Chapter 889: Chapter 712: Disposal

After the clamor subsided, it was unclear when the light rain had already stopped.

The street in the deep night returned to silence, with only the scattered cans proving the existence of that recent ’party.’ The floating scent of alcohol gradually dissipated in the damp wind.

Only the Huaizhi Gang members were still wrapping up, distributing the remaining beer, drinking heartily.

”The rain has stopped, huh.”

Huai Shi sighed softly, turned back, and looked at Ueno who came in: ”Was it smooth?”

”A free giveaway, how could it be not smooth.”

Ueno held a beer can in his hand, disregarded the bandages on himself, raised his head, and drank it down eagerly, satisfiedly wiped his mouth: ”Truly insightful, huh. All these years, I haven’t seen people here so happy, almost like a carnival.”

Huai Shi asked, ”Do they look happy?”

Ueno was stunned for quite a while, subconsciously nodded.

”Then, of course, they’re happy, right?”

So, Huai Shi just chuckled softly.

In the silence, he raised the beer in his hand, turned back, and toasted to the man above the altar, offering a distant toast.

”Cheers.”

The first step has already been taken.

The rest, leave it to me...

.

In the quiet Yingzhou Courtyard, the sound of water flowed gently, Deer Shocking Bamboo Tube filled with water, knocking on the stones, with a low echo.

Under the moonlight, bamboo leaves fluttered softly.

The old man standing in front of the pond scattered fish food, causing the koi in the pond to surge, scrambling for food, the sight of the vibrant red and white wriggling scene was truly delightful.

The lively Shiba Inu lay by the pond, curiously probing its paw, only to get splashed with water by the wagging fish tail.

Just like that, the old man quietly listened to the reports from his subordinate behind him.

”Sounds like a rebellious mad dog indeed...”

After a while, Tobio Souhei slowly nodded, dispensed the last of the fish food in his hand, lowered his head and rubbed the Shiba Inu’s ears, admonished with concern: ”Our Taro mustn’t behave like that.”

The Shiba Inu named Taro looked up blankly, grinned, and wagged its tail at the old man.

”Alright, go play in the yard, don’t bully those fish anymore.”

The old man rubbed the Shiba Inu’s face, nudged it away from the pond, watched it run off, his expression gradually became serious.

”How dare the Huai Zhisu People offend the Alliance’s dignity, indeed, their crime is unforgivable.”

He turned back, looked indifferently at the man prostrating on the ground behind him: ”But there’s one point he wasn’t wrong about, Kitahara.

This indeed is your fault, isn’t it?”

Kitahara trembled on the ground.

”Due to your delay and negligence, it led to the destruction of the Tiger King Group.”

Tobio said, ”Actually, I can’t be bothered with the lives of those two from the Arisaka Family, they violated the commandment, tainted by forbidden drugs, even without the Huaizhi Gang, sooner or later someone would find other excuses to get rid of them... But there’s one thing that’s undeniable.

Kitahara, because of you, the prestige of the five big bosses was diminished.”

He said, ”This is the biggest mistake you’ve made.”

”I, I...”

Kitahara’s face turned pale, swallowed his saliva, wanted to argue, but under Tenmoku’s gaze, couldn’t utter a word, finally, despairingly closed his eyes.

”I willingly accept the punishment...”

”Whether you’re willing or not, the punishment will come, because you violated the rules, Kitahara, even I won’t show lenience.”

The old man lowered his head, gazed at his subordinate on the ground, looked at his right hand missing a pinky finger, suddenly said: ”Eight fingers shouldn’t affect retirement life, right?”

Kitahara froze, incredulous. But soon, began frantically kowtowing on the ground.

”Thank you, thank you for your magnanimity! I, I definitely...”

He expressed his gratitude, already incoherent.

”Alright, you may go.”

Tobio withdrew his gaze, waved his hand casually.

In the expansive courtyard, a respectful attendant approached from afar, presented to the old man the item that had just been delivered.

A can... of beer.

The cheapest Green Day on the market, seemed it just got unpacked from the plastic wrap, there were some scratches on it, the packaging was not even decent.

”Even an old man gets a can, huh?”

Tobio was astonished, then chuckled softly: ”How nice, didn’t expect to have beer to drink at night.”

Casually, he picked up the can, pulled open the tab, unafraid of poison inside, took a big gulp, smacked his lips: ”Not even an ice cube, tastes rather ordinary...”

He paused for a moment, looked back towards the distance, in the shadows of the bamboo forest, raised his voice and asked: ”Hey, guest, want some?”

From the shadows of the bamboo forest, a scruffy middle-aged man emerged.

Messy blond hair tossed casually behind, somewhat curly, wearing an ill-fitting trench coat, unkempt beard, resembling a homeless man commonly seen in America.

But he held a similar beer can in his hand, gestured towards Tobio.

”I got it.”

”Kids these days sure are generous.”

Tobio chuckled lightly again, took another sip, raised his hand, poured the beer into the pond, spoke to the fish scrambling for food: ”Since everyone gets a share, you guys have some too, taste the young man’s pride and courage.”

A can of beer quickly vanished amidst the fish’s sharing.

Only the empty can was tossed back into the tray, silently departed with the attendant.

Under the moonlight, Tobio flicked his hand, asked casually: ”Lawrence, can you tell me what Green Day thinks about this matter?”
