Chapter 1243: Chapter 949: VIP Treatment

Without any notification or diplomatic communiqué, the Rome Emperor’s palace unexpectedly appeared in the sky above the Russian Federation, directly over the military airport.

At any time, this could be considered a terrifying scene akin to a declaration of war.

Yet at the moment, after a brief commotion and chaos, everything quickly returned to order. It was as if everyone chose to ignore it, and the resolution from the patriarchs was passed to the Ural.

It’s just an annoying neighbor dropping by, no need to make a fuss.

Everything operates as usual.

Soon, two guards who obtained landing permission, holding the authoritative Axe of Pole, donned in golden armor, confidently strode into their lounge.

After surveying the surroundings, they ignored Anna, who was behind Huai Shi and eagerly expecting, and stopped in front of them, ”Mr. Luo Su, His Majesty invites you!”

”His Majesty?” Huai Shi was a bit dazed, ”Which His Majesty?”

”Mind your words, Mr. Huai Shi.”

The guard’s expression hardened as he proudly proclaimed, ”In Rome, there is only one noble Majesty, and the people have only one supreme Emperor!”

Huai Shi’s vision blurred.

The current Rome Emperor, the sixth ’Titus’ in history, is now in the Aerial Courtyard, intending to meet Luo Su?

Seriously, you as an Emperor, the Lord of Rome, just came to the Russian Federation for such whimsical actions!

What are you after!

”Sometimes, the emperor profession can be frighteningly childish.”

Luo Su shook his head self-deprecatingly, ”Originally, I was thinking about tossing a coin, but it seems that His Majesty likely will not allow a coin with patterns ranked alongside himself, right?”

Before he could toss the coin, it had already followed the Emperor’s will and provided the result.

”Follow me, Huai Shi.”

Luo Su waved to his student and the student’s student behind him, ”Let me take you to the Aerial Courtyard to broaden your horizons.”

The guards silently made way for them.

Welcoming the arrival of the Emperor’s esteemed guests.

.

Even in an age with better options, superior helicopters, and more convenient methods, Romans still adhere to old rules, choosing the gold chariot for travel, proud of this cost-ineffectiveness.

Yet, when actually standing in front of that majestic city in mid-air, one could feel the pressure and awe that cannot be felt on the ground.

Such pretentiousness and extravagance allowing this magnificent palace to soar in the sky, not equipped with any weapon or equipment, purely for display, showcasing luxurious and splendid beauty.

Even the smooth-as-a-mirror marble slabs beneath their feet were inlaid with gold patterns and reliefs, with countless artworks and exquisite decorations in sight.

It’s as if surrounded by all the world’s beautiful things.

Gold, flowers, and beauties, dazzling the eyes.

The coming and going servants were draped in white silk robes, robust and handsome, with fine features, and the beauties of various styles were truly mesmerizing.

The meticulous service was attentive to every detail.

However, as the attendants bowed their heads, Huai Shi raised his hand without turning back, patting Anna on the back of the head, ”Stop staring at people’s necks.”

”I wasn’t looking,” the teenage girl retorted, ”How do you know I was looking?”

”Because I was looking too.”

Huai Shi glanced back at her, ”And I also know you were looking one centimeter too low.”

Anna glared at him, puffed up with anger, without speaking.

The servants dutifully served them, though not understanding what they were talking about, inexplicably feeling a bit cold at the back of their necks.

The corner of the eye of the ritual officer following beside them twitched slightly, expressionless, pretending not to hear such disrespectful talk.

The further they went in, the more opulent everything seen along the way became, and in the end, Huai Shi almost went numb.

But when the final grand door opened before him, he couldn’t help but stare, mouth agape.

Because the thick steam burst from the door crack, accompanied by the gentle sound of flowing water, singing, and the roar of waterfalls... Pure white marble walls without blemish or gap, with beast heads carved into them continuously spouting warm water, cascading from the highest platform.

The incense burning in copper stoves made the air thick with a rich, warm sensation.

Amidst the harmonious music played by musicians, at this moment, before Huai Shi’s eyes appeared... a bathhouse?

”Hiss...”

Huai Shi sharply inhaled what little cold air there was behind the door, suddenly feeling that he hadn’t arrived at the palace of the Rome Emperor but had accidentally entered a Northeast Great Bathhouse.

Instinctively reaching out, wanting to grab a token, then rinse off before soaking in the pool, steaming a sauna, and having a hearty meal before collapsing to sleep.

Your palace, is there something wrong?

Huai Shi couldn’t help but imagine the scene of the Emperor lying on a massage table enjoying a scrub, the diligent master skillfully patting the Emperor’s bottom after scrubbing his back, indicating His Majesty to flip over...

This is too stimulating.

”Why are you standing there dumbfounded, Huai Shi, change your clothes.”

Already heading towards the changing room, Luo Su waved at Huai Shi, ”Bathing is an essential part of Roman culture, and this is a VIP treatment, why hesitate? Are you thinking of something naughty? Then you’ll be disappointed...”

The old head laughed heartily, already entering the door.

Huai Shi’s face twitched.

Honestly, not quite ready for ’bare honestly’ with this old man.

After hesitating for a long while, he reluctantly changed his clothes, but when turning back, his gaze paused on Luo Su’s back.

The skinny, elderly man had already wrapped himself in a towel.

On his naked upper body, there was a layer of alarming burn scars, and two intersecting scars. The texture of the scars was clearly visible, and even after a long time, they had not fully healed.

On that scarred back, however, there was a solemn and majestic outline engraved.

A pitch-black giant tree with nine branches, representing the nine great kingdoms. The sharp-edged branches intertwined in such a way that they formed a massive totem, seemingly encompassing the entire world.

The World Tree.

Evolved from Mimir’s Spring, a great miracle.

This is a symbol of all true knowledge in the world.

Noticing Huai Shi’s gaze, Luo Su just smiled indifferently and glanced at him: ”Nice physique, but a bit too pale. You should sunbathe more, or else borrow the sunbed from the teacher for a few days?”

”No, thank you.”

Huai Shi shook his head, feeling a bit melancholic.

Unless he found an Abyss Stylist to recondition him, he would remain a permanent white-named face, doomed never to tan.

Just as they were following the attendants, stepping out the door and ascending the stairs to the heights, a hoarse, impatient voice came from above.

”Too slow, Luo Su, I have been waiting for you for quite a while!”

At the highest platform, with a view that could oversee all the beauty, there was a spacious and grand bath pool.

The person speaking had his back to them, casually reaching out to take a cup of wine from the attendant’s tray, raising his head, and drinking it all in one go.

He looked about thirty or so, but his temples were already gray. His long hair draped over his shoulders, with water droplets still clinging to his face.

He sat there, completely bare, in the luxurious bath, with his arms casually draped over the edge. It was hard to imagine that he was the supreme ruler of Rome, the master of authority, the King of Genealogy, the most noble Emperor across the realm.

At this moment, he turned to look down at the two who arrived late, as if jesting: ”Daring to keep the Emperor waiting, it is indeed disrespect!”

His mouth spoke Latin, yet Huai Shi, from deep within his soul, heard the familiar voice of Dongxia in his ears.

Under those pitch-black eyes gazing at him, his heart instinctively tightened.

Even though there was no intent to kill or dislike, intuition kept sounding alarms, telling him that everything in the world was in this man’s hands.

Subconsciously, he tried to bury the fantasy of scrubbing scenes he had just conjured, even adding two more shovelfuls of dirt, wishing he could flatten it out.

If anyone knew, he feared he’d enjoy a VIP-class beheading right after the VIP-class bath.

But Luo Su calmly stepped forward, slightly bowing in salute, smiling as he responded: ”Thank you for your patience, Your Majesty, however, how could we not prepare more before meeting the Emperor?”

”Ha, whether you prepared more or are just fearing trouble, it doesn’t matter.” The Emperor shook his head casually: ”Since you won’t come to see me, I’ll just come to see you.”

As if treating the relocation of his palace to a military base in the Five Regularities Area as simply taking a morning stroll after breakfast, absolutely composed, and not the least bit surprised.

Instead, he spread his arms wide as if showing off, pointing at the palace before them, proudly asking: ”What do you think? Luo Su, isn’t my palace magnificent?”

”It’s one of a kind, indescribably beautiful.”

Luo Su nodded, genuinely admiring.

So Titus laughed, the solemn atmosphere vanished completely. He glanced at Huai Shi behind Luo Su and waved: ”No need to be reserved, enjoy at your leisure. There’s no hierarchy here, enjoying the moment is not to disappoint my hospitality.”

”Naturally, as it should be.”

Luo Su had already removed the towel, stepping into the pool, comfortably stretching his body, and lying down in the warm pool. Huai Shi’s eye twitched for a moment, getting into the water wasn’t an option, nor was staying out of it.

A bit awkwardly observing the two.

Then he noticed... Titus was also naked in the pool!

Recalling the long-standing, ambiguous habits and customs of Romans, he became a bit apprehensive. What if this Emperor, on a whim, covets his beauty and orders him to display his sword skills... what then!

Yet Titus, had already raised his eyes to look over once again, with a hint of a smirk.

”Oh? Young man, you seem to admire the Emperor’s noble form.” 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

The Emperor’s lips curled into a grin, gesturing for him to approach: ”If you wish to measure your prowess against the Emperor’s, then come forth! I grant you the honor to look upon it up close!

It is also an Emperor’s duty to teach the ignorant to take in majesty, hahahaha.”

Before he finished, he was already laughing to himself.

Clearly believing wholeheartedly in his victory.

Huai Shi couldn’t help but shrink back another step.

”Let’s just drop it...”

He waved his hand, coughing twice: ”Compared to Your Majesty, I’m insignificant.”

The leaders were merrily soaking in the bath, he wasn’t foolish enough to make any comparisons.

No good would come from winning or losing!

Consider it your win, okay...

”Indeed so!”

Seemingly appreciating Huai Shi’s ’self-awareness,’ Titus stroked his chin, commending: ”I like young people like you. If it weren’t for those boring fools at the Jurisdiction Bureau getting in the way, I’d have surely had you under my command.”

Stunned!

So he’d been under watch all along!

Huai Shi felt a chill on the back of his neck, suddenly a bit alarmed.

A crisis of chastity!
