Chapter 427: 368 Chapter Unforeseen Changes and Miracles_1

Imagine one day, a husky appears next to your model. Every day, it gazes at your creation with a dangerous look in its eyes—as if it hadn’t had enough activity for the day—and dribbles saliva on your model when you’re not looking, eager to try. Since then, day after day, you hover on the verge of mental and physical exhaustion. Ironically, you can’t beat it. Until one day, you see it give a demonic smile, its mouth splits wide, and it runs delightedly towards your model—the first thing you feel is not fear or panic, but a sense of relief, thinking, Ah, the day has finally come. It’s like a death-row inmate seeing the executioner, who’d been suffering from diarrhea, finally return to the execution grounds. What a relief. Hurry up and get it over with! Give me a quick end!

Now, that quick end had arrived.

With an earth-shattering, thunderous roar, the thousand-mile lava Hell also surged with this intense tremor.

Huai Shi was already sprinting over, wreathed in lightning, her tongue lolling. Her huge, luminous eyes were fixed on the Giant Snake in the sky, completely oblivious to the trembling steel city directly in her path.

The mountain-like giant shadow had already enveloped the quivering Titan Empire.

Atop the city wall, the fox only had time for one last, terrified scream, ”Huai Shi, no!!!”

The next moment, a roar erupted directly in front of them.

It was the sound of thunder tearing through the air.

The thin air, brutally tormented, was violently compressed inward. It collided, then recoiled to either side with a mournful sound, repeating this oscillation.

Like gelatin under a high-speed camera during ballistics testing.

Upon the earth, four uniform and deep depressions appeared. Immense Power plunged straight down for several kilometers into the earth before violently erupting.

This finally triggered a chaotic earthquake, adding new scars to the already ravaged subterranean geology of the city.

Because the imitation super-super-super-sized Flash had pushed off with all four limbs. It launched itself into the air, towards the sky, shooting straight up.

Only an excited voice echoed in the wailing wind, ”I—Can—Fly!!!”

It was truly a miracle.

An unadulterated, mountain-sized monster broke free from the earth’s grasp. It soared wantonly in the wind, grinning and lolling its tongue as it flew ever higher...

Higher still, the Phoenixes entangled in battle were so terrified their eyes nearly popped out. Heedless of defense, they desperately flapped their wings, scrambling for altitude.

The Giant Snake, absorbed in the fight, was completely oblivious to the crisis approaching from behind, still focused entirely on attacking the Phoenixes.

It wasn’t until it finally heard the excited roar from the disturbed void behind it that it reacted.

Stunned, it whipped its head around.

Only to see a dark silhouette in its eight giant eyes growing larger, and larger, and larger... until finally, that enormous canine maw filled its entire field of vision.

Meow meow meow?

It was as if hundreds of thousands of question marks had simultaneously risen from the Abyss, sprouting all over the land.

The next instant, the Behemoth, its ascent faltering, seized the Giant Serpent by the tip of its tail. Gripping it tightly, the Behemoth, along with its own colossal mass, plummeted towards the earth below.

In its haste, it could only manage a shriek so piercing it sounded like the cries of countless people.

Then, along with Huai Shi, it returned to the earth’s embrace.

”All members—”

The fox, having narrowly escaped disaster, looked up. When he saw the shadow plummeting from the sky, his face turned green, and he shrieked at the top of his lungs, ”—Prepare for the shock!!!”

Before his words even faded, the distant land erupted—like a cesspit hit with celebratory firecrackers, like a diving pool after a cannonball from a corpulent man, like an online game server moments after a new version launch...

It exploded!

Countless Geiger counters CLICKED wildly.

All observation instruments indicated that at the epicenter of the explosion, at the instant of detonation, an event equivalent to the nuclear fission of thousands of tons of TNT had occurred.

A nuclear bomb.

Now the fox’s face was as green as a certain giant from an old American comic book—a deep, sickly green. Before he could utter a word, terrifying tremors, carried by a hurricane, swept over them.

The entire land instantly became a cruel, raging ocean, heaving with wave after wave.

The rock strata buckled like a carpet, tossing the coin-sized steel city about.

Everyone felt themselves momentarily airborne, then slammed heavily back down amid the SCREECHING of countless hydraulic valves, crushed to the ground.

Just to maintain the flexible seismic absorption layer supporting the entire city, the Stork let out a high-pitched SCREECH, his eyes bulging as blood trickled from his orifices.

The immense pressure felt as if the entire city had crashed down upon him.

When the fox, covered in dust and grime, finally clambered up from behind the city wall and peered out, he couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath. Holy hell...

One hundred kilometers south of the city, where Huai Shi had landed, three new Stone Mountains had abruptly risen. Amidst the billowing smoke and lava, the terrain was permanently altered.

Like a crumpled carpet, it no longer resembled its former smooth expanse.

At the very center of the explosion, the vast ash tide had vanished. Amidst the scenes of death and devastation, a network of intersecting rifts formed deep craters.

In the deepest part of the crater, the Giant Serpent, severed mid-spine and now in multiple segments, could no longer emit its characteristic wail-like cries. It whimpered feebly, its breath shallow.
