Chapter 1017: Chapter 789: Good News

”...”

Huai Shi’s eye twitched: ”Then why do I need your technology now? I’m already in the Existence Institute’s private seat, aren’t I?!”

”That’s good news, Huai Shi.”

Shah clapped his hands: ”According to our observations, in your Ruins, those cells of the Eternal Beast have already lost the ability to spread and propagate, due to the Great Priestess’s extinction. So you don’t need to stay in our private seat anymore. After another two days of observation, you’ll be fitted with a monitoring device and can wander freely.”

”Alright...”

Huai Shi’s expression twitched, feeling like he was transitioning from prison to house arrest with an ankle bracelet.

”Anything else?” Huai Shi asked.

”Of course, a lot.”

Shah glanced at the final conclusion and told him: ”Your Stigma situation is quite severe, even your Soul’s state is a bit unstable. For the next four months to half a year, it’s best not to use your Stigma. Given the confidentiality of the Eternal Beast cells in the Ruins, you can’t seek an Abyss Stylist for repairs, only wait for it to heal naturally.”

”According to calculations, in about three years, the Divine Nature of the Great Priestess will have completely eradicated all the cells in the Ruins. At that time, you’ll gain a lot of vitality for free. How about that? This deal isn’t bad, right?”

Huai Shi’s eye started twitching madly.

So those Eternal Beast cells need to stay in his Ruins for three more years?

”Isn’t there any other way?”

”Yes, our Existence Institute has an experimental technology that can blow up your Ruins entirely—no more Ruins, no more Great Priestess, and you’re free.”

”...Pretend I didn’t ask.”

”Right! It’s just three years, what’s there to fear? You’re only eighteen.”

Shah patted his shoulder in encouragement: ”Three years, endure!”

”...”

”Oh, and there’s good news from Luo Su, which he asked me to pass on to you.”

Shah said, ”Thanks to your actions within the Tanbo Inner Circle, at the recent Astronomical Society’s temporary meeting, he argued your case, and in the name of the Ivory Tower, he secured a plot of land for you.”

”Land?”

”Yes.” Shah nodded, suddenly dropping explosive news on him: ”Now, the entire Tanbo Inner Circle has been assigned to you.”

Huai Shi listened, stunned for a long time, even longer, still stunned, then couldn’t help but scream:

”What the heck?!!!”

”Just, Tanbo Inner Circle, given to you.”

Shah shrugged: ”Nominally, it’s the Ivory Tower’s Current Circumstances campus, but practically, whether in terms of personnel, finance, or administration, it’s essentially independent. Under your management, let me check.”

He pulled out his phone to take a look: ”Now you’re also the manager of the Ivory Tower’s Current Circumstances campus. In the next three years, don’t worry about having nothing to do.

Are you surprised, unexpected, happy?”

Huai Shi’s expression stiffened, feeling somehow like he had been set up.

Tanbo Inner Circle, such a large place, belongs to him?

”It seems Luo Su is determined to intervene in Current Circumstances affairs.”

Shah sighed: ”This is actually the Ivory Tower’s first campus in Current Circumstances, so you’ll likely face significant pressure. But achieving success and fame at such a young age, that’s wonderful.

I’ve heard Super World Ambition is going to issue you a gold card. Can you send me a signed version when it’s ready?”

”...”

Huai Shi was already numb, still not able to comprehend it.

In a blink of an eye, how did he, an undercover agent, become the boss of Tanbo Inner Circle? Isn’t something off? Is there a problem with you, Astronomical Society?

”In any case, you don’t need to worry about those matters.”

Shah said: ”Based on records obtained from Tanbo Inner Circle, Matsumoto’s solo negative-strand RNA virus outcome has further advanced. In about another half month, the new medication co-developed by the Existence Institute and Ivory Tower will enter clinical trials.

A special drug researched for the two most common complications of Beastified Characteristic Beings, other complications are also in follow-up development plans. Although the Abyss corrosion in Beastified Characteristic Beings still remains incurable, at least they can live like ordinary people... It’s all thanks to your actions, Huai Shi.”

Shah said, ”As a token of gratitude, Matsumoto has transferred all his shares to you, hoping you won’t refuse.”

”Me?” Huai Shi was puzzled.

”Yes, you accepted his request, didn’t you?”

Shah said: ”You saved him, Huai Shi. Without your help, Matsumoto might have already taken his own life in shame... Thanks for saving my student.

Even though the pricing of the medication at the time will make it impossible to earn much, he has no estate, and the only thing he can offer is this.”

”I...”

Huai Shi was silent for a long time: ”What should I do?”

He could see the expectations Luo Su and Matsumoto had for him.

The future of Tanbo Inner Circle will likely take on a new look, right?

With himself as the controller, backed by the Ivory Tower, and equipped with new special medication.

Combining prestige, order, and life health, Tanbo Inner Circle can seize the opportunity to rid itself of past shadows and gradually clean the dust and grime away, welcoming a new future.

Not just that, if Huai Shi can really transform Tanbo Inner Circle into a place where all Beastified Characteristic Beings are treated equally, it will become a paradise sought after by all Beastified Characteristic Beings.
