Chapter 910: Chapter 727: Pharisee

What the hell?

Huai Shi was taken aback, but fortunately, Lawrence had mentioned this to him before, so he could still maintain some disguise.

Not just him, all other insiders struggled to hide their shock at that moment.

”God City?”

Arakawa shouted loudly: ”Tobio, are you serious? Even the president wouldn’t speak nonsense about something like this!”

It seemed like a rebuke, but in reality, it was playing along with Tobio. On any other day, Arakawa might have maintained his rash persona, but now, shaken, he was eager to know the truth.

”If I dared to say it, then I must be sure.”

Tobio answered calmly, ”Hisashiga-kun, am I right?”

Hisashiga’s expression darkened, struggling to control the twitching at the corners of his eyes: ”What are you talking about? Even the general president can’t frame me like this!”

”Still won’t admit it? Such deep scheming, Hisashiga-kun.” Tobio laughed and waved to someone behind him.

Soon, someone came up with a PAD, showing a live video feed from the scene to those present.

What was found in the underground space of the Hisashiga House...

To say the least, the screen showed things unknown to all.

Anyone with even a slight understanding of medicine could recognize from the shaking screen that it was an advanced and complex biological laboratory!

Especially Huai Shi, who recognized many pieces of equipment that Tong Ji had written to him about, and even a top-notch biological Refining Furnace that the Stone Pot Society had only recently begun exporting and producing...

”This is the live scene just sent over. Even this old man couldn’t believe that such a luxurious laboratory existed in the house.” Tobio coldly asked, ”Is the Hisashiga House planning to venture into the medical industry?”

”...”

Hisashiga’s face twitched a bit, then quickly spoke for clarification: ”I just wanted to understand...the properties of the All Spirits Drug. My people secretly obtained one and wanted to experiment to...”

BANG!

A loud noise erupted, and Hisashiga suddenly let out a painful scream, a bloody hole appearing in his leg.

Among the crowd, Hisashiga’s subordinates stirred, but since weapons had been handed over before entering, now all were kept under Tobio’s men’s watch, no one daring to step over the line.

”Still playing tough, Hisashiga! Do you think anyone here believes in the nonsense about the All Spirits Drug?”

Tobio took a step forward, pushing the hot barrel of a gun to Hisashiga’s face, roaring, ”God City Future, where is it! That bastard wanting to turn us into pollutants, where is it!”

But soon, an unbelievable scene unfolded again.

Right on Hisashiga Iri’s leg, the bloody hole caused by the bullet no longer bled, and the thumb-sized wound began to rapidly heal.

Without using any medication, without any fluctuation of Source Substance or Stigma healing, it swiftly...returned to normal!

”Ha, haha...it worked, it finally worked...”

Hisashiga widened his eyes in surprise, seemingly unprepared for the result. As he realized, he burst into ecstatic dance: ”Did you see that? Did you see it? The All Spirits Drug is effective! The experiment...the experiment was successful! He wasn’t lying, I’ve been cured, hahaha!!!”

With his ecstatic smile, the originally conspicuous scales at his temple began to rapidly shed, leaving behind just a few faint white spots.

Nails, hair, and skin grew rapidly.

Soon, his body was covered by dead skin. When he stretched out his hand to tear off the cumbersome skin, it revealed a face that was ten years younger, the previously mottled white hair now thick, glossy, and black.

Rejuvenated.

Made to look like a normal person!

Right before everyone’s eyes, such an astounding miracle occurred!

But soon after, Hisashiga’s expression froze, his movements stiffened in place, his laughter stopped—as crimson blood and fragments of his internal organs continuously spewed from his mouth and nose.

Violent coughing.

Then, a painful scream—

His neck seemed twisted as it struggled to lift, his eyes almost popping out of their sockets, bloodshot. The cracks on his face quickly spread...finally, collapsing.

The whole person resembled someone jumping into a boiling lime pit, rapidly dissolving in screams and wails.

”No, what’s going on...this wasn’t part of the deal!”

He screamed hoarsely, raising his head with difficulty, screaming in terror: ”What’s happening? Hey, God City! God...”

Soon after, his raised arm fell off his body.

Hisashiga fell to the ground, quickly dissolving into a sizzling pool.

In an instant, no bones remained.

Huai Shi’s eyes had already lifted, casting toward the direction Hisashiga had seen before he died—the corner, where the middle-aged attendant who had silently followed Hisashiga remained.

”Said too much, Hisashiga-san.”

The man hiding his face in shadows slowly lifted his head, taking off the glasses on his face, sighing coldly: ”Even in death, liking to cause trouble for people, that’s enough.”

The pair of glasses were some kind of disguise tool, falling off, the man suddenly grew more than ten centimeters taller, revealed under the light was none other than God City Future.

Not much different from the photos, except the beard had grown for lack of grooming.

”Really strange, originally wouldn’t have been exposed, why so certain of my trace?”

He calmly opened his arms, asking Tobio, ”Why side with outsiders, Tobio-san, aren’t we true compatriots? Isn’t everything I’ve done for all hybrids?”

”No one is a compatriot of yours, God City Future.”

Tobio turned back, pulling the trigger expressionlessly.

A savage blood hole appeared on God City Future’s face, brain matter and blood trickling out slowly, God City Future died instantly.

That’s how it should’ve been.

But God City Future did not fall back skyward, instead stiffly standing in place, after quite a while, slowly lowered his head, examining the blood flowing from the hole in his forehead onto the ground.

”Wagging your tail to beg for mercy from others won’t bring peace, Tobio.”

He sighed in disappointment.

Amidst the hail of bullets from the Extreme Path, he endured attacks that could destroy the flesh countless times over, gazing at everyone with a pitying look.

His smile gradually turned mocking.

”Look, everyone.”

”The things that divide us are far stronger than the things that unite us. You surrender to authority, intoxicated by false peace and complacency, forgetting the pain and humiliation we were born with. So foolish, so ridiculous...

Humans are like cells, aggregation is only a rare miracle, ’division’ is the eternal theme.”

His cracked lips, bloodied, slowly opened and closed, issuing a hoarse voice.

He said,

”My name is [Prushim]!”

Prushim, differentiation, division, separation.

The registered name in the God City Future, derived from ancient legend in Hebrew, ’Pharisee’, in essence, means one who pursues holiness and distances oneself from the mundane.

To create a beautiful and pure realm, away from foolishness and filth.

At that moment, amidst the barrage of bullets, his shattered face revealed a ferocious smile as the corners of his mouth lifted.

”Now, the time of separation arrives—”

Boom!

In that instant, his head exploded.

Because someone pushed past the people in front, walked forward, and impatiently threw a punch, directly smashing his head.

”Bah!”

Huai Shi spat fiercely after lowering his head, then lifted his foot to stomp. Dissatisfied, he stomped again: ”Separation, separate your damn head!”

Boom!

”Not being afraid of bullets makes you amazing, huh! Do you know sumo wrestling!”

Boom!

”Do you know what a shiko is!”

Boom!

”Ever heard of the stories of the... Tiger King Group!”

Ignoring the astonished looks from those around, Huai Shi continued to punch and kick, physically crashing into the scene to hammer the guy on the spot.

Thinking about the enormous threat this idiot posed to so many innocents made Huai Shi want to scatter this dog’s ashes, to keep him forever separated.

”No transformations allowed, got it!”

Huai Shi reached over, grabbed the rapidly regenerating remnants on the ground by the neck, and punched the newly grown head again: ”Taking so long to load and still no invincibility frames, really think you’re a Magical Girl, huh!”

Boom!

Blood sprayed.

He paused for a moment.

Because the feel of the punch was a bit peculiar. It felt like smashing a pig bladder, strangely slippery.

Then, he heard an angry roar from the God City Future, and in his hands, the incomplete shell suddenly expanded and shattered, turning into rolling Abyss that swept all around.

The impact, comparable to an explosion, flipped Huai Shi over.

Immediately afterwards, endless darkness erupted, as if Huai Shi had finally broken the illusionary exterior, revealing the rotten truth within...

In that instant, beneath the women’s clothing, Liu DongLi squinted, her eyes becoming stern.

Indeed!

The aura from Hell erupted from the shattered corpse, and the shadow of entwined rotten snakes appeared, followed by the body of God City Future materializing once more from the void, unharmed.

The blessing from the Ruler descended, allowing him to return to life, howling to the sky.

A piercing scream burst forth, followed by a sudden explosion in the night sky, like the thunderous boom left by a fighter jet breaking the sound barrier.

The ground shook violently.

Where Huai Shi originally stood, a giant hole appeared.

A massive figure, bloody and as if skinned, descended from the sky, shook the dust from its body, and raised its head. Eerily, two sharp horns sprouted from its face, golden-painted and terrifyingly savage.

Golden Bear Boy, Yingzhou Phylogeny Fourth Stage... It would have been that, if not fallen into the Abyss.

——Solidifiers!

”That’s... that’s... Lord Jiutiao!”

Arakawa was the first to recognize the figure, and his eyes burned red in an instant: ”God City you bastard, do you have to disturb even the dead!”

He roared: ”Kill that bastard for me! Kill that bastard thing!!!”

The hybrid hero long deceased, once a protector of the Tanbo Inner Circle, now resurrected, stood by the side of God City Future.

Hollow eyes looked at the place where Huai Shi was.

Killing intent erupted.

”Holy shit...”

In a frantic roll, Huai Shi looked up, then... he panicked.

”Is Ai Qing there, there, there, there, there!!!!”
