Chapter 335: Chapter 289: The Spirit of America (Thanks to the overlord of Hoodie Gugu)_1

The phantom of the White Head Eagle suddenly emerged from the Endless Sea.

Soaring between heaven and sea, as that figure threw a punch, it stirred its wings, pushing forward tens of thousands of miles of thunderclouds and torrential rain, howling towards its destination.

Endless lightning turned into a deluge, forming a scorching waterfall that lit up the dark heavens and earth, surging towards Xiematai.

As heaven and earth trembled, Xuan Niao’s lowered finger twirled slightly.

Following that, faint starlight began to emerge from the void between Xiematai and the Endless Sea.

First came a large and empty framework: the Purple Palace, Supreme Palace, and Sky Market Enclosure. All three enclosures were in place.

Then, the divine phantoms of the Azure Dragon, Black Tortoise, Vermillion Bird, and White Tiger sprouted from within them, establishing the foundations on all four sides.

Finally, Horn, Neck, Root, Room, Heart, Tail, Basket, Dipper, Ox, Girl, Emptiness, Rooftop, Wall... the brilliance of the Twenty-Eight Mansions flared up like flames within.

They enveloped the entire Abyss Sea.

Where the galaxy passed, calm pervaded and the sky became cloudless for thousands of miles. Even the terrifying ocean tides suddenly calmed, and the vast sea grew as smooth as a mirror. It reflected the stars, blurring the distinctions between up and down, left and right, southeast and northwest.

The dancing lightning silently dissipated under the starlight’s gleam.

Xuan Niao finally raised his eyes, slowly shaking his head at this powerful being, whose eligibility as a ’visiting troublemaker’ was uncertain.

”This path is blocked,” he said.

”No—”

Within the embrace of endless thunderclouds, the General’s mouth curved into a brutally cruel smile, ”If I say it’s open, then it’s open!”

The huge phantom of the White Head Eagle suddenly craned its neck and screeched. Its wings, wrapped in thunderclouds, flapped sharply, forcefully breaking through the boundary of the starry sky and storming into the domain of the three enclosures, Four Symbols, and Twenty-Eight Mansions.

The terrifying gravitational pull of the void stars seemed no more than a breeze to him. With the General’s roar, a frightful Source Fluctuation erupted. The stars across the sky were swept up by the power in his wings; even the pressure of Sky’s Command began to skew.

Shouldering an immense weight, the General trod upon the solidified sea surface, leaving behind rifts that could not heal, moving forward relentlessly. When he looked up, his mouth cracked with a pleased smile.

”Never thought that one day, I’d get another shot against the King of Genealogy from Dongxia...” he laughed heartily. Without further ado, he swung his fist, ”Come on, let me see how much you differ from the previous generation’s Lu Wu!”

Once more, terrifying waves stirred upon the Endless Sea.

Countless thunderbolts spread from the mist, shrouding the General like majestic and harsh golden Armor, radiating a ferocious aura.

Facing Xuan Niao ahead of Xiematai, he stood firm, throwing his punch!

Terrible power burst forth once again.

”The General! It’s Lord General!”

”Arthur!”

”Lord Arthur has made a move!”

”Your Excellency Ghost Duke!”

In that instant, in front of the livestreaming screen, countless people shouted, some excitedly, others in astonishment.

Whether out of admiration, aspiration, fear, or disgust, at this moment all spectators involuntarily straightened their bodies and widened their eyes, scrutinizing the rare live broadcast.

Watching that robust man, his hair already showing signs of white, they couldn’t hide their awe.

To the people of Yingzhou, he was the Ghost Duke who had descended from the heavens. He was one of the current de facto rulers of Yingzhou, a Sublimator who single-handedly possessed enough power to blood-wash the entire Tianjin Faction, forcing the archipelago into fearful submission and bestowing upon him the revered title of ’General.’

For many more, however, he was the strongest in America ninety years ago. He was the once Eternal Winning Knight under the White Crown King and the only individual in American history to be awarded the position of the Five Star Crowns.

Even after failing in his scheming bid for the position of Owner of the American Genealogy, he still blood-washed the entire Congress and departed unscathed. This forced the Federation to exile him—a tyrant banished beyond America’s borders.

—Douglas Arthur!

Though ninety years had passed, no one dared to underestimate the once strongest in America.

In his prime, a mere call to arms would see countless Sublimators from the American Genealogy instantly betray their beloved country to rejoin his ranks.

At the peak of his power, he was but a hair’s breadth from the supreme Natural Enemy.

If not for the arrogance and brutality that almost matched his Talent, maybe by now, he would have naturally taken over White City and become the King of America, right?

Such was a favored hero of the heavens; standing behind the White Crown King as the Eternal Winning Knight, facing numerous enemies, he never tasted defeat.

So, after ninety years, how much of the ferocity of the former strongest in America remained?

Just as he delivered a punch with the force of ten thousand jun towards Xiematai, the figure of a Giant abruptly emerged before him, meeting the General’s punch with an arm seemingly forged of bronze.

The phantom of the Giant King, Kua Fu, appeared behind him.

A ghastly ravine appeared on the frozen Endless Sea. With his step, the Iron Fist swung out to meet force with force!

The two fists, containing boundless Power, collided, and the violent shockwave surged outwards in every direction. Arthur’s smile remained jubilant yet ferocious, unflinching, while Kua Fu involuntarily took a step back.

A crack appeared on the bronze arm.

”Old timer, you certainly look well-preserved. Got any secret remedies?”

Kua Fu raised his eyebrows in astonishment. His bronze arm trembled violently as the brutal Power doubled, shaking the solidified sea beneath him and forcefully pushing Arthur’s fist back.

”Old soldiers never die, kiddo.”

The General laughed out loud amidst the electric glow, his muscles bulging as he raised his left arm and threw another punch at Kua Fu’s face, ”They don’t fade away either!”

He said, ”—And you, you’ve got a long way to go!”

The roar exploded.

The Thunder Dragon howled past.

Beneath Kua Fu’s feet, two rifts were carved out on the sea surface as he retreated dozens of meters. The palm covering his face was scorched black and flickering with electricity, twitching involuntarily.

Damn, what does this old man eat to grow like that? He’s almost two hundred years old, how come he’s still so strong?

”See that, Little Brag? Is this perhaps the difference in power?”

Arthur proudly spread his arms. The phantom of the White Head Eagle behind him grew more ferocious, its screech echoing sharply in all directions, showcasing its existence.

American Genealogy Fifth Stage Stigma·Hawk God!

In Indian legends, the ultimate animal deity that ruled over all creatures from the Golden Mountain had, over the eons, almost become the symbol of America.

It could be said that it embodied the American Genealogy itself.

Apart from the Source and the authority recognized by all Sublimators, he was synonymous with the symbol of the American Genealogy; it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call him the Crownless King.

”You see?”

Before Kua Fu’s eyes, Arthur once again lifted his fist, wrapped in thunder light, grinned, and laughed, ”This is the miracle brought by ’freedom’!”

”What the heck?”

Kua Fu was dumbfounded.

”Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!”

Beneath Xuan Niao’s starry sky, Arthur nonchalantly moved forward and casually tore off his tattered floral shirt, revealing muscles covered in scars.

He shouted fervently, as if on a podium, arms spread, roaring with the White Head Eagle, ”This is the hope of America! The foundation of America! The virtue of America!

Listen up, Little Brag!”

Lord General pointed at the dumbfounded Kua Fu. ”The anthem of America is the anthem of freedom! The spirit of America is the spirit of freedom! School shootings, orgies, drug use, congressional corruption, government scandals, even the Bagdad War or international sanctions—none of it matters!

All those are trivial things, not worth mentioning at all!”

He solemnly declared, ”—Because as long as this freedom remains, America is invincible!”

Damn, how can you make criminal acts sound so noble?

Kua Fu couldn’t listen anymore and raised his hand to interrupt, ”Besides, aren’t you a Yingzhou person now, uncle? And after all that you’ve said, didn’t you still lose back then?”

Arthur’s expression froze for a moment, then darkened, as if a sore spot had been hit.

”I’ve found another flaw in you besides lack of freedom.” The General’s smile grew cold. ”You need to learn to respect your predecessors, Little Brag.”

That very moment, the ferocious Hawk God loomed threateningly, its wings brightening with fifty stars.

His smile was sinister.

His arm swelled multiple times in an instant, muscles bulging as if hiding searing thunder. He threw a punch that tore apart the starry sky that bound him!

”Tenfold Release of American Spirit—”

”—Detroit!”

The stars shifted positions dramatically.

The stars whirled violently, transforming this vast power layer by layer, transmitting and discharging it. The entire sea surface suddenly collapsed dozens of meters downward, raising dozens of huge waves in the distance that spread endlessly in all directions.

Kua Fu had already vanished from his spot, reappearing on Xuan Niao’s phantom.

”Do you have a death wish, always provoking those you can’t beat?” Xuan Niao glanced at him incomprehensibly. ”You’ve only been at the Fifth Stage for how many years? How many years has he been at the Fifth Stage...”

”I was actually planning to just rub against it a little.”

Kua Fu shook his arm with a bitter expression. ”Didn’t expect this old coffin to be so prickly. It’s truly said that the old who don’t die are thieves. How can this undying old coot just...”

He wanted to say more but stopped short under Xuan Niao’s expressionless gaze.

Almost forgot, speaking of old men, there was also one right in front of him...

”It seems you’re not training hard enough.” The elder glanced at him casually. ”After you go back, you will take Di Ting’s place rotating through Magic City.”

After nonchalantly passing down the dirty work to the current baffled youth, he looked down at Arthur, who had now reached the nearby sea surface. ”The Yingzhou Phylogeny wouldn’t be such a sore loser, right?”

”What is it, planning to make a move yourself, Xuan Niao? I’m so looking forward to it,” Arthur cheerfully asked. ”When we first met back then, you were just a youngster.”

”Yes, at that time, Lord General’s fame was already at its peak.”

Xuan Niao nodded calmly, yet he didn’t join the fray. ”Regrettably, even within the Dongxia Genealogy, I am one of the least skilled in combat. I’m afraid I don’t have the honor of clashing with the General.

That blockhead just now is another matter. You wouldn’t stoop to the level of a baffled youth, would you?”

”All that stuff is fine by me. I just want to find someone to fight.”

Arthur pulled out an unextinguished cigar from his pocket, tilted his head, and took several harsh drags, asking, ”So who am I fighting today? The strongest Bai Ze of the Dongxia legends? The most elusive Di Ting? Or the current top Fu Canlight of Dongxia? I really like that kid; it would be great if I could have a match with him.”

”No, it should be me.”

A slightly immature voice suddenly rang out, causing Arthur’s pupils to constrict instantly.

Behind him? No, when exactly...?
