Chapter 438: Chapter 378 The Funeral of the Creator_1

In the silent hall, the attendees sat solemnly in their assigned seats, looking up intently at what lay before them.

The people who had rushed here from all around the world were diverse: old or young, fat or thin, ugly or beautiful. Smartly dressed elites, farmers with sun-speckled faces, and workers with calloused hands all sat on the same bench, presenting a rather bizarre sight.

This place should have been a temple, yet instead of towering deities, the massive stone foundation only supported the ceaseless projections of Current Circumstances.

Beneath the projection, the tranquil voice continued.

”How can we ensure the maximum extent of continuity for everything?”

The middle-aged man named Yegor stood beneath the projection, solemnly delivering the report from the Existence Institute: ”The symbiosis of groups? The independence of individuals? The inheritance of genes? Or perhaps, the continuation of civilization?”

”I believe this is the final question left for all colleagues by the fallen Creator—a question worth a lifetime of pursuit.

”This is not merely a doomsday adaptation exercise.

”Within it, the crucial ’Biologicization,’ also known as ’Sublimation of Aether,’ will be uploaded in the ’preload area’ of the three Great Secrets over the next three cycles. According to our calculations, this technology has successfully turned back the Doomsday Clock by four minutes. For all the common folk of Current Circumstances, it represents a magnificent and merciful creation. To this day, the legacy of Utopia continues to protect the entire world without cease.

”But what she has done goes far beyond that.”

Yegor said solemnly, ”She has given us even more than we could have imagined—including groundbreaking breakthroughs in the research of the Element of Destruction!

”In Ms. Cheshel’s final experiment, we successfully observed new findings—by simulating the Ranch Owner’s food chain, the results we’ve obtained are infinitely close to the realm of the Eternal Beast! It’s not only about establishing the parallel yet opposing relationship between the two, but we’ve obtained even more than anticipated—”

Even those present who did not understand the complex theories and terminologies passed among scholars realized the significance of this achievement through their assistants.

This dangerously significant accomplishment was less of a surprise and more of a shock.

Gai’s thought process was too wild, like a runaway train barreling down a highway, disregarding rules and taboos. He treated the extremely dangerous Element of Destruction as nothing more than lab rats in a cage.

After a long period of research and countless failures, they finally succeeded in relating the two under a specific perspective on the same main axis.

Between them, they found a perfect balance and common ground.

Based on this, they constructed a completely viable theoretical tool. No, it would be more appropriate to call it a bridge.

Whether by analyzing the Eternal Beast through the research on the Ranch Owner, or by studying the existence of the Ranch Owner through understanding the Eternal Beast...

The massive research conducted over a long time on both will be transformed through this bridge. Even with limitations, it’s akin to opening a brand-new path.

A new discipline of Abyssal biology will be founded by Evelyn, and from now on, countless scholars will carry on the torch, advancing along the path she has blazed.

She has generously taught others to fish without reservation.

”In the final minute before her passing, this lady made a tremendous contribution to Current Circumstances...”

Yegor steadied himself with his cane, straining his calves as he stood bolt upright and said with solemnity, ”Here, I propose that we all stand to observe a moment of silence for the passing of this wise individual.”

Without hesitation.

No matter where they came from or where they were heading next, everyone present uniformly rose at Yegor’s initiative. Representatives from the Jurisdiction Bureau, Existence Institute, Technology Department, and Archaeological Team, as well as those from beyond the Astronomical Society—such as the Stone Pot Society, Bronze Eye, and more—all bowed their heads in silent tribute to the old figure emerging from the projections, paying their highest respects.

For a full three minutes.

Even if it was just for three minutes.

The entire world stood still in honor of her passing.

This was the Creator’s funeral.
