Chapter 931: Chapter 739: Conversation_2

He suddenly felt that this kind of thing is quite similar to idol management!

At the end of the day, it’s about getting a lot of loyal fans, treating casual fans well, and trying to have fewer people who dislike you... this way you can build popularity, sell more new albums and handshake tickets.

Of course, more importantly, dealing with the haters who infiltrate the organization.

For example, the spies sent by other gangs, the undercover agents in the Angry Luo Group who don’t give up on backstabbing, and... the Second fifth.

Didn’t expect that he just showed up for two days, and the Iron King Party already has plans for him.

After signing the report, Huai Shi put down the document and studied Ushijima in front of him, the strange smile making Ushijima’s expression gradually rigid.

It gave him the illusion that he seemed to have been seen through.

Finally, Huai Shi picked up the glass, took a sip, and asked, ”Ushijima Qin, that’s your name, right?”

”Y-yes!” Ushijima answered loudly.

”No need to be nervous, don’t be afraid, we’re just here for a casual chat today.” Huai Shi waved his hand, smiling, and asked some mundane questions like how old the young man is, how many people are in the family, whether the holiday groceries are enough, and if there’s anything that needs help from the gang...

The reassurance seemed effective, Ushijima’s demeanor gradually relaxed, responding smoothly, drinking the wine handed over by Huai Shi one sip at a time.

Until the atmosphere was adequately set, with the effects of the drug beginning to take hold, Huai Shi finally spoke with a smile, ”By the way, how do you feel about the Huaizhi Gang?”

”Of course it’s... cough cough, very good, very nice!”

Ushijima’s expression stiffened a bit, loosened his collar, coughed twice, almost letting the truth slip out: ”The predecessors all take good care of me, the salary and shares are quite nice...”

Though, the internal atmosphere is just too foolish! Have you really done management? This is too problematic, isn’t it? Does everyone actually have brains? You don’t even vet new members, what if someone like me, a Second fifth, sneaks in? And I turned into a close confidant after only working for three days, couldn’t you pay a bit more attention?

He had so much criticism that he couldn’t express, making his face turn redder under the influence of alcohol, but fortunately, he held back.

”Hahaha, Ushijima-kun really doesn’t seem like someone on the Extreme Path,” Huai Shi lamented.

Ushijima was perplexed, touching his dyed yellow hair, tattoos, and various random street-style decorations, not understanding why Huai Shi said that.

”Ah, perhaps it’s because you smile so bashfully?” Huai Shi shrugged, ”The other guys aren’t like you, they can hardly say three words without cursing, occasionally saying something chilly to me... but Ushijima-kun hasn’t used any foul language from start to finish, that’s great, truly great, keep it up, we do have cultured people in our gang!”

Huai Shi’s unabashed praise made Ushijima feel embarrassed, and hearing his words, he first felt not relaxed but rather an indescribable melancholy.

”Although using foul language is normal within the Extreme Path, it’s not something that highlights masculinity, Ushijima-kun, you needn’t be ashamed.” Huai Shi took another sip of wine and continued, ”I just wish everyone in the gang had a bit of culture, hey, Ushijima-kun, do you have any aspirations?”

”Ah?” Ushijima was puzzled.

”Like, things you want to do, dreams, wishes, anything.” Huai Shi said carelessly, ”It’s just casual chatting, I’ll start with mine, hmm, I want to live a happy life!”

What a foolish wish, being a boss isn’t happy enough? You can earn so much money, why not go have fun with several women! Also, such childish wishes are something only kids have, isn’t this person abnormal?

Chaotic thoughts arose in Ushijima’s head, but under the gaze of those eyes, his mouth couldn’t help but move a bit.

He reckoned he must be drunk.

”...If we’re talking about wishes.” He mumbled for a while, and then said softly, ”It would be nice to continue studying.”

Speaking out a foolish wish that even he wanted to laugh at.

A hybrid from Tanbo Inner Circle, wanting to go to school...

But surprisingly, Huai Shi didn’t mock him, instead pinched his chin, pondered deeply as if truly considering it, ”Going to school, that’s a bit troublesome, huh.”

”Uh, it’s just offhanded...”

”Mainly because you’re too old, hard to arrange,” Huai Shi tapped the table, getting serious, ”Online courses are quite abundant now, why not check them out, Ushijima-kun?”

”...”

This guy is insane.

Ushijima was dumbfounded for a long time, awkwardly laughed, ”It’s just a casual remark, after all, I’m already this age.”

”But learning doesn’t discriminate by age,” Huai Shi shrugged, ”How about this, Ushijima-kun, if you want to learn something, why not tell me? To be honest, I know a lot of teachers.”

”Actually, there’s nothing I want to learn,” Ushijima wanted to drop the topic, but mysteriously, his mouth moved again, ”If it’s painfully boring, learning a bit of Latin would be nice, right?”

Ah, Xiao Qin, you’ve learned so fast, memorized all the letters, you might be a genius at learning Latin.

Once again he recalled the words from memory, leaving him stunned.
