Chapter 1282: Chapter 980: I Don’t Want to Try Anymore

The boiling ocean seemed to freeze for a moment.

The raging undercurrent disappeared without a trace.

It seemed as if tranquility had returned.

But it was not the arrival of peace; something even more terrifying was rising rapidly from the depths of the ocean, ascending towards the light above the horizon.

Thus, a rapidly expanding shadow was etched upon the sea surface.

In this brief moment of calm, everyone felt an indescribable pressure and fear.

A piercing electric light struck down from the clouds, followed by a mighty thunderclap, and the turbulent sea surface shattered with a roar. Thousands of tons of seawater churned, erupting into massive waves.

And a thick tentacle had already extended from beneath the sea, sweeping towards the teenage girl who was not concealing her Source Fluctuation.

The waves surged anew.

The sea wind howled, and the turbulent sea waves swept under the beating of the tentacles, nearly lifting the retreating ship once more. Shanxia, hanging onto the railing, involuntarily soared and fell back.

Staring with wide, bewildered eyes.

Seeing the slender silhouette seemingly soaring through the storm.

Beneath the dazzling glare of the spotlight, she lightly leaped between each droplet of water, with countless small ice fragments forming beneath her feet and swiftly shattering under her tread.

The Yu Step she was using was unfamiliar, yet it manifested in a way completely different from that of the Wood Cottage and Huai Shi. With the Stigma of the Servant of Ice Maiden, even the storm became her foothold!

The balance and flexibility cultivated through long training at the Tribunal allowed her to miniaturize herself to an unimaginable degree instantly and leap lightly like a cat on any foothold.

Even gravity could not bind her steps.

At this moment, she leapt into the air and landed upon the hideous tentacle, freezing the flowing acid.

Gazing downwards.

”Is this the Sea Owner? Yingzhou’s monks don’t look good... They’re oversized, did they grow up on nuclear waste?”

Amidst the boiling ocean, an enormous octopus, akin to a building, slowly emerged, with a head covered in scales and mutation marks, and two giant eyes emitting a light as terrifying as the spotlight.

Next, countless tentacles emerged from the deep sea.

”Hey!”

In mid-air, Aniya turned agilely, clasping her hands together, and from the pouring rain drew out an enormous ice hammer similar to Huai Shi’s style, smashing it onto the tentacle below.

Under the counterforce, her body soared into the air once more, deftly evading the entwining of those complex tentacles, raising her finger to blow a shrill whistle towards the distant ship.

”Fire! Fire! Fire!”

Shanxia turned to roar.

In the captain’s cabin, the Scholars had long since pressed a button, and accompanied by the turning of overtime, harpoon arrays rose from below, roaring as they launched heavy bolts.

Heavy steel cables extended as the arrows flew.

The Alchemic harpoons, covered in layers of matrices, instantly plunged into the enormous octopus’s body, followed by dazzling currents transmitted through the cables, surging forth instantly.

In the blinding electric light, frozen Source Substance fluctuated.

Clearly lacking any mouth, the colossal sea monster emitted a scream so disorienting that everyone saw black.

Next, dozens of steel cables snapped instantly.

High-pressure water swept across, leaving a brutal dent on the ship body from afar, alarms rang, frightened screams echoed, and seawater surged back, breaching the isolation chamber, and flooding into the lower cabin.

”High-Pressure Water Knife?”

In mid-air, Aniya was slightly startled, complaining, ”Why does a joke turn into such a troublesome job? I hate seafood!”

In her discontented shout, the White Wolf once again carried the frost wind, breaking through the storm and descending from the sky.

Directly onto the sea monster’s head.

Shriek caused by the deteriorated environment, dazzling light erupted from its eyes, the rotten breath and venom spread with the light but refracted before an ice mirror.

Behind the shattered ice mirror, black flames appeared out of thin air.

Malicious fire surged, enveloping the slender girl, transforming her into the earthly incarnation of the Evil God, gifts from the Black God erupted from her hands!

Two extraordinarily long ice swords swiftly manifested, enveloped in flames.

Blades nearly dozens of meters long swung through the storm, where they passed, the rain curtain was sliced into fragments!

In a snap, scars were left on the massive sea monster’s body.

But those thick tentacles and hideous body were simply too mighty, as if this was merely a scratch, indifferent.

But soon, proliferating ice grew from the wounds and started to spread!

Freezing was just a surface.

The true essence was the ’Rancor’ enough to distort thermodynamics, and quench the furnace!

Now, Rancor was growing...

The Sea Owner roared.

Finally, amidst the surging tide, its lower half was revealed!

It was flesh melded with steel, forming a deformed trunk using the skeleton of a sunken giant passenger liner!

Countless phantoms of drowned souls floated from the liner’s wreckage, swirling around Anna, stalling her for a moment, then the high-pressure water knife swept across.

The terrible power capable of severing an iron ship tore through the sea, stirring up howling ripples.

”Get out of the way!”

Aniya screamed, black flames tore the ghosts, then instantly froze them into layers of frost, restoring their shape after the water knife’s sweep.

The frozen ice shell had already disintegrated.

Even the front of her chest and the arms covering her face revealed damage.

More importantly...

Her backpack had completely shattered, the handheld originally placed in the waterproof bag fell out, dropped into the sea, beyond reach!

”Aaaaah!!! The handheld I borrowed from the teacher! And my save file, my save file, my save file!!! I was almost breaking his record...”

With grief, the teenage girl widened her eyes, the White Wolf roared: ”You’re doomed, you’re doomed, you know! No one in heaven or Earth can save you!”

Thus, angrily shouting the chaotic ’gangster curses’ learned from the Wood Cottage, black flames and white light appeared from her hands once more.

The favor of the White God and Black God was shown here, frost swords extended, and thunder erupted from her hands, striking down!

In the roar, the enormous tentacles were severed at the waist by that slender sword blade!

Poisonous blood spurted out, along with a large amount of ink, turning the seawater into boiling toxic soup. And the furious White Wolf was already stepping on the severed tentacles, counterattacking back.

The dual swords in her hand continued chopping and dicing, relentlessly dismembering the monstrous sea creature.

Even the wreckage of the passenger ships covered in barnacles and parasites was severed at the waist under the sword blade, as she wielded this overwhelming power without hesitation, regardless of the rapidly depleting Source Substance, Anna soared into the air.

Close at hand, she gazed down at those gigantic orange-yellow monster eyes.

”—Perish, quickly now!”

Black flames and white light instantly merged, transforming into a flickering fierce blaze that erupted.

The goodness and evil extracted from countless human natures erupted after undergoing a Triple-fold Source Material Transformation, forming the frost stream that pierced through the Sea Owner’s skull, brutally stirring, shattering every piece of tissue!

Countless frost rapidly spread, parasitizing on the remaining body, soon completely shattering the disaster birthed from fear and legend!

On that chaotic iceberg, Anna breathed heavily, wiping the rain from her face.

She looked down at the numerous debris floating in the sea wave.

Along with the handheld console already shattered into pieces.

Her eyes turned slightly red.

”Ugh, so unfair!”

She patted the screen that could no longer light up, murmuring sorrowfully: ”My save data, my save data...”

Only now, Yamashita, leaning against the railing, finally sighed in relief, exhausted, even though he hadn’t stepped onto the battlefield, he felt more mentally tired than if he had.

A group of grown men standing back, letting a teenage girl go to battle... is this really appropriate?

Even knowing that someone like him was useless from beginning to end, he couldn’t help worrying.

Seeing the sea monster being dealt with so cleanly, he should be happy, but for some reason, unease still surged in his heart.

According to the Scholars at university, eliminating a newly birthed disaster like the Sea Owner should restore things to their original state. But why is this sea area still so turbulent?

Unless...

At that moment, his expression changed drastically: ”Miss Anna, be careful! There’s still...”

”There still?”

Aniya raised her head in confusion.

What else?

The answer to her was a terrifying roar from the depths of the ocean.

A towering sea tide appeared out of nowhere, followed by countless Yin Souls screaming in a whale-song-like cry. A menacing shadow under the ghostly fire shattered the towering iceberg.

There’s another one!

The disaster brewed in this sea area wasn’t just the Sea Owner, but two!

And now, the enormous creature covered in pale bone had surfaced from the deep sea, opening its mouth, lunging towards the teenage girl atop the iceberg.

It was the disaster, the ocean overlord mutated long ago that once left countless shadows across Yingzhou...

—Transmutation Whale!

”...Coming again?”

Anna numbly scratched her soaked hair.

Like a student realizing the day before school starts that they haven’t done any summer homework, she began to give up.

To hell with homework.

Not doing it!

”Teacher, help me!”

She closed her eyes, tilted her head, and shouted towards the sky: ”I don’t want to try anymore!!!”

Then, at that moment, a faint sigh sounded.

Filled with helplessness.

And among the black clouds and thunder, the Steel Flying Bird overseeing everything lowered its eyes, the crimson pupils reflecting the gigantic Transmutation Whale.

Then, thunder exploded!

Heaven and earth fell silent.

The overwhelming tide sound disappeared without a trace.

Only a scorching bright light emerged from the end of the sky, tearing through the dark clouds, a blazing flame burst forth, tearing through iron-like dark clouds, breaking through the violent gusts and torrential rain along the way, instantly traversing a long distance, charging forth from Tanbo.

Clearing away all shadows!

Within the flame, descending between the ocean and sky, it pierced into the Transmutation Whale’s skull. Followed by an echoing cry within the monstrous waves...

Instantly, the Transmutation Whale’s body turned to dust.

The dark clouds shattered, the towering waves vanished without a trace, only the tranquil moonlight spilled from behind the fragmented clouds, lighting up the wide-eyed teenage girl.

On the iceberg, the majestic and luxurious Cross Spear dissipated like a phantom.

The Iron Crow flew away.

.

.

In the rain that persisted in Tanbo, Huai Shi closed the window.

Just like he had only briefly let in the breeze, he returned to his seat, calmly gazing at the visitor from the Deer’s Sing Hall in the meeting room.

”Where were we just now?”

He said, ”Let’s continue.”
