Chapter 496: Chapter 431: Slap _2

Immediately following that action, his left foot stamped down, causing the massive Group Star to emit a mournful whine and suddenly sink more than two meters. The colossal power then streamed through his body, converging in his Iron Fist as it swung forward with a chop!

Huai Shi heard a sickening CRACK from his arm. A bone fracture.

Forthwith, a Vajra Pestle the length of a forearm appeared in the emaciated old man’s hand. He raised it high, light surging from it and turning his entire arm into pure gold, then brought it smashing down!

A tremendous uproar erupted.

In an instant, the Sublimators who lunged forward were forced back. The expressionless old man waved his hand, and a tangible bolt of thunder rose from the Vajra Pestle, turning into a torrent like a Giant Snake, coiling around him.

The dark aureole behind him suddenly grew larger.

The Thunder Giant Snake opened its mouth, screeching, and lunged straight toward Osiris.

”Scram, cur!”

Beelzebub snorted coldly. Immediately afterward, Huai Shi felt a violent shake in the sword cannon in his hand. The grip swiftly extended, while the originally heavy Sword Blade slid to both sides with the module, turning into a massive Axe.

Without any hesitation, Huai Shi lifted his hand, turned, and swung the massive Axe in his grip. It carved a sharp arc before chopping forward!

The rainbow-gold trajectory flashed by. The screeches of the Thunder Giant Snake suddenly turned agonizing as one head was cleanly split into two, cleaved straight down the middle to its very end.

In the dispersing bolts of lightning, the Heretic King’s figure leaped up. Stepping on the severed Axe Blade, he charged wildly towards Osiris, punching out!

Osiris’s palm likewise rose, clenched, to meet fist with fist!

Terrifying shockwaves burst forth the moment their iron fists collided. Cracks spread out from Osiris’s iron hand, only to be promptly healed by the blaze.

He blocked it! Huai Shi, elated, heard the thunderous shattering of the crystal cage.

Within the cage, Matthes had vanished without a trace. Only a blood-red tree emerged, freed from its prison, its infant’s cry now morphing into hoarse laughter.

The keen roots swept over.

Countless twin-spiral crystals stretched out from the roots and, in a snap, knocked Osiris back several kilometers.

”In the end, you’re too slow, The Fly King,” Matthes’s voice mocked as the upside-down giant tree’s roots lifted the carcass of the Rotten Dream, rising slowly towards the Sky Dome. In the canopy above, countless blood-red Crystal Stones grew out, hanging heavily from the branches like fruit.

One fell gently. In an instant, the wild blood light turned into a tide, sweeping in all directions, engulfing everything.

The chains set by the Astronomical Society crumbled apart in an instant.

From the Abyss, Nowhere once again cast out numerous shadows. They descended, with sixteen Heaven Ladder Tethers pulling them rapidly upward!

The Phantom of a dove reappeared.

But this time, just as the iron light of the Miracle Imprint began to emerge, the prepared Heretic King fiercely launched a punch. The terrifying lightning, harboring all the light and heat from the Three Realms, collided with the Miracle Imprint, and they annihilated each other upon impact.

Since the onset, he had retained over forty percent of his strength to guard against this unpredictable iron light.

”Lastly, let me leave you with a profound lesson, The Fly King!”

Amongst myriad roots, a pitch-black and straight root instantly detached. Wrapped in four twin-spiral crystals, it formed a terrifying Long Spear and was hurled fiercely towards Osiris!

”—Children shouldn’t meddle in the affairs of their elders!”

In the blink of an eye, Death Perception descended from the sky.

Huai Shi retreated in a panic without a second thought, but that root-and-crystal composite Long Spear was just too fast. Before he could react, it had already pierced through Osiris’s massive form, impaling the Underworld Giant and leaving it grievously wounded.

Huai Shi had thought such a terrifying blow would kill him instantly, but when he came to, he found he had hardly been affected at all.

Instead, the Steel book was slowly rising in front of him.

On its massive module, a profound crack appeared, from which copious amounts of ink, like fresh blood, flowed out.

”Beelzebub?” Huai Shi was stunned. ”Hey? What’s wrong with you? Are you still alive?”

”Shut up! So annoying!” Beelzebub shouted angrily. ”A mere bump makes you scream? Am I a preschooler?”

These were the exact words Beelzebub had thrown at him earlier.

Huai Shi retorted, ”The one imitating speech is the child, isn’t it!”

”Never mind that, Huai Shi. We don’t have time,” Beelzebub said after a moment of silence. ”Since we’re here already, right? We need to see this through to the end...”

In the silence, Huai Shi took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

He said, ”Alright.”

[Orange reaction detected, radar scan complete, the true nature of the Remaining Evils of the World determined—]

[The Sixth Furnace unlocked.]

[Permission granted.]

That instant, eye-searing red text ascended from the screen, appearing in front of Huai Shi.

[Do you wish to activate the rebirth mechanism? YES/NO].

Huai Shi reached out and made his selection.

”Thank you, Huai Shi,” Beelzebub murmured softly, full of gratitude and appreciation.

Thereupon, a roar from the Underworld resounded throughout heaven and earth.

Accompanied by the last piece of Armor shattering entirely, a dreadful light burst forth from Osiris’s shell, illuminating this dark world.

The forbidden sequence to reverse life and death had been initiated.

In an instant, the root Long Spear burned to ashes in the light.
