Chapter 887: Chapter 711: Where Water Is Like Wine (Part 2)

”Of course, please come in.”

Yamada gestured towards a side room next to the funeral hall.

In the side room that had become bustling once again, many pairs of eyes glanced over, instantly turning displeased.

”Tch, didn’t you leave, Old Turtle? Why are you back?”

”My nephew and Fujimoto are sworn brothers in prison, why shouldn’t I have a drink at his funeral? And you, bald-headed kappa, isn’t your daughter about to be born? Hurry and get back!”

”I only have two sons, both are eating in prison, where would a daughter come from? Must be you, Old Turtle, who misheard with those deaf ears of yours!”

In less than ten minutes, more than one-third of the people had returned, like some sort of tacit second and third meeting among company staff, after tricking away the irrelevant and tactless, they gathered once more in familiar places.

Indeed, the Huaizhi Gang is reckless and may be on the brink of disaster.

But this doesn’t hinder how tempting the Tiger King Group’s legacy is!

If you don’t take action now and wait for the Alliance leadership to distribute, who knows how much effort will be needed to secure it, how could it compare to the thrill of taking advantage now?

Even if by then the Huaizhi Gang is gone, the properties everyone bought with money, even if you are one of the big bosses, you can’t just say let people back out, right?

Though the Extreme Path does not follow so-called procedures and never pays taxes, there are rules within it too. There’s simply too much operable space, and too much profit to be gleaned, it’s hard for these old ghosts not to be tempted.

Moreover, maybe by then they could get another piece from the Huaizhi Gang... a legacy from two groups to serve you, isn’t that wonderful?

Watching the lively atmosphere in the room from afar, Huai Shi turned and left. The upcoming matters would be handed off to Takuma, there was no need for him to show up again.

.

An hour later, Takuma hurriedly walked into the break room specially prepared for Huai Shi, sweating all over, wiping his forehead.

”Boss, the Tiger King Group’s assets have been completely liquidated, their fixed assets, the goods in their possession, and the chains and shops of the milk tea chain have all been bought by those four companies...”

At this point, he couldn’t help but feel the pain.

It was too rushed, those old fogies opened their mouths wide, and there’s no room to haggle when cutting prices, practically like buying cabbages.

And for this kind of unprocessed asset, by the rules, it’s supposed to be discounted by another thirty percent.

It’s pretty much the same as outright robbery!

He lowered his head, handing over a thick stack of documents he was holding, reporting, ”This time, it’s handled by the Yamada Group and...”

Huai Shi waved his hand, interrupting the lengthy report, ”Just tell me the total amount.”

”In total, Fifty-Seven Million USD.”

Takuma adjusted his glasses, took a few deep breaths, trying to prevent a heart attack: ”According to your request, only cash and hard currency are accepted, if insufficient, we mortgage first, settling within a week.”

Quickly calculating the borrowed returns, he couldn’t help but smile: ”This way, now the Huaizhi Gang’s accounts have a large sum...”

”What do we need that much money for?”

Huai Shi waved his hand carelessly: ”How much is on the books now?”

”Including last quarter’s surplus and liquid funds, the main part is the just-transferred advance payment, totaling around Nine Million USD.”

”That’s quite a lot.”

Huai Shi nodded knowingly, gazing at the sky outside gradually reddening with dusk thoughtfully: ”Takuma, how many people are there in the entire Tanbo Inner Circle?”

”Huh?”

Takuma was puzzled, after thinking for a long time hesitantly said, ”About, around two hundred thousand people? After all, annual censuses don’t count here, and no one has ever counted.”

”Let’s just consider it two hundred and fifty thousand.”

Huai Shi lowered his head, staring at the flickering cigarette between his fingers, thought for a moment, shrugged: ”Alright, let’s do it that way.”

Not waiting for Takuma to react, he raised his head, smiling:

”Go tell everyone here that there’s a guy named Huaizhi, who’s new in town, wants to invite them for a drink, and hopes for their support in the future.”

He said, ”I want to buy everyone a drink.”

Takuma froze, stiff in place, staring in shock.

”Boss, are you... serious?”

”Such a significant sum isn’t for joking around, right?” Huai Shi said, ”Help me calculate, did you bring a calculator?”

It’s the simplest math problem.

The cheapest Murez Beer, one can costs two hundred seventy Yen Yuan... adding up it would be sixty-seven million Yen Yuan, translating to USD, it’s nearly Seven Hundred Thousand USD!

”This way, there can still be over Eight Million left.”

Huai Shi pondered, rubbing his chin, then pulled out a business card from his pocket—Border Peace Water Group.

”Contact this company, the contract terms I’ve already negotiated, just discuss the advance payment and later payment issues, remember to allocate part for pipeline laying and modification costs.”

”After this, you can go tell those folks having a drink, starting from next week, everyone can buy water from us—clean, clear, truly drinkable water.”

He said, ”But water isn’t like beer, beer is free, water is triple the market price.”

In the silence, Takuma’s hands holding the paper trembled, almost doubting if he misheard, but found it hard to question his words. After a long time, he panted, finally calming down.
