Chapter 1190: Chapter 909: The Stars, My Final Home

Through the perception of the soul, Huai Shi noticed that distant Sky’s Command, operating above Tanbo in the current circumstances.

The current Great Priestess has already enveloped that city.

Like a guardian god.

Soon, he also noticed the existence of his Source Armament and where they currently reside. Like blessings and empowerment, they guard those souls.

But that is also a part of his own soul.

What is this supposed to be...?

Am I giving myself to myself?

Suddenly, he faced the result of being divided into five parts, which was a bit too thrilling, and he couldn’t quite process it.

Moreover...

Huai Shi turned around, eyes wide, speechless:

”...Why did you take so much?”

Tong Ji, with no shame, puffed her chest and solemnly retorted, ”Of course, it’s because Sister Crow has a lot of pressure. Naturally, Sister Crow should take more!”

”Alright then...”

”Do you still remember the essence of the Heavenly Inquiry Route?” Tong Ji suddenly asked.

”You mean, ’sharing’?” Huai Shi asked.

”Exactly, now you have shared all your power, Huai Shi, but have you become weaker?” Tong Ji asked, ”On the contrary, you have become stronger, standing on a higher starting point.

It’s not just about giving on your part but also the heartfelt feedback from those you’ve helped.

To some extent, this already touches upon the authority of gods. This is the true ’United as One,’ even if there are the same mystic rituals and treatments, no other Sublimator on the Heavenly Inquiry Route can achieve this besides you.”

She reached out, placing her hand on Huai Shi’s shoulder, telling him, ”You must remember where your power comes from.”

”You mean... the people I protected?” Huai Shi vaguely understood.

”No, what are you thinking?”

Tong Ji shook her head, bent down, pointed to her face seriously, and said naturally, ”Of course it comes from big sister me! So what’s wrong with me taking a little more?”

Huai Shi was left speechless.

And began to sincerely reflect: There must be something wrong with myself for having expectations of this woman...

.

After repeatedly ensuring there were no problems with himself, Helios, and that the Broken Dog of friendship also successfully returned to the current circumstance without issues, Huai Shi went to see the other surviving Alchemists and promised to send them back.

Then, he found out that Iz Hektor was no longer there.

Somehow, they had left first.

Presumably, they went to report back to their god.

In the end, he met the Egyptian priestess Emara.

”It seems you’ve got what you wanted.”

The priestess’s eyes were cloudy, her gaze passed through Huai Shi as if seeing something, ”But seeing you safe is truly wonderful.”

”Thank you for your kind words.”

Huai Shi smiled bitterly, not saying much more.

Indeed, he gained a lot and lost everything he had obtained, including friends he had just made.

Does this count as the prophecy coming true?

He did not know.

After the farewell, Huai Shi sat alone in Helios’s bridge, looking at the empty surroundings, and after a long while, softly asked, ”So, Balder, is he really dead?”

”Maybe it’s more like liberation?”

Tong Ji answered calmly, ”Long ago, Odin foresaw his son’s death and schemed everything for him, even went against the contract set by his own transformation with the current circumstance’s axis, the World Tree, using prophecy to interfere with fate, saying he would resurrect after the twilight of the gods, leading humanity to rebuild a beautiful world.

As a result, not only did it change the Nordic gods’ twilight ending, but also kept his son wandering between life and death in this world for so many years... Now, the prophecy indeed came true, in the best way.

He gave all his gifts to the current circumstance, providing a vast amount of correction value, and he could finally rest in peace with his beloved without disturbance.”

”This is the best outcome; Huai Shi, this is thanks to your efforts and influence, and it is also the result he chose. You don’t have to be sad.”

She said, ”Besides, didn’t he leave you a gift?”

At Huai Shi’s fingertips, a faint light appeared.

It was his Source Substance.

The pure light flowing from his soul.

This is Balder’s legacy and gift to Huai Shi, a sincere blessing from the Light King, giving hope without reservation or demand, entrusting it in the hands of his friend.

He hasn’t even reached the Fourth Stage, yet he was given a divine change.

Among all Source Material Transformations, still one of the highest-level [Deity Quality Change · Light]!

Not to mention the various effects brought by this soul blessing, all things will become more amiable to him, just like being close to Balder.

As long as he doesn’t change his sublimation path, the road to the Fifth Stage is almost wide open!

In silence, Huai Shi couldn’t help but shake his head and said nothing more.

”Hmm? What are you thinking about?”

Tong Ji curiously bent down, examining his face, ”You look so deep in thought.”

”Thinking about random things.”

He held the tumbling little white mouse in his hand, softly sighing, ”Though parting after meeting is commonplace, I still miss him.”

”Missing friends who are far away, isn’t that just natural?” Tong Ji smiled, ruffling his hair with appreciation, ”You truly are the best friend, Huai Shi.”
