Celestial Beast Taming

Chapter 31: Chapter 30: A Healing Element Rule, Really?

Wen Tao voiced the question on everyone’s mind.

Including this newest one, Starlight City had only seen the awakening of three Celestial Destiny Seekers in the past decade.

One had their potential rated as S, the other as S+.

And the Celestial Destiny Seeker rated S+ didn’t even have a combat-related Rule; they were a purely Support Type Celestial Destiny Seeker.

While the emergence of another S-Level Celestial Destiny Seeker was still a joyous occasion, it also signified that Starlight City had, for the first time in nearly thirty years, lost its qualifications to contend with other Heroic Cities.

In the Xin Xia Federation’s Heroic City rankings, held every fifty years, they would be relegated to the middle-lower or even bottom tiers.

When facing Lu Jinlun, the chairman of the Guardian Beast Union, on her own, Su Ya had already felt immense pressure.

Not to mention that now, the eyes of two great Celestial Destiny Seekers were fixed upon her!

Remembering the vibrant scene within Zhong Yi’s Soul Base, Su Ya began to speak.

”Lord Jing Shui, I only saw a part of the scene in the Soul Base before I was pushed out by the Power of Rules.”

”If I’m not mistaken, the Order Beast of this Celestial Destiny Seeker should control a Rule related to healing.”

As Su Ya spoke these words, it was as if time itself had been paused.

Only the wind, stirring the Star-Picking Soaring that climbed the Star Frost Tower, and the rustling of its swaying flowers and leaves proved that time had not, in fact, stopped.

”A Healing Element Rule, really?”

Even someone with Wen Tao’s calm personality couldn’t help but cry out in surprise along with Lin Zhuo.

Beside them, Lu Jinlun subconsciously clutched his chest.

’A Healing Element Rule!?’

Before coming, Lu Jinlun hadn’t asked Su Ya about the situation with this newly awakened Celestial Destiny Seeker. He wasn’t a Celestial Destiny Seeker himself, so rashly inquiring about one was considered disrespectful to the entire group.

He never imagined that this newly awakened Celestial Destiny Seeker would give Starlight City such a massive surprise.

Currently, in the entire Xin Xia Federation, including all newly awakened ones, there was only one Celestial Destiny Seeker with a Healing Ability.

And that Celestial Destiny Seeker wasn’t even one who controlled a healing Rule, but rather one who controlled a Water Element Rule.

Even so, that Celestial Destiny Seeker was still the most respected among all their peers, second only to the Three Emperors, Four Venerables, and Five Monarchs.

Keep in mind, when that Celestial Destiny Seeker had just awakened their water-related Rule, before they had developed their Healing Ability, their potential was only rated as S-Level.

A Celestial Destiny Seeker who controlled a Healing Element Rule, even without awakening a Beastmaster Talent, would have a potential rating of SS Level at the very least.

Amid his shock and excitement, Wen Tao suddenly realized something and asked Su Ya in a serious tone.

”How many people know about this?”

Seeing Wen Tao’s solemn tone, Su Ya hurriedly and very seriously replied.

”Lord Jing Shui, besides myself and the Awakening Master who assisted, only Chairman Lu knows about this.”

”The other Awakening Master and I are both professionally trained, and Chairman Lu just personally called them to issue a gag order.”

Before Su Ya could even finish her sentence, the communicator clipped to Lu Jinlun’s waist began to ring.

Seeing the message on the communicator, Lu Jinlun’s expression changed drastically.

Lu Jinlun had already anticipated that when he brought Su Ya to the Star Frost Tower to report the news of a new Celestial Destiny Seeker to Lin Zhuo and Wen Tao, they would want to meet this newly awakened individual.

The legacy of Celestial Destiny Seekers was passed down through Guardians, with the previous generation protecting the growth of the new.

If a Guardian Beast Master’s Lifebound Guardian Beast was food that the Bizarre vied to hunt, allowing them to rapidly increase their strength by devouring it...

...then a Celestial Destiny Seeker’s Order Beast was, to the Bizarre, the ultimate addictive substance that would drive them into a frenzy.

In this world, it wasn’t just Guardian Beast Masters who wanted to grow stronger; the Bizarre did as well.

Although the Bizarre were hunters, their living conditions were actually no better than those of ordinary Guardian Beast Masters.

Even in the Lower City District, the Bizarre didn’t dare to operate too brazenly due to the presence of the Ghost Suppression Bureau.

Under normal circumstances, the Bizarre were incapable of Evolution. But if one successfully devoured a Celestial Destiny Seeker’s Order Beast...

...not only could its Deceit Beast Bloodline evolve, but it might also grasp a trace of the Power of Rules.

Although the Power of Rules gained by devouring an Order Beast was far weaker than that wielded by the Order Beast itself, it was still endlessly useful.

Before a Celestial Destiny Seeker was fully grown, the existence of a Guardian was not only to prevent accidental dangers during their development but also to deal with Bizarre that specifically targeted them.

Because he had anticipated this, Lu Jinlun had specifically arranged for people to wait at the entrances of the Beastmaster Association’s three Newbie Secret Realms for Zhong Yi and Zhong Ling to emerge.

But unexpectedly, none of the three Newbie Secret Realms had any record of the two registering.

Their registration information was instead found at the Horned Demon Secret Realm in the North City Suburbs!

And according to the registration information, only Zhong Yi and Zhong Ling had entered together.

Two newly awakened Guardian Beast Masters going to explore the Horned Demon Secret Realm by themselves—it was absolute madness!

In an instant, cold sweat broke out on Lu Jinlun’s back, soaking his clothes.

Seeing the change in Lu Jinlun’s expression, Lin Zhuo couldn’t help but ask.

”Elder Lu, has a thorny issue come up at the Beastmaster Association? If so, you should go back and handle it first.”

”Just have Su Ya accompany the two of us to meet the newly awakened little one.”

This matter was of grave importance, concerning the future of all of Starlight City and the Celestial Destiny Seeker collective.

Celestial Destiny Seekers enjoyed the support of all humanity!

But while enjoying this honor, they also carried out the world’s most dangerous duties.

Those volatile Secret Realms on the verge of merging with the world were almost always cleared out by Celestial Destiny Seekers leading the charge.

This meant that Celestial Destiny Seekers constantly faced all sorts of dangers. Even with a Guardian’s protection, their odds of reaching maturity were only about fifty percent—not even two-thirds.

The main reason for this wasn’t that Celestial Destiny Seekers fell directly within Secret Realms.

Rather, it was because their Order Beasts’ Origins were wounded beyond saving, causing their life force to drain away over several years as their injuries gradually worsened, eventually leading to death.

A Healing Element Celestial Destiny Seeker was a blessing for the entire Celestial Destiny Seeker community!

If such a blessing were to be extinguished in the Horned Demon Secret Realm just after appearing, the consequences were something Lu Jinlun couldn’t even begin to imagine.

Lu Jinlun didn’t dare to hide anything and explained the situation. Before he could even finish, a blazing arc of light shot across the sky.

Across the sky above Starlight City’s entire Central District, vast swathes of fiery clouds appeared.

Brilliant, rose-colored clouds were converging on the North City District at an incredible speed.

At this moment, inside the Horned Demon Secret Realm, Zhong Yi—who had just coordinated with Zhong Ling to wipe out a small Horned Demon Swarm—was completely unaware of the commotion he was causing in the outside world.

Zhong Yi’s mind was entirely focused on exploring the Horned Demon Secret Realm.
