, the survivor is the winner.” Yi Tianyun said while shaking his head. He didn’t like a sneak attack at all, but it was a common strategy in a battle of this scale. A sneak attack didn’t break the rule at all, as those who were not cautious enough in the middle of a war would be at ault.

Yi Tianyun then walked forward and signalled for Xiao Murong to keep up with him. The two of them immediately walked up the mountain, and that was when Yi Tianyun saw that the hiding Cultivators on the side were starting to move as well.

“That pair, the woman probably his Dao Companion! I am sure they have a lot of tokens with them! I am sure our men could handle the two of them!” A cultivator said on the side.

“Clearly! Leave the woman to me!” Another cultivator said excitedly. They began to discuss how they would get rid of Yi Tianyun and Xiao Murong. But as they turned their attention back to Yi Tianyun and Xiao Murong, they were startled as they only saw Xiao Murong standing at the foot of the mountain while they couldn’t see Yi Tianyun anywhere.

“If you want to kill me, then do it now!” Yi Tianyun’s voice came from behind the cultivators’ line, startling them off. They immediately draw their weapons, ready to attack anyone that came close. But suddenly, a phantom shadow attacked them out of nowhere!

The previous cultivator that targeted Xiao Murong was kicked and slammed to the ground hard, killing him instantly. There was no way any of these people could withstand Yi Tianyun’s kick! Yi Tianyun originally wanted to ignore these cultivators, but as he heard what they had in mind, there was no reason to let them go!

“How did you get over there?” Xiao Murong was shocked as she only realised that YI Tianyun was gone a while ago, but she was even surprised to see that Yi Tianyun had killed several cultivators that looked at them the wrong way!

“Fly over the forest, of course!” Yi Tianyun said as he juggled some tokens. Xiao Murong just shook her head as she knew that she couldn’t understand Yi Tianyun completely. The other cultivators that saw the scene from the side were slightly relieved that they weren’t attacked by Yi Tianyun. Obviously, they saw how powerful Yi Tianyun was, and they immediately realised that there was no way they could win against Yi Tianyun with their current power.

Yi Tianyun ignored the rest of the cultivators that hid in the forest as he knew they wouldn’t trouble him later on. He then moved forward, climbing the mountain to reach the next destination, but suddenly a strong wind tried to push him back down.

“Is this Divine Wind Valley? Is this the next test that they prepared for us?” Yi Tianyun said as he looked around him. Clearly, there was no wind earlier, and now there was a strong wind that pushed people down.

No wonder many peoples couldn’t withstand the wind at the end and fell to their demise!

“This is the only way to go!” Yi Tianyun said while sighing annoyedly. This Divine Wind Valley clearly didn’t give any reward, but if he didn’t take this path, he would have to go around, and it would take too much time!

The assessment was time-limited. Although the given time wasn’t necessarily short, it was still limited to some extent. The cultivators that failed to reach the destination in the given time would fail instantly!

“This wind is cool, I like it! I will beat you on this one! From all attributes out there, wind is the least of my worries!” Xiao Murong said with a smile on her face.

“If that’s the case, I would like to see you at the top before me!” Yi Tianyun said with a smile on his face.
