Chapter 1177: Chapter 900: Hyperion

Now, the final part of fate descends!

At the moment Publius lost his divine power, Huai Shi felt a tangible killing intent.

From Publius, no, from the God.

The heavens unleash a killing intent, altering stars and shifting constellations!

At this moment, above his head, the darkness of the cosmos seemed to descend with the stars, an invisible and intangible force pressing heavily on Huai Shi’s soul.

Almost enough to cause his consciousness to collapse.

In the palm of Publius, the swirling vortex of flames burned even more fiercely, aimed at Huai Shi, the endless glow surrounding it, rendering death both exquisite and splendid.

”You are indeed the anomaly He Di spoke of, Huai Shi.”

The God high in the sky looked down, gazing at the ants below: ”Therefore, I will spare no effort to utterly eliminate you!”

On the cracked earth, Huai Shi gasped for breath, clenching Seishui, maintaining his composure against the terrifying pressure.

Yet he couldn’t even stand up.

Almost being pressed into the ground by that tangible pressure!

There’s simply no resisting it.

Only sensing an unending crisis of death emerging from his heart.

Sweat dripped profusely.

When that small, red vortex, about the size of a ping-pong ball, aimed at him, he felt a visceral helplessness and trembling.

Uncontrollable.

That level of firepower, already comparable to a massive thunderstorm disaster encapsulating an entire city, even if he exhausted all his strength in defense, everything would evaporate upon contact, right?

Yet, he didn’t feel afraid.

”Do you know, Publius—”

At that moment, Huai Shi raised his neck with effort, gazing at the figure above him, suddenly sneering: ”Even burdened with the Town of Dusk, holding the Eternal Frozen Heart with one hand, I, Huai Shi, am still invincible against Helios!”

???

In the brief pause, Publius was stunned in midair, unable to comprehend, feeling a deep sense of absurdity and mockery.

Finding it laughable to go all out against such an opponent!

Is this the King of Tanbo?

Is this the Astronomical Society’s proudest executioner? Is this Mikhail’s most beloved catalyst? Is this the culprit of disrupting my Ritual of God Making?

”Simply... inexplicable!”

He coldly clenched his fist, ”What nonsense are you trying to say!”

In that moment, as his fingers closed, an indescribable fury shattered the flame storm, expanding, turning into an overwhelming blaze upon the God’s wrath, falling towards the earth, enveloping everything!

Destruction descended from the sky!

Illuminating Huai Shi’s eyes.

In that instant, Huai Shi took a deep breath, making the most correct decision since stepping onto Helios.

Striving, roaring with all his might.

Calling out into the distance.

”—Skeleton, save me!!!!”

Then, a reassuring voice rang softly in his ear.

In the boiling water tank, the King of Light silently raised his new eyes.

”Okay, A-Dog.”

He said, ”I’m here to save you.”

Thus, King of Light, Baldur descends!

Immediately, Huai Shi is engulfed by the searing crimson gale!

The mighty pillar of fire almost penetrated Helios from top to bottom, leaving a straight scar visible even from the Current Circumstances.

Yet Huai Shi remained unscathed.

Floating in midair, dumbfounded at the thin sheen of light covering his body, like a soap bubble enveloping him.

Rendering all disasters incapable of harming him.

Above his head appeared a flickering phantom resembling a torch.

A chibi skull head with golden Mohican hair!

As if a character from some MOBA game!

”What is this, so awesome?”

Huai Shi excitedly eyed the membrane of light around him, feeling as if he’d entered an invincible state, with unprecedented peace of mind: ”Truly amazing!”

”This is my... mother, my real mother, the blessing she left me.” At this, the expression on the chibi skull’s face grew complex: ”Don’t rely on it too much, or you might encounter unexpected disasters.”

Soon, Huai Shi found an unfamiliar annotation written in gilded rune letters inside the status bar on the front page of the Book of Fate.

[Invulnerable]: All things in the world promise not to harm you, with exceptions of the Parasitic Galla and creations born after 192 AD.

Huai Shi was dumbfounded: ”Incredible! Forget about the Parasitic Galla, but why exempt things after 192 AD! No matter how strong Viking skills are, they can’t surpass modern gunfire!”

The skull’s tone became increasingly complex: ”Maybe because... that’s when I died.”

”...”

Huai Shi was at a loss for words.

And above the sky, the killing intent from Publius became increasingly sinister.

”...Baldur, is that so?”

He muttered, realizing, a fissured face filled with a murderous aura.

When the Sun God’s authority was split in two, now Helios welcomed two completely different Sun Gods.

The incomplete Publius, and the missing Baldur!

Like a cream cake sliced in two, the left side turned into a fruit filling, while the right became dark chocolate, starkly opposing.

Even without understanding what happened, upon sensing the presence of the other, the realization strikes, their identical essence, and the irreconcilable reality!

The once complete divine state solely belonging to Publius—the Sun God’s Divine Position—was forcibly split by Garand.

The result is just two incomplete fragments!

A fragmented soul and a fragmented god!

One has only reclaimed the divine soul, the other has only obtained the divine body.

All are just half-finished products!

.

”Poor silly kid.”

In the temple, Tong Ji looked down with sympathy, ”Look at that expression, it’s like finally receiving the admission letter from Dongxia University after bitter struggle, only for the postman to snatch the letter back...”

Sorry, wrong delivery, you haven’t been accepted.

It’s for the neighbor.

At this moment, Publius is no longer the Sun God, not even a true god.

Without the divine soul, there is no possibility of wielding the power of Sky’s Command.

Just like a mortal civil servant suddenly losing their position and becoming a contractor, they can no longer be called a god, at best, nothing more than a Titan fooled by Olympus to work for free back in the day.

”Suddenly, that reminds me.”

Tong Ji suddenly turned her head and looked at Zeus, ”What was the name of that driver you assigned to Helios back then? The one who died particularly terribly, I remember him quite vividly, I think it was...”

She thought for a moment, then laughed:

”...Hyperion?”

.

At that moment, Publius raised his hand, covering his cracked face, feeling the deep pain from the soul.

It was the humiliation and mockery from fate.

No matter how many sacrifices you make, you are destined not to attain immortality.

Ultimately, all are just dust.

Dust.

”You damned... reviving corpses...” he gritted his teeth, revealing a scarlet eye between his fingers, ”Don’t tell me I haven’t paid enough of a price?”

Do you have to... stop me!”

Enough!

Enough!!

He has had enough of all this.

It’s time to end it.

The enemy is the resurrected Balder, the divine soul of a god, the former King of Light, and since this is so, then deploy Demeter’s domain combined with the miracle of the Goddess of Spring.

The base material is the Daffodil Curse of ’Narcissus’, trace it up, trace, trace up—

And then, infinite emerald green gathers and transforms into a long blade.

In an instant, Publius completed the recreation of the Parasitic Spear of Galla within his palm!

As a Great Grandmaster, intentionally attacking the enemy’s weaknesses is naturally a straightforward task. Moreover, after acquiring the divine body, it’s merely a matter of thought.

At this moment, Publius is undoubtedly the strongest Great Grandmaster in history, even more akin to the essence than the once near-divine ’Rodan’!

”—Die!”

Instantly, the blade of the parasitic spear whistled towards, moving far too quickly for Huai Shi to react.

All he could do was follow the Death Perception instinctively, tilting his head slightly.

Immediately after, he felt a terrifying wind pressure brushing past.

The long spear capable of slaying gods grazed his arm, piercing Helios, penetrating the Demon’s Eye of Jupiter in the distance, swallowed by the eternal storm, and then quickly spread, turning into an indelible green mildew blotch.

Even observable from space!

Yet Huai Shi can no longer feel his right arm.

Just a slight graze, not even bleeding, no harm whatsoever!

Horror rises in his heart, Huai Shi involuntarily gasps, yelling up at the skeleton, ”Hurry up and get him! He’s the one who usurped your divine position, kill him and we’ll be the first and second Sun, even the Broken Dog can be the General, wouldn’t that be great!”

”...The issue is, I can’t take him down.”

Balder’s skeleton reveals a bitter smile, ”The protection of harmlessness comes as a gift from Mother, requiring no power from me, but aside from that, I have no power left to wield, A-Dog.”

”Stop calling me A-Dog at a time like this!!!”

Huai Shi is about to cry in anger.

Why do both of you only have flashy effects, yet are so unreliable!

Are you here to torment me as a special effects team?

But there’s no way, only Balder’s soul has been revived, lacking divine power, lacking authority, and furthermore... Balder’s own authority has none that are offensive.

It’s quite embarrassing to say, but as the sole healer among the Asa Gods, he... hasn’t even allocated points to a single offensive skill.

In the days when his divine body was still intact, he once wielded the battle axe fighting alongside his father and brothers on the front line, but his family was one better at fighting than the other, so there was no need for him to burn his Viking soul, just make some noise on the side.

”What do we do then?” Huai Shi was dumbstruck.

The exchanges between the source substances on both sides only took a moment, yet in the sky, around Publius, countless green lights resembling stars had appeared.

These were just simple copying and pasting, a result easy to reproduce for a Great Grandmaster.

In the end, it formed... countless Parasitic Spears of Galla!

”For now, you are the only option.” Balder helplessly said, ”I have one last method, but the pressure on you might be a bit...”

”Never mind about pressure, if it works, use it quickly!” Huai Shi was dying of urgency, ”At this point, what pressure is there to be afraid of, do you think my Tenth Level Anti-Pressure account is for nothing!”

”You said it...”

”Why does this sound familiar somehow?”

Huai Shi scratched his head, suddenly having a sense of familiar trap coming to mind.

But, it’s too late.

At that moment, Balder’s skull descended, with the divine soul merging into Huai Shi’s shell.

Carrying innate divine authority and an intent sufficient to illuminate the land and ignite all darkness, it entered Huai Shi’s body, gripping the miracle of the Great Priestess, and then, following the veins of Stigma, reached into the soul and consciousness of Huai Shi.

The two connected into one—

Balder took initiative to withdraw all his consciousness and emotions, unfolding all permissions, sharing this noble soul of divinity with Huai Shi.

At that moment, Huai Shi transformed into light!
