Chapter 1038: Chapter 804: A Blow to the Head

In the silence, Huai Shi didn’t rush to respond.

He just looked up at him.

Full of curiosity.

”But what’s the cost, Teacher Luo?” he asked seriously, ”This time you’re not even charging me, coming all the way here to deliver it, I’m a bit uneasy.”

”Would paying really put you at ease, Huai Shi?”

Luo Lao lowered his eyes to look at him, lacking his usual mockery and ridicule, instead looking confused: ”Do you really think what you’ve learned is worth ten thousand?”

From the start, he took advantage of the Orchard Gym.

Even tried to take the receptionist from the gym.

It was truly unforgivable.

Not just ten thousand, at other times, Luo Lao would give him a punch for a hundred thousand, where could he find such a good thing as Dragon to give him?

There are so many graduates from Orchard Gym, how many have achieved what Huai Shi has?

Although the old man was quite disdainful in words and indeed disdainful in practice, he still helped him hand in hand to sweep away accumulated issues, reconstruct foundations, and handed over all the secrets of Yu Step and Drummer, even if the rest had to be learned by himself, isn’t a master’s task to lead them to the door first?

The debt of gratitude is immense.

Now Luo Lao comes to say you come help with something, wouldn’t he diligently teach Huai Shi the extreme interpretation without Huai Shi devoting fully?

”Alright,” Huai Shi sighed, ”as long as it doesn’t violate the code of the rivers and lakes... well, violated but if nobody finds out, it’s fine, just leave me some conscience.”

”Then, deal?” Luo Lao asked.

”Deal.”

Huai Shi sighed, supporting his body as he tried to stand up.

Preparing to ask him how he would teach, whether this time there would be some new way to torment him, and how long it would take to learn how and what.

That’s when he saw the old man nodding upon receiving a response, raising his hand, waiting for him to stabilize, raising his hand aimed at his face.

With full force, a punch!

Indescribable pity and rage filled that face, not knowing whether it was joy or anger, solemn coldness or mercy. Even the bulging muscles all over became indescribably majestic.

The broken halo swiftly vanished behind him.

Echoing him like a God.

Just like that, aimed at his face, not waiting for him to react, the fist already hit his face.

Pushing him into the wall, unable to be pried off.

Again?

In Huai Shi’s mind, there was only time for one thought before feeling the surging source substance flooding into his lungs with that blow, suddenly spreading, storming wave, exploding!

He felt like he was going to split, split, split, split open...

Boom!

Blacked out, once again slipping into third-person view.

Detached from the body, falling into the depths of darkness.

In the last moment, he only saw Luo Lao’s figure, not the robust and aged flesh body, but the fierce appearance with burning blood flames and three heads and eight arms.

Holding Treasure Vase, holding Treasure Sword, holding Vajra Pestle, holding Gold Bell...

Although so fierce, yet possessing thirty-two features, filling the universe, mastering Qian and Kun.

The mighty thunder roared from the deepest part of his soul, transformed into solemn praise like countless overlapping voices.

”Those who see my body will awaken the Bodhi mind, those who hear my name will sever evil and cultivate good, those who hear my teachings will gain great wisdom, those who know my heart will become Buddhas instantly!”

This is, a startling revelation!

Huai Shi, finally split open.

.

.

Deathly silence, deathly silence, deathly silence.

In the prolonged silence, Luo Lao slowly withdrew his fist, took a deep breath, a rumbling sound from his stomach, starving again.

Clearly a huge consumption.

Such a nearly forceful advancement method is only used for people like Huai Shi who are a step away from breakthrough, otherwise, others wouldn’t just withstand it; they would probably have their soul annihilated on the spot.

”Alright, he’ll probably sleep for about half a month, let him stay there, best not interfere, seal the basement, don’t let anyone enter.”

Luo Lao shook the sweat off his body, turned back to Raymond, and his phone in hand, extending his hand.

Raymond hurriedly bowed to present the phone.

Letting him clenching his five fingers randomly, crushed it, turning it into dust, only praying this old monster doesn’t think someone spied on his household’s secret and must squeeze him to death.

”Did you understand?” Luo Lao casually asked.

”No... didn’t understand,” Raymond wiped his cold sweat.

”Oh, didn’t understand but still pay, one million US Dollar, a penny less and I’ll go after your teacher,” Luo Lao glanced at him, turned back to Yuan Yuan, ”And you?”

”...Didn’t understand,” Yuan Yuan shook his head.

Luo Lao looked at Lin Nineteen, Lin Nineteen shivered, also nodded, ”Didn’t understand even a bit!”

Three guys.

One pretends not to understand while actually knowing, one understood a bit but modestly claims not, only the last one was most honest, truly didn’t understand at all.

Anyway, he didn’t mind, learn as much as one can, witnessing this punch, future breakthrough of extreme interpretation counts as some help.

”How did Huai Shi teach you?” Luo Lao asked.

Yuan Yuan said, ”Practicing music and swordsmanship.”

Lin Nineteen showed a helpless expression: ”Cooking and working...”

”Knows how to teach according to ability, a worthy teacher.”

Luo Lao nodded, looked at the two again, waved his hand and said, ”Your teacher is resting for half a month, during this time I’ll substitute.

Don’t practice music, as for those gangs, leaving them alone is fine, I’ll first rebuild your two foundations. Don’t be eliminated by the old immortals in Hell in the future.”

Yuan Yuan opened his mouth to speak, but ultimately didn’t object.

Little Nineteen nodded like pounding garlic.

One felt the opportunity was rare, and practicing the piano could be made up later; the other simply didn’t dare to oppose.

”No objections?” Luo Lao asked.

”None, none!” Lin Nineteen quickly said, ”We both raise hands and feet to support!”

”Oh.”

The old man nodded; he didn’t expect things to go so smoothly. After pondering for a moment, he pulled something out of his pants pocket like magic, shook it, and handed it to the two.

”What’s this?” Lin Nineteen rubbed his eyes, confused.

”A POS machine — you don’t recognize this?”

The old man widened his eyes, saying seriously: ”Don’t try to follow your scoundrel teacher’s freebies... Everyone get a card first!”

.

.

Huai Shi felt like the old man had blown him up.

Consciousness fragmented.

It seemed as if he had become a vegetative state, cast into darkness, rapidly shattered, split into fours, sixes, sevens, eights... until all his consciousness crumbled into dust-like fine crystals.

Pushed to the brink of destruction—

But when his consciousness was about to be completely annihilated, the force dissipated, leaving him on the brink, arduously returning.

Gradually consolidating, consciousness connected once more.

But before he finally became whole, that force hidden within his consciousness erupted again, tearing him apart, scattering into countless fragments of dust, diffusing.

As he was about to completely lose consciousness again, his instincts allowed his soul to gather once more.

Then, shatter again!

It was like endless torture, constantly pushing him to the edge of a cliff, a thread away from annihilation of consciousness, yet coldly letting him crawl back.

Then, push him down again...

Just like the never-ending Sisyphean task.

Eternal repetition.

Constantly fragmenting consciousness without damaging the soul, only letting him cycle endlessly through torment, over and over. It seemed as if they wanted to chop him into the smallest structures, ruthlessly extracting everything from them.

Amidst the phantom sound of a boom, he reached collapse, but within the nonexistent subtle echoes, he once again completed consolidation.

Splintered and reformed.

Even his thoughts became intermittent, hard to connect, even fragmented, jumping constantly between past memories and illusory scenes.

In the end, even memories and hallucinations no longer appeared.

Huai Shi gave up on thinking.

A distant echo came to his ears.

It was the roar of collapsing consciousness and the faint sound it made upon re-consolidation, so distant in between.

But gradually, the intervals between them became closer and closer, until finally, it seemed to meld into one, transforming into endless tidal waves.

Coming, going.

Nearing, distant.

Beginning, ending.

Snap, boom... snap, boom...

Forming the most basic two-four time, seemingly endless.

But it’s always like this, far too monotonous, there has to be change.

Huai Shi thought so.

Thus, a new beat must be added.

For a moment, a brand new sound burst from the dispersing and gathering of the soul, inserted into the original rhythm, and granted it new variations once again.

Strong, weak, secondary strong, weak...

Now it’s four-four time—

So, how about adding a bit of new change again? Something new, breaking the old cycle and bringing new variables...

As a result, a brand-new rhythm resounded again amidst the four-four beat interlude.

Huai Shi found himself beginning to adapt to such changes; whether he liked it or not was uncertain, but he couldn’t help but immerse himself in it.

Unaware of the passage of time.

Forgetting the years.

Just immersed in this pure rhythm, letting his soul resound with it, every part, every fine component, every part belonging to Huai Shi.

Memories, thoughts, obsessions, pursuits, and wishes.

Each new element added caused the increasingly complex rhythm to undergo new changes.

Following that, pain, pity, sorrow, anger, grudge... countless Source Substance collisions, erupting into contrasting sound colors, adhering to the rhythm’s skeleton like flesh and blood, causing scattered echoes in the silent darkness.

Fragmenting, consolidating, beginning, ending.

Thus cycling, thus growing, thus transforming.

Uncertain how long had passed.

Until finally, majestic waves emerged from the depths of the soul, at this moment, harmonizing all rhythms and overtone comprehensively, covering, controlling.

Evolving.

Finally, transforming into a grand resonance!

—Symphony!

At this moment, the fragmented consciousness rejoined as one, like a musical movement, seamlessly integrating into a complete whole. When the force hidden in the darkness erupted again, the waves formed could no longer interfere with Huai Shi’s consciousness.

Like a gentle breeze on the face.

Just the operation of consciousness made it dissipate into darkness, never to be seen again.

Huai Shi opened his eyes.

Returning to the world.
