Chapter 1115: Chapter 858: Discworld (Part 2)

”Since that’s the case...”

In the brief silence, Hercules pondered for a moment, as if he had made up his mind.

Huai Shi shuddered in place, fearing that he really would call reinforcements!

Afraid that with one whistle from Hercules, a dozen giants as powerful as him would descend from the sky. After all, the Argo had thirty to forty famous heroes onboard, not counting those with identical names!

But soon, he saw.

Hercules finally put away his longbow—

Huai Shi couldn’t even breathe a sigh of relief before he saw him drawing the shield engraved with monsters and mountains and seas and pulling out the dagger from his waist. On the entwined bronze double-snake hilt, a golden light shone from the snake’s eyes’ gemstone.

Just like that, he raised the shield, armed with the dagger, and, ignoring the threat of the Element of Destructive, stepped forward!

Straight towards Huai Shi!

At that moment, Huai Shi felt the roaring outburst between them.

Like the sky dome and the earth were howling.

”—Hah!”

It was a high-pitched battle cry from the demigod hero, a declaration of war that overshadowed the tremors of the earth and the space-breaking clamor.

Huai Shi instinctively wanted to retreat, but then, he saw a massive shadow appear in front of him.

The three-kilometer distance was crossed in an instant!

The massive shadow enveloped Huai Shi’s face. Raising his right hand, Huai Shi’s pupils contracted instantaneously.

In that instant, he collected the pulse, heartbeat, and even the resonance of the source substance, briefly connecting with the pulsation of the earth underfoot, as if becoming one.

He raised the skeleton to meet the descending dagger.

Extreme Intent · Symphony!

The roaring outburst swept forth.

The skeleton trembled, the terrifying vibrance and the whirlwind like a high-pressure water knife stripping away the burns and ashes on its body.

Not a single scratch, worthy of a Great Grandmaster!

But Huai Shi’s spacesuit shook again, tearing open several large gashes, blood seeping from half of his body, severely battered by the decisive strike, leaving him breathless.

His mind buzzed, countless swirling plans and thoughts shattered by that terrifying blow, leaving only ineffable shock.

The only thought continued to spiral, bringing unspeakable horror.

This is Hercules?!

No, not just!

Because the Hercules before Huai Shi vanished again, the extreme intent told him the opponent had reappeared behind him, the dagger slashing down, aimed at his... neck!

Decapitation!

Without hesitation, ignoring the dark injuries on his muscles and bones, Huai Shi drew his Resentment Water backward, activating the flowing blood, lightning bursting forth!

The protective shield of flowing blood was shattered as if splitting bamboo, then slashing onto the Resentment Water, collapsing its stance, pressing Resentment Water against Huai Shi’s neck.

Had the material of Resentment Water not been strong enough, it would have been a blade severing Resentment Water and then Huai Shi’s head!

Huai Shi’s vision turned black, feeling his neck about to break.

Then, the earth roared.

Countless cracks spread under that blow, extending several hundred meters, while the heels of Huai Shi had already been driven into the ground like nails, impossible to extract!

This is the power of Symphony!

Diverting most of the force through the flowing blood, channeling it into the graveyard beneath his feet.

But before Huai Shi could catch his breath, Hercules behind him disappeared again.

Appearing unguarded, right in front of Huai Shi!

Again?

Huai Shi was stunned.

How did you do that?!

The dagger whistled forward like mercury flowing, leaving a glorious and dazzling iron light cutting through the air, stretching straight ahead.

At the critical moment, a huge wolfhound emerged from the shadows.

Having hidden in darkness for a long time, it suddenly attacked, its mouth opening, neck extending, fiercely biting into Hercules’ arm, sparks flying between teeth and arm armor, cracks appearing on its deadly fangs.

The armor forged by the Fire God was incomparably hard, though devoid of divine nature or blessings from Gods.

But it did not let go.

Firmly clamping down on Hercules’ attack.

The change was sudden, yet Hercules’ resolute expression didn’t alter; the instant the dagger was clamped down, he lifted his leg and fiercely kicked Huai Shi’s defense.

Power greater than a siege hammer burst forth in an instant.

Shooting both the skeleton serving as a shield and Huai Shi into the air, flying backwards like a cannonball, smashing through layers of tombstones, all the way back, carving a violent trench behind it, smashing into the shattered furnace core.

Countless smoke billowed up.

Huai Shi lay in ruins, coughing up large mouthfuls of blood, not knowing where the skeleton had flown off to.

And through the gradually dispersing smoke, a robust figure could be seen swinging its arm, overturning the entangled wolfhound, then stepping towards him.

Cold chills pervaded his body.

Death Perception screamed high.

But at that moment, recalling Hercules’ completely seamless, incomprehensible strikes, consecutively delivering three deadly attacks from three angles to the enemy...

”Extreme intent?”

He uttered out unconsciously.

”Hmm?”

In his advance, Hercules seemed puzzled, glanced at the dagger in his hand, then realized: ”Are you referring to that move just now... that’s ’Sacred Oath’ taught by my teacher. It seems you know similar techniques, huh? Such crude swordsmanship, a laughing stock.”

As though feeling deep regret.

To let a warrior fall dead, truly unfair!

Because he wasn’t in full state yet, this body couldn’t manifest the power of his prime, unable to reproduce the technique of simultaneously severing the nine heads of the Nine-headed Snake Hydra!
