Chapter 1104: Chapter 854: Fate

”What is happening here?”

Huai Shi looked at Tong Ji: ”An illusion?”

”If you had to say, it’s better to call it the remnants of obsession.” Tong Ji looked at the corpse on the ground with pity: ”The remnants of regret, just like the Stigmata Relic in your hand.

Helpless and resigned, only able to vainly lament when there’s no turning back. Filled with resentment, unable to find release, not even knowing whom to blame...”

She said, ”Truly pitiable.”

Bang!

The Resentment Water in Huai Shi’s hand resonated.

As if in anger, it emitted a thread of electric light.

Yet under Tong Ji’s downward gaze, it had no recourse, and quickly dissipated, leaving only silent resonance, like a desolate sigh.

The grudge against the Piper in the old man’s obsession cast a shadow over Huai Shi’s heart.

But what concerned him more was the information revealed by him.

Grandmaster Garland was born on Helios?

But according to Huai Shi’s knowledge, he clearly belonged to the pureblood ’Herman’ family, who inherited the title ’The Blessed One’!

Could it be that an alchemist of the Herman family was born on Helios?

Putting aside the likelihood of such a possibility, whether the Herman family would allow their lineage to be bound by Helios.

If true, then there are even more questions.

Everyone born on Helios is bound by the decree within their soul, how did he leave Helios?

If Huai Shi remembers correctly, Garland became a Grandmaster in the Current Circumstances, one hundred and twenty years ago.

Hidden so deeply yet left uncovered like this.

”Just the ramblings of a madman, may not be true.”

Tong Ji said, ”Besides, if Publius could escape the Astronomical Society’s prison, why couldn’t Garland do it?”

This makes it even stranger.

When Huai Shi thought carefully, he noticed an overlooked problem.

The death of Publius was confirmed before they left The Moon.

And the events on Helios proved that the death news was just a ruse by Publius.

Helios’s return to the Current Circumstances is a seventy-year cycle.

Which means that at least since seventy years ago, Publius has been on the Sun Chariot!

However many schemes, no matter how unspeakable his purposes, he had more than enough time.

Moreover, he was a Grandmaster...

He finally discovered the glaring point.

Huai Shi suddenly asked: ”If he wanted to act, he doesn’t need to choose a time, he could just hold the Mystic Ritual when Helios is farthest from the Current Circumstances, right?

Why bother going to Jupiter’s orbit?”

”Of course, because that’s also one of the requirements of the Mystic Ritual.”

Tong Ji chuckled: ”The God is a product and pillar of the Current Circumstances, it can’t be established in places too far from it... you know those who go to another country to have their babies, right? Children born in Myanmar don’t have Dongxia residency.”

Furthermore, the actual required conditions are even more complex than getting nationality by having a baby.

It must be within the Current Circumstances and the closer, the better, otherwise the conditions for God’s birth can’t be met. But it can’t be too close either, or the three major blockades would instantly wipe it out.

At the same time, it must also be close to Hell, otherwise it wouldn’t have the necessary conditions for Divine Sublimation, but it can’t enter Hell either — otherwise, it would be like delivering takeout to the Ranch Owner.

After eliminating countless options through various weights and measures, only one choice remained — Jupiter’s orbit.

Within the Solar System projected by the Current Circumstances but independent outside, like standing on the border. Even the fastest response measures of the Astronomical Society would take at least fifteen minutes to reach here.

”But this still can’t rule out unexpected events.”

Huai Shi said: ”Though Helios is defunct, the system still sent out an invitation, which is why Garland boarded it.”

Tong Ji shook her head helplessly.

”Where in the world is there room to wait for a tenfold certainty before acting? A thirty percent chance is worth a try, fifty percent gives full confidence, and with eighty percent, it is the perfect moment.

Besides, in matters of god-creation, how could there be no risks at all?”

Tong Ji couldn’t hide her sarcasm: ”Whether success or failure, it’s all ’It’s’ Sky’s Command.”

”What do you mean?”

”This is perhaps the most tragic thing for the gods, Huai Shi,” she said meaningfully: ”Humans can still resist fate... but have you heard of a TV, air conditioner, or fridge saying: My fate is mine to decide, not the heavens?”

Everything is already predestined.

Everything is a part of fate.

For the gods, everything is so.

Even before this Sky’s Command is sublimated from Divine Nature, there was no longer any room for choice.

The closer you get, the deeper your understanding, the more you feel your powerlessness, and the inevitably tragic end.

Whether the fallen gods of the past, Helios, the Undorn God, or even Publius and Garland...

The closer you get to miracles, the more easily disaster swallows you. The closer to Sky’s Command, the more you comprehend its cruelty and terror.

Even Publius couldn’t stop it.

The existence of gods is too colossal.

Just their birth would cause chaos in Correction Values and Distortion Degrees.

Like an iron ball suddenly appearing on a spiderweb, it would surely cause a full-scale trigger.

The great storm arises from the end of a small swirl.

When the butterfly in South America has yet to flap its wings, the harbinger of a storm has already appeared.
