Celestial Beast Taming

Chapter 19: Chapter 18: Resurrection Celestial Lord’s Rule Authority

Zhong Yi had seen the true form of the Resurrection Celestial Lord more than once.

The Resurrection Celestial Lord was a Human-shaped Guardian Beast, its entire body shrouded beneath a gold and green robe.

The golden parts of the robe were woven from golden threads that emitted a dazzling light, like the halo of the sun.

The green parts, however, were made of countless sparkling, translucent green gems, meticulously strung and sewn onto the robe.

Since the Resurrection Celestial Lord’s entire body was shrouded beneath the robe, it was impossible to see what was underneath.

However, one could feel an aura of sacredness and majesty emanating from it.

Every Lifebound Guardian Beast awakened by a Guardian Beast Master has its own personality, and Order Beasts are no exception.

The moment the Resurrection Celestial Lord met Zhong Yi in the Soul Base, it immediately stood up from a totem-carved throne within the palace.

It then flew towards Zhong Yi like a fledgling swallow returning to its nest. As it ran, Zhong Yi could clearly feel the aggrieved emotions it was sending him.

It was as if it was complaining about being bullied by the Soul-Controlling Flower earlier and not receiving any of Zhong Yi’s affection.

If he weren’t in his soul state, Zhong Yi would have been tempted to facepalm right then and there.

Hong Ji looked every bit the part of a cold queen, but in reality, she was a complete psycho.

This Resurrection Celestial Lord looked noble and sacred, yet its personality was that of a little crybaby.

’Do all my Guardian Beasts have personalities based on sheer contrast!?’

In its normal form, the Resurrection Celestial Lord was a semi-corporeal phantom over five meters tall.

But by the time it reached Zhong Yi, the five-meter-tall phantom had shrunk to one meter and solidified into a semi-corporeal form.

This size allowed Zhong Yi to easily scoop the Resurrection Celestial Lord into his arms.

With his Lifebound Guardian Beast being a little crybaby, Zhong Yi had no choice but to comfort it out loud.

”There, there. It’s alright, don’t cry.”

”I couldn’t communicate with you before because I hadn’t activated my Soul Base. From now on, the Soul-Controlling Flower definitely won’t bully you again.”

As Zhong Yi spoke, he gently patted the Resurrection Celestial Lord’s back, and his actions clearly soothed it.

In truth, even without Zhong Yi’s promise, now that the Soul Base was awakened, the Resurrection Celestial Lord had formed a connection with him and become thoroughly imbued with his aura.

Because of this, the Soul-Controlling Flower was no longer hostile toward the Resurrection Celestial Lord; its attitude had even become somewhat amicable.

However, it was merely amicable, a far cry from the clingy attachment it showed toward Zhong Yi.

Seeing Zhong Yi hugging the Resurrection Celestial Lord, the Soul-Controlling Flower’s long, slender, ribbon-like petals began to twist with jealousy.

While hugging the Resurrection Celestial Lord, Zhong Yi was already inspecting the data of his Lifebound Guardian Beast.

[Guardian Beast Name]: Resurrection Celestial Lord

[Guardian Beast Species]: Celestial Human Species / Celestial Lord Species

[Guardian Beast Level]: Mortal Beast Level (1/10)

[Guardian Beast Type]: Rule Element

[Guardian Beast Quality]: Unranked

Skills:

[Recovery Enlightenment]: Guides the target through an enlightenment, causing the target to consume its own Energy to recover from injuries. It also has a certain purifying effect on negative statuses like curses and toxins that restrict recovery.

Rule Authority:

[Eternal Life Reformation]: Integrates a Core of Resurgence into a target, activating its Life Template and causing the target to reform physical deformities and ailments according to that template.

A look of shock appeared on Zhong Yi’s face as he reviewed the information.

’Order Beasts are truly worthy of their name, Creatures born with the innate Power of Rules!’

As a Healing Element Order Beast, the Resurrection Celestial Lord’s abilities could only be described as insane.

This newborn Order Beast was currently at Mortal Beast Level, First Level Unranked.

The greatest fear for a Healing-type Guardian Beast Master on the battlefield is their own Guardian Beast running out of Energy while healing their teammates’ Guardian Beasts.

A Low Tier Healing-type Guardian Beast Master can rarely command their Guardian Beast to use its Healing Abilities more than a few times in a single battle.

Even when a Healing-type Guardian Beast Master reaches a High Tier, this problem is still difficult to avoid.

But the Resurrection Celestial Lord’s innate Mortal Beast Level Skill, Recovery Enlightenment, allowed it to heal multiple targets simultaneously on the battlefield.

Casting the Skill Recovery Enlightenment consumed almost none of the Resurrection Celestial Lord’s own Energy.

This was because the healing from Recovery Enlightenment came at the cost of the target’s Energy, not the Resurrection Celestial Lord’s.

For Guardian Beast Masters specializing in the Combat Element, it was rare for their contracted Guardian Beasts to run out of Energy in a fight.

Usually, they lost their ability to fight due to fatal injuries or the accumulation of wounds long before their strength was depleted.

Using the Energy within these Combat-type Guardian Beasts to heal their injuries was equivalent to turning them into fighting machines that feared no wound and dared to trade blows.

They could bravely unleash their full combat potential on the battlefield!

Not only that, but Recovery Enlightenment also had the effect of purifying curses and toxins that restricted a target’s recovery.

This ability to cleanse curses and toxins was already equivalent to the role of a Support Element Guardian Beast Master in battle.

Exploring certain special Secret Realms had restrictions on the number of people who could enter.

Being able to go without a Support Type Guardian Beast Master would significantly raise a team’s overall potential.

Order Beasts were different from ordinary Guardian Beasts. In addition to gaining Exclusive Traits when their Quality was upgraded, just like ordinary Guardian Beasts, they also possessed a Rule Authority that grew stronger as they did.

The Resurrection Celestial Lord’s Rule Authority was called Eternal Life Reformation, and it could use the healing Rule it commanded to condense a Core of Resurgence.

After this Core of Resurgence was integrated into a target, it could activate the target’s Life Template to initiate recovery.

To put it simply, every life, whether its soul or its physical body, grows according to its Life Template.

Every time a life undergoes a qualitative leap, its Life Template evolves along with it.

Ordinary Healing-type Guardian Beasts could only treat injuries; they were helpless against Origin-level wounds that damaged the Life Template itself, such as missing limbs.

This was precisely why so many Guardian Beast Masters were forced to stop fighting after their Guardian Beasts suffered damage to their Origin.

Zhong Chenghuai was a prime example!

But with its Rule Authority, Eternal Life Reformation, the Resurrection Celestial Lord could handle more than just severed limbs. Even if a target was decapitated or had their heart shattered, as long as they weren’t dead and were still breathing, it could help them regrow destroyed organs and tissues according to their Life Template, restoring their physical body to a perfect state.

The soul also grows according to this template, so Eternal Life Reformation could repair a damaged soul as well.

Since the Core of Resurgence drew upon the target’s own Energy after being integrated, healing via Eternal Life Reformation also didn’t consume much of the Resurrection Celestial Lord’s Energy.

It only needed to condense a single Core of Resurgence!

This meant that even at the Mortal Beast Level, the Resurrection Celestial Lord’s Rule Authority, Eternal Life Reformation, could still affect High Tier Creatures.

The higher a Creature’s tier, the harder it was to recover from injuries, and the higher the tier of resources required for healing.

For example, if an Order Beast’s Origin was damaged, there were very few ways to restore it.

Zhong Yi knew very well how needed and sought-after the Resurrection Celestial Lord’s Healing Ability would be among the Celestial Destiny Seekers.

This demand would be just like how ordinary Guardian Beast Masters sought after Healing-type Guardian Beast Masters—or perhaps even more frantic.

After all, for ordinary Guardian Beast Masters, although Healing-type Guardian Beast Masters were rare, they were not impossible to find and choose from.

But for the Celestial Destiny Seekers, Zhong Yi’s Order Beast, the Resurrection Celestial Lord, was unique and irreplaceable.
