Chapter 149: Chapter 142 Paracelsus_2

”Get... get away from me!”

Lei Feizhou struggled with all his might, finally tearing Huai Shi off his body. But a huge wound was torn open on his neck. Even the carotid artery was torn, blood gushing out constantly.

He staggered backward. Before he could steady himself, he saw Huai Shi, who had rolled to the ground, climb up again. Dragging the Axe on the ground, Huai Shi walked towards him step by step.

Lei Feizhou let out a hoarse screech. The Werewolves gathered around, buying him a brief respite.

It took a full half minute before the Werewolf managed to use the last of his lightning to drive away the silver Curse from the wound and close the fatal cut on his artery.

But the blessed, sacred state had already ended, far sooner than he had anticipated.

However, compared to him, Huai Shi’s condition was even more dire. Despite the replenishment of Plasma, his body still bore many wounds. The purplish, web-like patterns on his face grew worse as the poison seeped into his bone marrow. He was gulping for air.

”You’re too naïve, Little Brag, far too naïve.”

Lei Feizhou looked at the surrounded Vampire and began to laugh hoarsely. ”Even if you kill me, will that NPC girl come back? Your actions are meaningless; you’re simply seeking your own doom!”

Huai Shi lifted his head, his expression blank. He flung a Flying Knife from the melee, leaving a gash on Lei Feizhou’s smiling face. ”Perhaps,” he said, ”but someone has to... pay the price, don’t they?”

Lei Feizhou’s smile gradually turned grim. He let out a long howl.

But Huai Shi was faster. After tearing off the spent Plasma bag, the Vampire surged with his remaining strength. His Short Knife and Axe flew through the air, chopping off the head of a Werewolf before him. Stepping on the Werewolf’s still-falling body, the Ghost launched himself into the air once more, silently approaching Lei Feizhou!

This time, Lei Feizhou didn’t try to resist head-on; instead, he took several steps back to evade the attack. Having lost the gods-blessed atavistic state, he no longer dared to confront the terrifyingly lethal Vampire directly. He roared, ordering the uncontrolled individuals rampaging on the cruise ship to converge.

But this time, few responded.

Piercing rumbles echoed from the front to the back of the cruise ship as thick smoke spread continuously, forming a cloud of poison—no... it should be called an Antidote.

Under the cover of smoke, the frenzied, uncontrolled individuals stiffened for a moment before being engulfed by powerful sedatives and a vaporized cryomist designed to counter the werewolf toxin.

It wasn’t a gentle cure but a cruel method of killing: an ultra-low temperature environment and virulent poison, specifically designed against the characteristics of the werewolf toxin, progressively rotted the infected tissues into mush.

Even the remaining Werewolves not enveloped by the cryomist began to stiffen, their movements becoming slow and weak, as if they had regressed into ordinary zombies.

Within just an hour, the terrifying plague that had once ravaged the entire ship began to recede rapidly under the effects of such exquisite and vast Alchemy.

Paracelsus!

Having hidden until now, he finally made his move.

But Huai Shi merely glanced, then lost interest and retracted his gaze. He focused on the bewildered Lei Feizhou before him, reminding him with a smile, ”Now, it’s your turn.”

Lei Feizhou’s expression changed drastically, and he quickly retreated. ”Yin Yan! If I die, you won’t be any better off!”

”Hmph, a bunch of fools.” From the distant shadows, hearing his ally’s call, Yin Yan couldn’t help but sneer.

One was a brute who became arrogant with a little power; the other, a fool who couldn’t discern priorities. Stir them up slightly, and they’d start fighting like dogs. Regardless, once Lei Feizhou died, Huai Shi would become difficult to handle. With a Demon Hunter skilled in tracking on board, Yin Yan had no confidence he could hide until the end.

Although he hoped both sides would annihilate each other, it now seemed he had to intervene.

He pressed his barely healed chest wound, a fierce glint flashing in his eyes. Moving silently in stealth, he carefully skirted the pools of blood on the ground that would reveal his tracks. He quietly blended in with the group of weakened, uncontrolled individuals, sneaking up behind Huai Shi.

Legend had it that these mixed-bloods of Dwarves and Goblins wandering the Scottish Highlands, due to their despised heritage, became cruel and brutal. They enjoyed running through the night with their invisible iron boots, using cruel iron claws or iron spears to kill passersby from behind, dyeing their soft caps red with the blood.

Thus, they were called Red Hats.

By now, Yin Yan had thoroughly assimilated the stealth techniques from Red Hat’s memories. He was a hundred thousand times more adept than when he first started, leaving absolutely no trace.

But just as he raised the poison-tipped Short Spear, preparing to exact his revenge, he saw Huai Shi, in the midst of the melee, suddenly turn around and flash a gentle smile at him.

Discovered?

The next moment, the Axe Blade sliced through the air!

He retreated awkwardly, only to see the bright flash of a Short Knife sweeping across. It slashed a gash across his face, nearly severing his neck.

Yin Yan stumbled out of his stealth, his eyes wide with disbelief.

Then, he heard Huai Shi’s cold voice, ”Next time you want to play at stealth, get rid of your old flame’s perfume scent first!”
