Alchemy Master

Chapter 825, Summoned by the Hall Master

Translator: Silavin

The following day.

“Young Friend Qin, the Hall Master has summoned you.” An Inner Sect Pill Hall Manager walked in. After paying respects to the four Elders first, he came to Qin Yichen’s side and spoke.

[So, it’s finally time.] The corners of Qin Yichen’s mouth curved slightly upward.

After entering the Sacred Land, acting high-profile, exposing his Heavenly Martial Artist identity, exposing the Compound Pills… was this not the moment he had been waiting for all along?

“In that case, I will go and quickly return.” He saluted the several Elders, then followed behind that Manager, walking out of the hall.

The several Elders seemed entirely unsurprised by this. On the contrary, it seemed they had long anticipated this day would come.

…

Qin Yichen followed that Manager to the rear mountain of the peak.

The rear mountain was lush and verdant. Without the grandeur of the hall’s facade, it seemed to possess a more intimate connection to nature.

Before his eyes spread fields upon fields of medicinal herbs, surrounded by spirit mist with the fragrance of medicine lingering endlessly. An elderly man, bent at the waist, busied himself within the medicinal fields.

“Hall Master, I have brought him over.” That Manager stopped before the medicinal field and softly announced.

“En, you may go.” Only then did the old man straighten himself.

After the Manager departed, he led Qin Yichen toward a small dwelling beside the medicinal field. Next to the small dwelling, a waterfall descended with water vapor permeating the air creating a transcendent quality.

“Sit.” The old man sat by a table in front of the small dwelling, gesturing for Qin Yichen to sit down.

“Yes!” Qin Yichen respectfully acknowledged and sat across from him.

*He he.* The old man’s lips carried a smile. He picked up the teapot from the wooden table. With a thought, the surrounding water vapor condensed into water, pouring backward into the teapot. Then he took out a single green tea leaf and placed it into the teapot.

“Hmm?” Looking at the tea leaf in the old man’s hand, a trace of astonishment flowed across Qin Yichen’s face.

This tea leaf was green without being withered, brimming with vitality. Just a faint sniff made one feel refreshed and invigorated, with exhaustion completely dissipating.

“What, you recognize this item?” The old man saw the change in his expression and immediately appeared somewhat surprised himself.

“In response to the Hall Master, this Junior once saw records about this item in an ancient text, but has never had the fortune to see it in person.” Qin Yichen answered respectfully.

This leaf was named… Elf Tea.

According to legend, this leaf came from the ancestral tree of the Elf Race—the Tree of Life.

The Tree of Life was treasured by the Elf Race. There were even legends that the Elf Race itself had been derived from the Tree of Life.

Whether this story was actually true could not be verified.

Still, this leaf was called Elf Tea by all races.

Each year, the Elf Race only produced one hundred Elf Tea Leaves. From this, one could see how precious and rare Elf Tea Leaves were.

The Brilliant Sky Sacred Land, placed within the Human Race’s territory, could naturally be called a colossal entity. However, looking across the entire continent, it was merely a passable existence.

Yet at this moment, the Pill Hall Master could actually take out an Elf Tea Leaf for Qin Yichen to drink. From this, one could see to what degree the Brilliant Sky Sacred Land valued Qin Yichen.

This could almost be described as winning over Qin Yichen.

Qin Yichen himself naturally understood the value of this Elf Tea Leaf. Back then, even exerting his utmost effort, he had only managed to obtain a countable few Elf Tea Leaves.

“Haha, to tell the truth, I’m only basking in your reflected glory, which is why I have this good fortune.” The old man smiled without concealing anything.

This tea leaf had been entrusted to him by the Sacred Master for entertaining Qin Yichen.

A moment later, the teapot boiled without fire, and a refreshing fragrance that penetrated the heart drifted out.

With just a faint sniff, Qin Yichen narrowed his eyes.

An entire day’s exhaustion dissipated at once, his Soul strengthening.

“Come, have some tea.” The old man personally poured him a cup of tea.

The tea water was tranquilly green, clear and crystalline, like the colour of life itself.

Qin Yichen was not polite. He picked up the teacup and drank it down in one gulp.

This was not because he was crude, but rather because drinking this tea slowly would cause excessive dissipation, resulting in waste.

Seeing this scene, the old man was once again shocked.

Originally, he had wanted to remind Qin Yichen, but he had not expected Qin Yichen to be so experienced. He not only recognized this tea, but also understood the method for drinking it.

[He is really not simple…] Originally, he had thought Qin Yichen might merely have slightly better luck, coincidentally formulating Compound Pills by chance. But now, his view has changed.

He even wondered whether there might be an expert guiding Qin Yichen from behind, or perhaps Qin Yichen had obtained some astonishing inheritance?

Both were possible. However, he was more inclined toward the latter.

Even in the Imperial Dynasties, peerless inheritances existed.

After drinking the tea, Qin Yichen closed his eyes to meditate.

Spirit God Technique and Divine Indestructible Soul Art—he circulated both simultaneously.

As Spirit God Technique circulated, his Spiritual Energy increased in great arcs, while Divine Indestructible Soul Art refined his Spiritual Energy.

At this moment, within his Knowledge Sea, his Spiritual Body sat cross-legged, eyes containing divine radiance. Spiritual Energy permeated its entire form, creating visible ripples. This made the Spiritual Body appear like a deity seated there.

And now, as Spirit God Technique circulated, the fluctuations on this little figure’s body grew increasingly dense. The little figure, originally only thirty centimetres in size, showed signs of growth.

At a certain moment, it suddenly paused, then the little figure violently surged to double its size, measuring over sixty centimetres.

[I’ve reached the Mid Stage Earth Grade!] The Spiritual Energy fluctuations on Qin Yichen’s body also abruptly surged.

“Excellent.” The old man sitting across from him had also drunk a cup of Elf Tea, but with his eyes slightly narrowed, he observed the changes in Qin Yichen’s body.

Qin Yichen was truly making the most efficient use of the item.

“Here, have another cup.”

When signs of decline appeared in the Spiritual Energy fluctuations on Qin Yichen’s body, the old man once again filled his cup.

After drinking the second cup of tea. The Spiritual Body that had just doubled in size immediately solidified considerably, and the divine radiance on its body also appeared much more concentrated.

After drinking the third cup of tea…

Qin Yichen’s Spiritual Energy reached directly to the Peak of the Mid Stage Earth Grade. One step further, and he would advance into Late Stage Earth Grade.

When the old man was about to pour him a fourth cup, he stopped the old man.

“Hall Master, might this Junior be permitted to retain some of the remainder?” He was brazenly asking, if after eating, he could still take away leftovers.

This Elf Tea was an extremely great treasure. Not only could it nourish the body and Soul, most importantly, it could extend one’s lifespan.

He was considering this for the Elders in his Family.

His Parents, his Grandfather… Their cultivation realms were all not that high, their lifespans were limited. Being able to drink a mouthful of Elf Tea could extend their lives by at least ten years!

Perhaps in the future he could seek a few tea leaves from the Elf Race with Pills, but with his current capabilities, that was not possible.

“You little rascal.” The old man was thoroughly amused by this move, his tone carrying a bit of reproach, but he still took out a jade pot and poured him half a pot.

“Many thanks, Hall Master.” Qin Yichen was overjoyed.

This half pot of Elf Tea contained a full five or six cups. It was enough for each of his relatives to have a cup!

“Good, now that you’ve drunk the tea, you can’t keep hiding things from this old man, right?” The old man was also very direct, getting straight to the point. “You have been teaching them Alchemy all along, but you’ve never taught them even half a bit of your Alchemy Technique!”

He had observed Qin Yichen refining Pills from the shadows and noticed that Qin Yichen’s Alchemy Technique was different from everyone else’s!
